I looked back a few pages to see if a Throwback thread was started and I didn't see one. Sorry if I'm wrong.

Me personally I thought they looked great. Them helmets are Classic man and with the bright yellow pants that was just very cool to see. I wish we would have won and Gibb kept using them like he did with the white uni's for a while.

What did ya'll think?

agreed. the throwbacks were sweet. helmets should be resuscitated.

speaking of the eagles, how did they come about green and gray after those colors we saw yesterday? they looked like a derivative of the charger baby blues

The rule with jerseys is.....don't change them if your'e winning..it never turns out well.

Change them if things aren't going well to mix things up...which the eagles did

The throwback uniforms were alright. I like the gold pants and helmet but I prefer the burgundy jerseys with those pants. I like the 70th year throwback uniforms best of all, the burgundy helmets with the spear, burgundy jerseys and gold pants.

Navy and a gold/yellow like the Redskins helmet.

Nothing like the Easter Bunny's poop that the Eagles wore.

Ugh, I HATED them. I just don't like so much yellow. Then someone said that Vince Lombardi personally designed them, and modeled them after the Packers. Sorry, give me burgundy jerseys and white pants at home every single game.

These throwbacks are hideous. The 70th anniversary unis were much better.

These throwbacks are now loser uniforms. I never want to see them again.

As my wife said, NOBODY looks good in that much yellow. I thought they were hideous and blame the loss on them. I hope they burn them and bury the ashes deep.

Given Gibbs somewhat supersticious approach to uniforms (remember how he kept them in all whites for the longest time), I would not expect to see them again.

I thought they looked pretty nice. They where a hell of a lot better then the Steelers and Eagles throwback uniforms.

I liked them, they were a change. I agree I like the 70th aniversary uniforms much more. Atleast we aren't the Eagles or the Steelers! ;)

As I said before, I did not like the throwbacks. They are red & yellow instead of burgandy & gold. Last time I check the Skins wear burgandy & gold. Hopefully 75 years will pass before we have to see these again.

I like the helmets but I didn't really like the overall look. Maybe if he had rocked some old school burgundy jerseys I would have liked them more.

I was thinking that too. If we'd have chosen the burgundy jersey version of the throwbacks that might have been OK. But Joe Gibbs has some sort of pet peeve about wearing burgundy jerseys (current or throwback) at home.

The uniforms were just way too bright, they lacked balance.

Agreed! But I prefer the original single feather helmet over the spear.

Just bad memories. anyone else remember this?

I'll pass on the throw backs. Yellow is a aweful color, IMO I kinda link yellow to being cowardly.

If WE would have won it would have eased the pain of that ugly yellow.

That's what I'm saying! lol. I don't get the whole "we won so lets wear the same thing next week" or the "we lost so lets burn these damn things..." idea. It's who's wearing the jersey that determines W's and L's, not the pigment of said jersey. People are nuts. :rant:

I thought the exact opposite. I thought they were much better than our 70th anniversary edition.
I dare say those are some of the best throwback uni's I have ever seen for any team!
