Lloyd Comments to the Junks
PFT has a short piece up about some comments Brandon Lloyd made on the Junks: (I searched for another thread and finding none decided to "run with the story")
BRANDON LLOYD SPECULATES THAT AIKMAN IS GAY Redskins receiver Brandon Lloyd has some eye-opening comments about former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman during a Monday visit with the Sports Junkies on WJFK in D.C."I don't believe Troy Aikman anyway," Lloyd said. "He wasn't man enough to admit his personal life situation when he was a player." Pressed by the Junkies to clarify his comments, Lloyd tried to backtrack. "I'm speculating," he said, laughing, "just like he speculates."The full spot is right here.Later in the spot, Lloyd says that his former teammate, Jeff Garcia, isn't gay. When listening to Lloyd's remarks, which come at about nine minutes and seventeen minutes of the spot, further illustrate how difficult it would be for a guy who comes out of the closet to survive in the locker room. You just can't fix stupid. |
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
LLOYD needs to shut up and catch a pass, that dude is a bumb!!!! another FA that we didnt need!!
|
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
If we're just speculating, I wouldn't be surprised it B. Lloyd was gay.
|
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
Anyone who has 1 catch in 5 games isn't worth the time of day. This guy needs to just go away.
|
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
Maybe this will give the team the ammo it needs to fine him for conduct detrimental to the team, which in turn will help recover some of the cash we've blown on this clown.
Seriously, if I was playing as outright TERRIBLY as that dude, I wouldn't be saying a DAMN THING on any radio or TV. If I *WAS* on, all I'd be doing is talking about how disappointed I was in my plan and that I couldn't wait to get another chance to do better. Certainly not questioning the sexuality of Troy Aikman. Good lord. |
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
It's just stupid for him to, first, go on a radio station interview and then for putting himself out there like that. I may understand that he is upset at Aikman questioning his effort.
But you can't talk shit unless you do some shit first. Put in work and then talk all the trash you want, but until then you need to keep your mouth shut. |
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
I can't wait til this guy is wearing another uniform. I really can't wait.
I'm tired of hearing his comments and at the same time seeing zero production. Catch some balls and he can start talking. |
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
I'm sick of hearing about Lloyd. His production/attention ratio is off the charts. He will not be in Washington next season, and I wonder if he'll be anywhere else. |
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
I really hope this doesnt get any national media attention....becuase if it does, it will blow up, I gaurantee it and thats the last distraction we need right now.
|
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
Actually, I just listened to it, and I really didn't gather that he called aikman gay. They were talking about Garcia, and Lloyd just started to jump on Aikman for hating on him during the game.
This story is bull, listen to it yourself. He was joking around, and PFT is blowing it out of proportion. This is a non-story. |
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
I would take a gay Aikman over a straight Lloyd anyday!
|
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
I'm still trying to figure out what Lloyd's dumb ass happens to be...?
Damn sure ain't a WR........WHAT A TOOL! This clown that CAN'T play football needs a one way ticket outta DC! |
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
I hope whatever Lloyd is doing in his music world is more productive than what he's doing on the football field, it's going to have to be his future calling. Right now I just wish he would go away..........
|
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
Even if Aikman was gay, it still wouldn't change the fact that Llyod sucks.
|
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
That really means a lot, coming from the 136th ranked WR in the NFL. What a high-profile guest, I'm sure his comments carry a lot of weight.
|
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
How does somebody with so little production have a radio show? WTF does he talk about? That is why he talks about Aikman. He can't talk about the game cause he doesn't catch any balls and he doesn't play. What a tool.

Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
Brandon Lloyd is a cross between the Tin Man and a Jellyfish.

The Jellyman. I like it. I'm amazed that this guy hasn't totally destroyed or at least tainted the team chemistry. Like in the instance of TO. The dude ran his mouth all the time and just completely ruined the chemistry of the Eagles when he was playing there. Lloyd just seems to talk shit and everyone looks the other way. He must have little or no voice in the locker room. The guys must think of him as a huge joke. |
I really hope this doesnt get any national media attention....becuase if it does, it will blow up, I gaurantee it and thats the last distraction we need right now.
But then we beat the Cardinals, and people around the league won't care, because there isn't a need for some crackpot distraction theory.
It will all work itself out. |
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
I've had harsh things to say about this guy since week 9 of last year. Nothing this guy has ever said or done has proven, or even indicated, that us Lloyd-haters were wrong.
|
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
i heard the interview and it is being reported way out of context. they dug in on him and he was off the cuff like he was last week. not that big a deal.
|
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
What would Lloyd know about who is gay? He must be in denial or hiding himself!!!! Hahahahahahaha!!!!! The guy needs to shut the hell up. The Aikmen gay thing is really old and who cares. Brandon is doing this shit to deflect the fact that he is as useless as a wet sock. Gibbs could sign any one of us up to take his roster spot and at least we would give it our all. Shit we might be able to haul in a pass once in awhile, which is a lot more than this shithead. Guy can't perform, but brings up old speculation from the 90's.

Agreed. I thought what was much more interesting was when he talked about playcalling. For those that missed it, Lloyd said that in "true two-minute situations" Jason calls his own plays, without any input from the coaches. And I imagine, it may not be limited to just those situations. Anyhow, I understand that this is probably in large part due to the fact that you want quick decisions during a two-minute drill and communication from sideline to QB could slow things down, but I thought it was pretty interesting to note that JC is being entrusted to call his own plays. I also thought it was much more interesting that, when talking about Moss, he said the players are behind him "no matter what coach says bad things about him." What coach has said anything bad about Moss? |
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
did you hear the interview? you probably should hear it before bashing him. it was actually pretty funny and he was seriously ribbed into it. this is a "who cares" comment and honestly if you listen to him talke you may see it my way. if the players are caling the coaches up to get him in maybe he is being taken the wrong way. listen to the interviews and you tell me.
|
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
i would be bashing him to if i did not hear the interviews but it is hard not to like the guy talk. he said all the right things to get me wanting to start really seeing him contribute. he seems like a real team guy contrary to what others think. listen to interviews

You know what, he walks the walk better than anyone else. The problem is that he's a douche bag. Every account about him when the mic or camera is off is negative. He's not a team player, he's selfish, has bad work ethic, and constantly under performs. He will not be a Redskin after this year, and I am officially totally, completely, 100% done talking about him. He's a waste of my energy. --Attention Mods-- Next time I mention Lloyd, ban me for 3 months because I'll deserve it. |
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
don't you think a interview that took place today is worthy of discussion? i agree talking and producing are two different things but how can he produce on the sideline. when thrash, mCcardell, and caldwell are starting above him he has little chance to prove himself. if portis and taylor are actuall calling saunders telling him to get the ball to lloyd that says something. i welcome the ban, i onlhy post when i have something to say which is rare.

please listen to interviews, after you hear them if you want to tell me i am an ass i will accept it. just hear it first

I'm not calling you an ass at all... I'm sorry if you took my comments as an attack in some way. I'm just done talking about the same thing over and over again. I just don't get how people can rave about how great "team player X" is, then that player blows it by turning everyone off in an organization from the trainers to the players, then the people are won back by "team player X" saying "all the right things". If you want to know where someone is going, usually you can get a prediction by knowing where they've been. That's all I'm saying. |

He will not be in Washington next season, and I wonder if he'll be anywhere else.
He will be in New England, or Indianapolis catching TD's, his mouth is what has kept him from endearing himself to Gibbs, I just don't think Gibbs wants anything to do with him at this point, and I wouldn't blame it all on Lloyd, I think if they focused him in the passing game he would be very productive, but I get the feeling Gibbs would rather get that production from others. I get the feeling he shot his mouth off last year about our passing game or lack there of, which probably ticked Gibbs off, so as long as you have WR's like ARL, and Moss, there's no need to throw Lloyd into the game plan, although with the lack of ability Moss has shown to catch a simple pass this season Gibbs has to be close to increasing Lloyds playing time. Mcardell is a nice addition but he's not a #2, same goes for Thrash, Lloyd is if used properly. There is I believe a real pissing match going on right now between Gibbs and Lloyd and Lloyd ain't winning that one, at least not in DC. |
Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
How much dead cap space is that guy going to cost the team next year?

Re: Lloyd Comments to the Junks
Lloyd being on the team is the result of one of our many idiotic roster moves from the past that are killing us right now. How nice would it be to have a real receiver to play at this point when we basically have only one receiver who can catch the ball (ARE)?

yeah i guessed he was gay in the pre-season when i heard him talk for the first time . . . it makes sense b/c a gay guy would have a hard time fitting in an NFL locker room and guess what? He didnt fit in SF at all, none of the players liked him and while he may cheer on the sidelines during games for us he doesnt seem to have made many friends in the locker room . . . |

They build their teams on undervalued talent, not overvalued crap. |

You might be on to something here. I say get him in there if he can help us win. He seems to be getting open the few times they have went to him. Bottom line is we need Lloyd right now. As sorry as he is and has been we need him to produce cause we are not scoring enough points. No way he is on NE next year. Their number one pick from last year, Chad Jackson can't even get on the field. Lloyd will be a full time rapper next year. |
Why would NE or Indy want a crappy receiver with an attitude problem?
They build their teams on undervalued talent, not overvalued crap.
Take a look, did they go after Moss? Yes! Why because when you have an offense that can utilize your talents it tends to keep players in check, there's not a whole lot to have an attitude about, funny the only thing anyone heard from Moss this season is TD. Lloyd wasnt a lousy WR before he came to us, and he looks to be in the best shape of his life at this point. Fans just can't admit that it may not always be the player it could very well be the coaching and the players around them, or in other words the team that they are so endeared to! |

Exactly, because all of us fans just imagined him loafing after an interception that he could have prevented. It's not like he admitted to it or anything. |
