USC was overrated all season. Playing mediocre competition and squeaking out some wins. LSU and Florida are both better than USC.

I do believe LSU solidified it's status as King of the Jungle. Their coach was fearless to the point of stupidity going 5-for-5 in 4th down conversions. If they lost I'm sure he'd be goat of the week, maybe even the season.

A) Who the hell is calling the D for Fla? That is awful.
B) Les Miles is a moron. A lucky moron yes but a moron nonetheless. He could go through that situation 100 more times and never make those 5 conversions. He should have kicked and tied at the end.


On another note....why were the announcers so stupid and why was Urban Meyer even stupider? With almost 2 minutes in the game and 1st and goal the clock is not even a concern for LSU. Why would Meyer let the clock run? LSU is not going to run out of time. They'll either score or they won't. That was dumb. Almost as dumb was the announcers not realizing this and then even when they did realize that Fla should have called TO they didn't really realize why. Morons.

I really wish I hadn't missed the end of that game... and like an idiot, I just realized its only my HD channels having probs, not my reg... I could've watched it.

oh well, at least i get to watch the redskins report lol...

back to the topic, though, I don't get why USC was rated so high anyway. They always have the best depth/talent in the "history of the game" and they always drop one. so far, their offense and defense weren't even in the top 20, and they were only number 2?

maybe they'll fall to number 3 this week.

Seriously at the end LSU has 1st and goal from like the 7 and 2 minutes left. They run a play and then Fla proceeds to let the clock run to 1:18 before they finally call a TO. Like they were letting the clock run hoping LSU would run out of time. WHEN THEY ARE ON THE 7 YARD LINE!?!??!?! That is just plain dumb.

Florida was really stupid for not calling a time out...they don't have 2 min warning like the NFL and they just let the clock tick away! I'm still trying to figure out if there was any rational behind not calling a time out...I really can't think of a scenario where I would let the clock run down.

not the makings of a top 10 team, if you ask me, but no one is so I'll shut up... i just can't stand sc...

first game i've been to all season, 14 rows up from the end zone where the farm (stanford) scores the go-ahead TD.

no excuses, our team played horribly against an inferior opponent starting an emergency backup frosh redshirt quarterback who never played a college snap before last night. booty is not clutch and should have taken himself out after breaking his middle finger in the second quarter.

i want to bury my head in the california sand after this loss. just horrible.

another reason the polls are a joke, usc loses at home to a 40 point underdog and they stay in the top 10? youve got to be kidding me, absolutely ridiculous. Florida's dropped 2 straight and they remain in the top 15? I cant stand the media bias in CFB.

I'm a little upset that I wasn't here to post on Saturday night because I was 100% sure that LSU was going to pull that game out the entire time I was watching it. When my brother sent me a text saying "WTF is going on in the LSU game?" (LSU was down 10 in the 3rd) my response: "LSU is still gonna win." As it turns out, the voters were right in making LSU number 1 and now it's them, Cal, OSU and USF(?) as the best teams in the nation. You've gotta be kidding me. Tell me who's overrated in that bunch...

Better yet I'll tell you: Cal. Nate Longshore is mediocre and would get destroyed by LSU. As for OSU, they're a worse team than last season and LSU is better than Fla was last year. The problem with the SEC is it's so damn hard to survive it. LSU goes Kentucky (very good), Auburn (always tough) and Bama, then ends the year with Arkansas. If they survive that and the SEC Championship, the National Title game will be a walk!
