Jason Campbell NFC Offensive Player of the Week!
 

Just heard on Redskins Lunch from Larry Michael that Jason Campbell was named Offensive Player of the week for his performance. This should give him some serious confidence. Let's hope he keeps up the good work. Congrats Jason.

Yeah great for JC, and I don't think he's the type to let this go to his head. He seems pretty humble and knows his place on the team.

I heard that as well. It's good for JC to recieve some recognition outside of the Skins organization. Big stuff, and well deserved

I did not hear him but are you sure that he did not say that JC was on top of the voting so far as that what was said yesterday. I heard today (not sure who) that the voting went until sometime tomorrow and if this is the case then we should correct this threads title so people will still and go vote. I looke on the NFL site and could not find how long the voting goes on for.

congrads JC!!!!! that means the experts must have really watched the game and how he handled himself and the offense b/c his paper stats besides his completion percentage (22 of 29) werent overly impressive (2 tds, no ints, 240 something yards)

Seriously, great job Jason.

Even thought I've always had high expectations for him, he's consisently blown them out of the water. I just feel more comfortable watching the offense, knowing big 17 can put the ball basically anywhere on the field.

It's a really impressive accomplishment when you consider about half of his passes were of the intermediate variety. One of the few knocks on Campbell is his intermediate accuracy, but he was on point in that game and picked the Lions apart with it. Seeing him excel in a so called problem area is exciting to watch.

I'll be much happier if he leads us to the playoffs but I guess if he makes the Pro Bowl we're probably going to the playoffs.. It's amazing to think he's only had 11 NFL starts!

Only 11, thats ridicoulous. What shocks me is not only is he playing at the level hes at now, but hes humble and soft spoken. Very rare these days (see Travis Johnson)

And to top it off, Andre Carter is nominated for the GMC defensive player of the week. Judging by the other nominees he's up against this week, I think he's a shoe in. EVERYONE go to NFL.com, look in the top right hand corner, and click on the link to go vote.

If you had any doubts i hope they were all put to pasture after that performance on sunday. Its something to watch him progress and it seems as though he progresses a little with each start. With that being said congrats JC!!!

LOL. Dang it. I seriously thought about posting this as I was reading this thread for the first time.

So...at what point do we start deciding that Jason MUST be a lifetime Redskin? Are we as fans ready to push for whatever it takes to keep him. I'm ready. This is the first time in a loooong time in which I watch the game in hopeful anticipation of what #17 is going to do. I guess the closest would be when we drafted Shuler until he let me (us?) down.

JC is the first QB that has looked like a true Franchise QB for the Redskins in my lifetime (I'm 25), think about that (barring, of course, a couple of good years - one great - from Rypien). I don't think it's hyperbole either. I realize it was the Lions and there will be bumps in the road for Jason, maybe some big ones, but what will make him good for the long term is his work ethnic, at least from everything we've heard. The best is yet to come.

Oh, and apologies if this has been posted already, but I just came upon it on YouTube when I was watching those Eastern Motors commercials with Jason. Santana and ARE are freaking hilarious.

Let's all take a moment to knock on wood here. Jason looks like he's got the stuff, but wait until he has played a whole season and see how does when it matters in the post season to call him "franchise".
