I guess Romo's contract extension
Will have to wait. Hail to the Buffalo Bills!!! What a gutty performance by a team decimated with injuries and a rookie QB.
|
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
It's not over yet
|
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
I spoke to soon but I still say it was a gutty performance by a decimated team.
|
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
And this is why you wait to start a thread like this
|
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
YOU IDIOT!!! You spoke too soon and look at what you did. Go into a corner and cry, I can't believe the Bills lost. I am so pissed.
|
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
Like I said in another thread, let's just worry about the Redskins winning games. If we don't beat the Packers it won't matter who won tonight
|
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
Ok. That was just nuts. I hate Dallas.
They really tried to lose that one, but the Bills just wanted to lose it more, to honor Thrumon Thomas, I guess. Wow. Good to see Romo having trouble, though. Seemed to have lots of trouble reading the zones. A D liked we played against Detroit will have some effect on him, IMO. |
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
I almost started texting people, but put my phone away to not jinx it.
Good to know it was already doomed by this thread  That game was so brutal to watch. F... The Cowboys |
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
I'm glad Romo sucked tonight, maybe now they will stop sucking his dick every time they talk about him. You'd think he was second coming of jesus or something. I'm sick of all the commercials, and I'm sick of all the Favre comparisons. Shut up already!

Sick or not, I need him for fantasy. He better not do that shit again the rest of the year, unless it's against Washington. |

Shame on you for even taking him...AND Owens!!!! You should be kicked in the nutts for punishment! |

Fantasy is a totally different animal. I want to win, and I am doing a pretty damn good job. |

Whatever, I have the same record as you and I don't have a single cowboy. TRAITOR! How can you secretly root for them? I mean, you have to sit there and think, "I hope Romo and Owens do well, I need to win this week". That's just wrong! Take your kick in the nutts like a man! |

Since I already knew that I was going to take my 1st loss tonight, I wanted them to play like shit and lose. Instead they played like shit and won. Totally pissed me off. |

See that's just wrong. You should never hope any cowboys player performs well. If Romo and Owens have big games, 9 times out of 10 they will win. |

Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
well... I can't believe they won. I just watched the game on tivo and that was gut-wrenching, BUT, the cloud has a silver lining. Had buffalo had ANY offense they would've handily won that game. Dallas has some GLARING holes and we should be able to take advantage of them when we play.

He is best out of the pocket. I was also thinking that having Landry shadow him some would be a good way to contain his running. |
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
He's got a low completion percentage and consequently he's being picked once every 20 throws. I expect this trend to continue.
He's doing a good job getting the ball to his receivers in space, and unfortunately I also expect this trend to continue. |
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
I guess homos contract extension....? what is the purpose of this thread to begin with?
|
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
Man, I wish the Bills had a hands team. There are soo many what ifs in that game, but i think this proves that the Cowboys are very human and also speaks to media hype of this team. As far as the redskins go, this doesnt change anything and im not ready to crown any team in the NFC east yet.
I kinda like that they have this overinflated sense of ego right now and I wish the bears hadn't beaten the packers to bring them down to earth b/c I think they would have let their guard down a little bit against us if they came in to our game undefeated... |
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
How can this be?! The Cowboys are ranked #3 in all the power rankings...I just don't understand it. Can power rankings be wrong?!
|
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
Romo was really inconsistent last night. I thought the Bills would pull it off, but I have to give props to the Cowgirls for hanging in there and winning a tough game on the road. They could have easily given up after the third or fourth or fifth pic, or the fumble, or the interception for a TD, or the other interception for a TD, or the kickoff return for a TD, or the timeout just before Folk made the first FG...
Bottom line is they were very resilient. Their D kept them in the game, and they overcome as much adversity in one game I have ever seen. I can't wait until November 18th. |

I think the question you want to ask is: "Do power rankings mean anything?" |
The Cowboys don't play the west coast offense so no dinks and dunks and a 70% or better completions. What was his picks per attempts ratio before the game? The point is, I don't think, at least hope, he won't have a 5 INTs games again this season. |
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
Dallas' problem is that they can't really run the football. Barbour does a nice job on the draw play but other than that they are below average. Adding to this problem is the fact that Garret obviously doesn't think running the ball is important. This is not a good strategy for the long term. Wade Phillips probably knows that, but he has no control over Garret whatsoever. He is the head cheerleader. Come December things will look much different in the NFC East.
Also, is it just me or does Dockery look like he's 40 lbs heavier than he was last year? You give an offensive lineman all that moneyand he's going to go to the buffet. |
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
From what I saw, it looks like we can go in with the exact same defensive gameplan against dallas as we did against Detroit.....since romo is not as comfortable in the pocket....and we have a healthy secondary...may I add that TO hates playing against ST becuase TO..for how big he is...hates getting hit more than any other Receiver.
And if Andre Carter comes in as amped up as he was last week....he will give the shaky Dallas O-line fits. I hope Terry Glenn stays out cause he usually kills us. Dallas looked very beatable last night, there is no way they can run the ball against our Linebackers. |
From what I saw, it looks like we can go in with the exact same defensive gameplan against dallas as we did against Detroit
I was thinking the same thing. It looks almost like what the bills did to them, and if they had any offense at all, it would've worked. I know as skins fans we're salivating over a game like that, knowing we would've turned that into a blowout, but... They found a way to win against some incredible odds. They managed the game and when they were in a pinch they answered REPEATEDLY. There were some amazing things that they did at the end of that game and they came out of there with the win, and we can't overlook that. |

Those numbers will correct themselves as the year goes on. |
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
im pissed that that loser romo got an interview after throwing 5 picks like he was still the hero. what a f-ing tool.

A f-ing tool that even after the 5 picks still has more yards, TD's and a higher QB rating than Jason Campbell. |
Re: I guess Romo's contract extension
You know if JC had a game like that then lead the team down for a score and a few more recptions to get us into FG range for the win the reaction would be. Wow he held things together, what a come back, he got us the win even with 5 ints., etc...

Well at least you hit the TOOL on the head. If he keeps up the GREAT JOB he did last night not for long! In the LONG run we have a MUCH more COMPLETE QB for the future THAN YOUR homo. |

That's cool, but I'm fairly certain that you'll never see Campbell do everything humanly possible to give a game away. |

You are 100% correct, because Gibbs would have pulled Campbell after the 3rd or 4th INT instead of maintaining faith in his QB. Say what you want, he had the worst possible game a QB could ever have, EXCEPT for the fact that even though he was playing crappy, even though he almost single handedly gave the game away, when the game was on the line he still drove his team downfield for 2 scores in 20 seconds to win. Say what you want, but nothing diminishes that fact. There are only a very small handful of QB's in the league that have that type of "moxy". |

He's still a big time tool.

I'm not one of the people that tries to act like "Romo sucks" simply because he's a Cowboy, but I was fairly certain that he would come back down to Earth at some point this season, and it appears that it happened last night. Of course I don't expect him to have another five pick game, but he's also not the second coming of Brett Favre like the media seems to think. And as far as scoring twice in 20 seconds; it was actually once in 2+ minutes, and then a 19 yard drive after an onside kick. Do that against New England and I'll be impressed. |
