Vomiting while I type this, but...
The Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl ( I now pause to swallow the throwup in my mouth). Romo looks awesome, their offense is freaking rolling, and their defense is playing well. Their only weakness appears to be their secondary. And you know what really bites? They freakin have two 1st round picks next year, theirs and Cleveland's. I hate Dallas.

Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...

Never said they would win. Everyone can deny it, BUT the f'n Boys are the best in the NFC right now, and I think they'll go to the SB. |
Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...
Oh come on dude, you gonna start kissing there jock strap like all the foolish writers in this world?
There is a whole lotta football to be played! How can you make that assumption after only four weeks of football? That makes me puke that someone could make such a stupid statement. |
Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...
Hey man, you think Im happy about this? Who is better than Dallas in the NFC right now?

And a shaky offensive line. They should've benched Bulger earlier and brought in Gus. Not that it would've mattered much, but you could tell that Bulger wasn't 100%. As for the Cowboys. Yeah, they look good, but its very, very early in the season and anything can happen. I wouldn't say that they're going to the Superbowl just yet. |

Eh...cut him some slack. He's just saying how damn solid they look right now. Their is ALOT of football to be played....but I agree...They ARE the most balanced and solid NFC team out there right now. Are they going to the Super Bowl!?? Hell no!! Cause the Skins are BABY!!! See my sig below :smashfrea |

i agree with you, they are the best in the NFC, but the season is long, anything can happen injuries, ect. |
Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...
As I said before, as of now Dallas is the class of the NFC. It's not something you want to say, but they're playing VERY well. Their Oline looks just amazing, their D is good, Romo is suprisingly good, and TO is being the TO that dominated in Philly.
This team will be very hard to stop. If they don't hit an injury skid, I wouldn't be surprised one bit to see them in the super bowl. |
Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...
How about the Lions throwin' 34 pts up in the 4th qrtr today!!?? 7 of those was a fluke from the onsides kick, but 27pts were very real....Damn! I hope our CB's are ready to play!
|
Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...
All it takes is a couple of plays with a couple of injuries... Romo goes down... Ware goes down... then where are they?
|
Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...
i agree on this one unfortunately...
|
Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...
I don't agree much with Paul, but I have a hard time disagreeing with him on this one. While it's much too early to send them to the Super Bowl, they do look like the best team in the NFC right now, and Green Bay being the second. There are plenty more games left in the season though.
I seem to remember a few years ago, The Raiders started out much like the Cowboys are this year. I think that was the year where they got beat by New England in the snow. Of course we know how the Raiders ended up after that season, so who knows? |
Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...
Don't forget how hot dallas got last year when romo came in off the bench but then he and the team fizzled late in the year and then we all remember that glorious playoff game of theirs!!! I believe the Giants and Falcons started 6-2 last year....how'd they end up?? That being said, so far they do look good so far this year....but I'm waiting on T.O. to start something soon...he can't keep his mouth shut all year.

Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...
i said the same thing, they look stron and are on a roll.....
they may go, but they wont win |

I doubt we let the Lions do that to us, but our offense better put up at least 28 points. If they don't, we will not win this game. |

I consider myself a realist when viewing the present top NFL teams...However,I think there's way too football to play to crown Dallas NFC champs. I'm sick of weak kneed comments that Dallas is the best in the NFC. I say wait until game 8 of the season before making a clear evaluation. Many teams peak early and fall due to key player injuries, While other make a run later in the season. Yes,the Cowboys looking good now but they can be beaten like any other team. |

Thank you dude. When I first started to read this post I was like WTF. Way too early in the season to say anything about SB contenders unless talking about Pats or Colts. Secondly, as I've said in another thread, Dallas' success is tied to Romo and he seems to be a player who rides on emotion. Big highs, big lows... just like last season. Maybe the whole season is a high, but I doubt it. Something will happen - a good defense pummels him all game or intercepts him and suddenly his confidence falls. Then the emotion he feeds off becomes detrimental. Personally, I prefer the stable types like Campbell. Sure I want more TD passes and bigger numbers too, but that has a lot to do w/ coaching/playcalling. Anyway, F the Cowpokes. And I think the packers look better too. |
Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...
Shit the Colts started 13-0 a couple of seasons ago and lost in their first playoff game at home.

Of course major injuries can happen to any team, and even the best team can have their season derailed by them. But to say that at this point in their careers you would rather have Campbell than Romo, I don't understand that comment. I love to watch JC, he throws an incredible deep ball. That being said, AT THIS POINT, Romo is clearly the better QB. |

I hate to say it but u might b right

Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...
Im going to put this in perspective for the OP. The cowboys have played the Giants, Dolphins, Bears and Rams.
Dallas 45 Giants 35 We only gave up 24 points to the Giants, and if Al Saunders would have called a better game and kept the defense off the field it would have been a much different outcome. Dallas 37 Miami 20 Another bad team, actually one of the worst in the NFL, if not the worst Dallas 34 Chicago 10 Did you watch Chicago against the Lions today, enough said. Dallas 35 Rams 7 The Rams are right there with the Dolphins, they cant throw, they cant run and they cant stop anyone. Until Dallas plays a team that has any sort of strength on there roster, I refuse to take them seriously. Romo is playing good right now, but hes torching very weak secondaries. Maybe Im wrong, maybe there not just hype and there actually a really good team, but I just refuse to believe that right now, lets leave the superbowl reservations for there matchup with New England in two weeks because guess what, somehow they end up with another cake game next against buffalo. If they blow out the Patriots, then I will say there good but I just dont see it, im sorry. There defense is not good enough to make a superbowl run. |

Why is Romo better? is it because he puts up big numbers. Romo is a good QB, but the season is four games long, hell Matt Schaub is having a great season, does that mean the Texans are going to the Superbowl. You obviously dont understand something, big numbers doesnt always equal superbowl wins. Roethlisberger never throws for a ton of TD or yards, but guess what hes got a superbowl ring, Dan Marino put up huge numbers and after today(thanks to Brett Favre) really has nothing to show for it, big numbers mean nothing if you cant hold the ball on a field goal attempt when your team needs you the most, give Romo some more games before you jump on his crotch, he was pretty bad in the games leading up to the playoffs last year, so give it some time. |

after 4 games, are you kidding me. |
Re: Vomiting while I type this, but...
this is ridiculous and this thread is funny, 4 weeks into the season a redskins board is saying that the cowboys are going to the superbowl after beating the Dolphins who lost to the Raiders (and everyone else they have played) The Giants (who excluding the 2nd half of last week look dead in the water), The Bears (who have no QB and lost half of their defense) and The Rams (without Stephen Jackson and Marc Bulger with 2 broken ribs) Just stupid

Atleast someone agrees with me, lets wait til they play the patriots before you guys get all crazy about the Cowboys. I kinda feel like the OP is a cowboys fan using a skins name to get some pub. on here for his team, go away troll. |

Cowboys are a good team. Give them credit. They have legit pass rushers, O-line is playing solid, WR's are good and Romo is really playing great football. I don't care who they have and have not played. They beat Chi in CHi. That's a good win and we would all be happy if we went into Chi and won a road game. They are beating the teams they are suppose to beat and that's the sign of a good team. |

There beating horrible teams, there secondary is weak, but they have only played one team that could throw the ball, and that would be the Giants, who have no run game to speak of so they really couldnt balance there offense, yet still put up 35 on Dallas, in Dallas. I wont give them credit for beating bad teams. Just so you know Dallas' opponents have a combined record of 2-13, yeah they definately have faced some challenges, great team those cowboys. |
