Thank you to fans from around the league
The support from fans around the league has been really great and touching.
I just wanted to say thanks on behalf of this site and Redskins fans everywhere. |
Re: Thank you to fans from around the league
Agreed. I've seen many random fans of teams come here to send their condolences. (Except for the Eagles.. But we won't go there)
I'm with Matty and everyone else in saying thanks for those who cared enough to join the site just to post on ST. :grouphug: |
Re: Thank you to fans from around the league
I would also like to say thanks. You guys are all a blessing and I really appreciate you guys coming over and giving your condolences.

Re: Thank you to fans from around the league
I, too thank people for the kind words. I am very suprised on how deep a chord this has struck around the DC area and the skins fanbase. I can't believe my own sorrow I feel...
On that note, has any one else heard if dallas is still trying to wear the 21 stickers tomorrow? If they decide to do that and they act alone, I think it would be awesome when we play them at home this year for someone to start a chant "Thank You, Dallas!" instead of the traditional "We Want Dallas!" its a big if, but it would be a classy gesture, and honestly I'd love to see it. |
Re: Thank you to fans from around the league
I really don't know what to say except I love the Redskins, and ST was a true Redskin. I miss LeVar Arrington, but I thought at least I would always have Number 21.
Sean Taylor was a first-class playmaker, and I'll alway remember the way he recovered the blocked field goal against Dallas and won a game for the Redskins when all seemed lost. |

I thought I heard that all teams were going to wear one this week. |
Re: Thank you to fans from around the league
Our pleasure Mattyk.
I'm glad I chose a great community to express my condolences to. You guys have a heck of a site here. Once again those of us with the Steelers Nation welcome you to our forums for consolation. You have lost a great player, and above all, Citizen and Father. He will be missed by all of us in the NFL community. |

Re: Thank you to fans from around the league
When I told my dad yesterday about how the Cowboys board had switched to burgundy and gold he was really moved, as was I. It's been amazing how this story has touched so many people in so many ways, even those who didn't follow Sean like us, and I'm sure Sean would appreciate the way his tragic death has made so many of us football fans appreciate our own lives and our fellow human beings a whole lot more.

I hadn't heard that the Cowboys board changed their colors to Burgundy and Gold. Wow. Now that's awesome. Hats off to them for a great sentiment. I've gotta say, all of my friends and family have been great. They all know how much I love the Skins, and especially Sean, my favorite player. Even people who don't follow a lick of football have text messaged or emailed me to see how I'm holding up and to let me know they're praying for Sean's family and the Redskins. It really does feel like we've lost a family member. God Bless Sean. |
Re: Thank you to fans from around the league
Seriously.....I am amazed at how much people have reached out over this....its awsome.
RIP Sean |

That's amazing that they would wear a burgundy and gold skin on their message board. They can really sense how much Sean meant to us, and for that I'm deeply appreciative. |

i ,ll say it too ,thanks to everyone else around the NFL.it,s times like these that tells us all that they are thankful to be playing football.
thanks to the fans from the other teams as well means a great deal. we are family afterall. |
Re: Thank you to fans from around the league
The outpouring of love from other players, teams, sites has been overwhelming.
It seems like everytime they interview an NFL player on ESPN, they move the interview to Sean Taylor and the impact of his loss. Big Ben from Pittsburgh had some nice things to say about Sean. |
I'll go there. FUCK the eagles!!!
Iv'e read some messed up shit posted by those bastards in philly. Anyway, yes thank you.
We all know that Philthy fans are classless! I'm a Bucs fan and remember during the '02 NFC Championship game they taunted Joe J. with shit like, "Hey Joe, how's your kid doing?" - shortly after Joe and his wife tragically lost their infant son. I mean come on, how low can you honestly go!?!?! I have no respect for Philthy fans and I don't care who you are or who you root for, that is just horrible! |
Re: Thank you to fans from around the league
I had a flight to L.A. on Tuesday, and wearing a Redskins hoodie to honor Taylor's memory attracted several strangers to express their condolences to me. I made a point to ask each if they were Skins fans, but they were all Raiders or Cowboys fans. I'm really impressed and humbled with other fan response throughout the league.

Re: Thank you to fans from around the league
I am very very flattered (idk if thats the right word) , at the support we've had this week. I'm very shocked that we got this type of outcry and very grateful for it. Thank you to all.
