There is a lot to build on from the Dallas game. We played very well, and keep in mind there is NO TEAM better than Dallas left on our schedule. Detroit is 1 game above us, but we have the tie breaker on them. We can and will do this people.
If we play like this, we'll win out!

This was just a really tough game in hostile territory and we played very well. No one left is as tough as this. I'll be surprised if we don't make the playoffs now. We are a good team, and in my mind a top 5 team in the NFC, even better with more health. Giants / Phily / TB / Buff / Chicago / Minn are all beatable. I honestly don't see us losing to any of them if we continue to play the way we did.

I wouldn't be surprised if you're all wrong. We stepped it up against a better team, just to play as inconsistently as we did the weeks before when the chips were down. We were good enough to "just" lose. That is our signature right now. That is who we are.

We're 3-3 in games decided by 7 or less. That's hardly who we are. We are a team hurting, and we produced a great offense vs a very tough team. The Cowboys are likely the 2nd best team in football, and we played an honorable game.

Even if they're "only" the best team in the NFC, they're still one of the top 3-4 teams in the NFL this year, and we had a chance to beat them right down to the final minutes.

This is, frankly, what I expected us to do against the Patriots -- surprise a team most expected to steamroll us, especially given injuries and questions about our offense.

don't know. I was reffing, got home at 5:20, watched the game after tivo'ing, fast forwarded through all the commercials, half-time and between plays, was done at 6:37. Seems like Kiwanuka will be out for awhile, havent heard on Jacobs. Hopefully not, because I do not think Droughns could be an effective everydown back.

Not to be a debbie downer but we are not going to make the playoffs. We have way to many injuries and the defense is falling apart before our eyes. I think teams are figuring out GW's scheme for the year.

I totally agree - the Skins are only 1 game behind Detroit, and Detroit has a very difficult schedule. 9 wins will be good enough for the last wild card. With winnable games against TB, Buffalo, Chicago, and Minnesota, 9 wins is there for the taking, but it has to start next week against Tampa.

Say what you want about the D losing the game, but they came up with a HUGE 3 and out to give us a chance to win. This is a game that gives me hope as a Skins fan, even with the loss.

Did you even watch the game?? We could have very easily mailed it in when we were down by 12, but we didn't and we kept fighting and almost came back and took the lead back. Please have some knowledge before you post.

I feel very positive about the team today even though we lost to the most distasteful team in the world. Young Mr. Campbell appears to be growing up right before our eyes, and he seems to have a great grasp of the no-huddle now which is great to see. I feel much better about things after today than I did after last week. The defense even seemed to hold up pretty well without Taylor. I think we'll get there one of these days, we just have to learn how to practice patience at this point.

No heart? We were in this til the end. I didn't see anyone rolling over. We took our shots down the field and had several nice drives. I think we moved the ball pretty well and I can only see us improving from this point on.

Admire the spirit of this thread, but no playoffs this year. We are 3-4 against the NFC and will lose up in NYC. We will of course be mathematically alive until week 14, and then someone will put us out of our misery.

The progress of JC is exciting though, and I hope Saunders is around next year for offensive continuity. Gibbs and Greg Williams aren't inspiring a whole lot of confidence.

I've taken a strong stance in the past against rock solid predictions about the future. Nobody can predict the future, just make educated guesses at best, so how can you just come out an declare...

JC was terriffic, CP was getting us some yards, and even Moss showed some life, However you do have to notice that we are 1-3 in our division, where tiebreakers could make or break our season. I can only hope that we do pull it off.

Have to take this one game at a time folks. I think they can and will do it also, but we do play a tough TB team next weekend. We played great today, but we did have a typical 2nd half collapse with the D til the last drive. TB, the Giants, and another crack at Dallas isn't going to be easy. I hope we can get ST back for TB next weekend. Buffalo and Chicago are gimmes now in my book. Minnesota is a big question mark since Taylor did pretty good today for them. That should be a gimme also though.

With the skins, no game is a gimmie. We play good teams close, but we don't blow away bad teams.

The Lions will lose at least three more games (look at their schedule, brutal), the Eagles still face NE, Dallas, NYG and Seatle so count 2 losses. The Cards will probably only lose to the Browns (rest of the schedule is soft though they do play Sea so either they are the div winners or lose out in a tie breaker to Skins). Seattle can't put together two games in a row so count on at least a loss or two. Even if the Giants don't have their typical end of season implosion and find a way to win out, Skins can lose two more and get 6th seed. Not the best way to get to the playoffs, but it puts us on the right track.
9-7 is nothing to brag about, but it's a winning record so...
