Skins players have the week off?
 

I was just watching comcast and they said the redskins players have the week off. This makes no sense to me, we have 3 new players (on the O line Kendall, Fabini and Wade) and a young and inexeprienced qb in Campbell. I'm not jumping the gun because the skins lost, they are 2-1 going into the bye week (thats fine with me), but we have a young team that needs a lot of work on both sides of the ball, why are they giving them the week off when this time can be spent shoreing up deficiencies and correcting mistakes?

I don't agree with the whole week off. Maybe a couple days. We have a lot of kinks to work out.

Gibbs answered questions about that in his press conference today--lots of injuries was one reason (at least 10 players), and both the full coaching staff and the team captains and vets felt like it was the right move. Take a break, recharge, and get back to work with a vengeance.

As Gibbs said, anything can be second-guessed, and this will be too if they lose to Detroit. But if they win, no one will compliment Gibbs on making the right move!

I don't like it,I think they should have gotten some work in. Let them have Thursday through Monday off but not the whole week. It's only the 4th week of the season.

They're going to choose not to play this week....they're going to shut down the engines, recharge the batteries, and get themselves back to neutral....When the next week is over, we'll choose to play again...I dont want to get into what happened last night because its only going to make me mad...lets just get through this week, lets keep our eyes on the prize, and lets close some ass....

True its only wk 4 of the season but they will need to rest up for a long 13wk stretch without a break too..

The team needs the time off. I hate having an early bye week. It makes for a long haul over the rest of the season.

there is no way you can take a week off in the NFL and expect to be prepared. this should be a week for players to sit down and go through the progressions of working with their teammates around them. I am in amazement, we cannot afford to let this season go so soon. not that i am saying that all is lost due to this, but J.Campbell still has alot to learn, the team needs to work more with their coaches, and what better time, during two weeks of preparation?

I pray and hope that I am completely wrong, and the fact that Joe Gibbs has 3 SB rings has something to do with this.
