Its time for joe to step down.
He doesnt have that killer in his eyes.Keep greg williams, bring in bill cower now ,we are are not going anywhere and thats the fact.Joe gibbs is too soft we should have put them away on that fourthdown call, bump a fieldgoal(and thats putting it nicley).I love joe gibbs like a father but this has went too far for too long.Lets keep it real redskins fans, this game has passed him bye and he knows it and we all know it!Its hard but its fair!

Re: Its time for joe to step down.
smartest thing he called for all day:
Letting them score so we could get another chance . dumbest thing he did today: Letting them score so we could get another chance we flat out suck ass, we ARE the worst team with a winning record |
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
boy r u going to get it :nono:
:offtopic:where did u come up with that screen name? are u dr red duke of houston?:laughing2 |
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
You got it wrong!! It's time for Gregg Williams to step down he's the most over rated Defensive Co-ordinator.
|
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
And let the bloodbath begin. Who else head are we gonna call for who doesn't deserve it after this game? JC? Portis? Lloyd? I mean come on.
:screama: |
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
Free piece of advice. If you're going to start an anti-Gibbs thread w/ lousy grammer, trailing sentences and emotional outbursts you might as well lock down yourself (actually, I'm not sure if that's possible).
|
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
What an ignorant thread. The defense gave this game away, our offense played lights out today. Our defense committed stupid penalties that sustained drives for the Eagles. The defense gave up big plays. None of that has anything to do with Joe Gibbs.
|
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
um...why does this thread even exist?
|
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
LOL...yes the customary "Gibbs must go" thread after a loss. I'm with you dude - he should've gone at the end of last year.
The old man sucks, period. He'll step down at the end of the season. Saunders and Greg Williams stink too - neither would make a good head coach. Williams' scheme can't stop a 3rd and 21? All this money invested in big name coaches, and not one credible successor to Gibbs - unbelievable! |
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
In reference to G Will -- our defense was down Taylor, Smoot, Washington -- that is a significant blow to what we try to do.
That being said, Gibbs should have considered that when we kicked a field goal to go up by 5 instead of gone for a TD to win the game. |
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
if he is gonna step down take Gregg Williams with him cuz I think he is a horrible Defensive Coordinator... he was good when he blitzed a couple of years ago but he has wore out his stay in Washington

It won't exist for long. As soon as the mods get around to it, they'll probably punish this thread. |
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
ok well someone needs to go we look terrible
|
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
we need young coaches who have something to prove. not coaches who are riding there old success...

Re: Its time for joe to step down.
oh my god enough already damn it no more get rid of gibbs threads just let it fucking go
|

We're allowed to be senile after a loss! I love Steve Spurrier! Ok, moment of senility over. |
ok well someone needs to go we look terrible
That's true - who would you start with? The coach who now leads the league in losses after leading the first half? THe defensive coordinator whose scheme can prevent long bomb TDs but can't prevent a 3rd and 21? THe offensive coordinator whose offense couldn't score a TD from the 3yd line? The veteran players who commit dumb penalties? When there's so many problems you have to start with the coach that's had 4 years with this team (incl. coaches and players) and he hasn't been able to right the ship. Good thing about Gibbs is he will leave himself. Don't need to call for his head. |

well today showed it cant stop the long bomb either .... reggie brown score on one |
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
i think this is a little extreme. let's wait until the season is over. if we end up missing the playoffs again though, i think it might be time to move in a different direction.
|
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
I think we'll see at the end of this season whether Danny boy has any balls. If he does I think Gibbs for sure, and maybe GW and Saunders, are all long gone. He will be doing right by the league and the future of the team because shitcanning would make the statement that this kind of talent waste and piss-poor coaching is not tolerated in the NFL.
On the other hand, if Snyder has no balls and makes no major coaching changes next year will be very similar to this year (oh yeah, and the year before too). |
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
Gibbs is past his prime, and he still is not bad, our only problem is that we are too conservative. When we had the ball on the goal line in the 4th, the only positive play was a pass, yet we ran the next three times. Not to mention, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" our three TD's came in the air, why wouldn't we trust the pass? Besides, our offense was looking dangerous in the air in that set, Campbell was completing pass after pass. We just gave Philly a win, brought them back into the mix, and after next week, both of us will be .500.

He will give Gibbs the courtesy of stepping down rather than firing him. Can't wait to see who Snyder and Cerrato come up with to coach this team next year. |

Re: Its time for joe to step down.
Gibbs needs to go. I understand Gregg WIlliams D gave it up, but come on, the damn Jumbo package does not work. Not to mention your using the Jumbo package from the goddamn 8 yard line. Joe Gibbs is now a gutless coach trying to pick up a few Ws to make his second tenure with the redskins look more like a success than a failure, unfortunately for us he cant coach inside the redzone.

Re: Its time for joe to step down.
Personally I would like to see Russ Grimm or Norm Chow coaching this team next year.

I'm not going to make excuses for Gibbs, but all you calling for his head, you are wrong!! Who are you going to bring to replace him? Let Joe fulfill his contract, next year we draft and sign a free agent WR,DE,OG,DB and believe me this team will on scale with the elite teams. We are very close believe it or not, injuries have decimated this team on offense and defense. Next year Campbell will be more experienced and confident, it will be like night and day. Did you see what he did today? Multiply that X2, we will be healthier and more experienced, if you bring someone new you are going back to the drawing board and the new coach molds his new team. With the backups that are playing now, we will have more depth because of this. |

yeah dude, im aware of that |
Re: Its time for joe to step down.
First off, call off the Cowher talk. Ain't gonna happen. He will come back into the NFL after 2-3 years off, not one. And when he does he will command 6 million a year for his 1 SB win and numerous underachieving teams.
The penalties are absolutely reprehensible. Calling a TO to avoid a delay of game penalty so you can kick a 23 yd FG is dumb. Wasting a TO instead of challenging the call is dumb. Not having 3 plays ready for the next play depending on the outcome of what happens is stupid. I know it's tradition to call for the coaches heads when teams lose. How's the firing of Marty treating the Bolts this year? Coughlin haters are a little quieter now. That being said, there are maybe 10 coaches I'd rather have than Gibbs (but Belechick is in NE, Jimmy Johnson doesnt want to coach anymore and two of them are dead). And as for the GW bashing, the two TD's in the 4th quarter that mattered (screen pass and deep pass) had the right play called. WR made a great play behind the back while PP was in correct position. And Westbrook has made better guys look foolish. And don't forget, Andy Reid is considered a "genius" too. If we miss the playoffs this year, scream for his head and wear paper bags. |

What game are you watching today I saw a resdskins offense that chould not put it in on the gold line also they went for it 4th & 13 on there own 20 late in the 4th Quter that cost us the game!! |

So, instead of going for it on 4th down they should have... what? With no TO's left and 2:30 on the clock punting is the same as walking off the field. |

Who are you going to bring in? You can bring in Russ Grimm, or Bill Cowher or Norm chow. And the reason I say Norm Chow is because he ran an amazing offense at USC and has an uncanny ability to develop QBs. |
exactly!gibbs has given the redskins a better chance of winning these last 4 years than

Norv Turner had better teams as a Redskins coach and made it to the playoffs just as many times as Gibbs has his second time around. Stop living off what Gibbs did in the 80s and early 90s, if this were any other coach his ass would be gone already and you know it. |

Great OC but don't think he'll ever be a great HC. Grimm would only HC here if Joe steps down but remains President. |
