Class Act
Just wanted to say I thought it was a real nice thing coming out with 10 players on D the first time.:goodjob:
|
Re: Class Act
yeah I was glad they did it too...
|
Re: Class Act
Buffalo should of took a knee the first play...Like terry bradshaw suggested.
|
Re: Class Act
It didn't hit me until a few minutes after they did it that it was intentional. Kind of like a missing man formation you see the military perform in memory of a lost pilot. Very cool indeed.
|
Re: Class Act
It was a nice tribute. Just kinda gay that the Bills run a play and it was a signifcant gain.
|
Re: Class Act
atleast we saw a taylor like hit from landry on that play.
|
Re: Class Act
It was the right thing to do by the skins... but if they bills would have taken a knee, they would have lost a down... and it was still a game... and everyone is trying to make the playoffs.
Overall... I gotta love that the skins did that... Can't think of a more perfect way to honor ST. |

They can't, the NFL can't allow it. |
Re: Class Act
They should have let us come out with 12 men on the second play...just to balance it out.
|
Re: Class Act
I think the 20 yard play was kind of fitting because we all know if Shawn was in it would not be quite as much, if any.
|
Re: Class Act
yeah i was at the game and i was waiting for the first defensive play so i could see this nice way to say goodbye to sean, but after the game i was listening to the postgame show on the radio and joe gibbs said he never new anything about it. How could he not be aware of it?? i was aware of it because of it being discussed on the Warpath.
|
Re: Class Act
The NFL wouldn't allow the bills to take a knee ... BS . It was a classless spiteful act .. Oh my god they would have lost a down. Given the offensive production of Bills in the first half i don't think it would have mattered .

Re: Class Act
Did it anyone else think it was lame that they ran a misdirection counter to the vacated side? I mean, there's already one less guy in the box. Why not just run it up the middle.
Am I overreacting? I thought it was tacky. |

Am I overreacting? I thought it was tacky.
I think it might have been on the RB to turn it outside, maybe not designed that way, I don't know. I couldn't help hating Dick Jaron when he got so pissed off at the second timeout, like Gibbs was really trying to really stick on to him or something. Maybe it's my imagination, but he seemed pretty pissed. Whatever, it's peoples jobs on the line out there so they've got to play, I guess. It's honestly difficult for me to care much about the loss and that's the honest truth. I thought Pete Kendall's comment after the game hit it directly on the head. "Someone said to me earlier, 'Didn't you think you would have a fairy tale ending?' " guard Pete Kendall said. "I said win or lose it was not going to be a fairy tale ending." |
Re: Class Act
Why shouldn't Jaron be pissed off? He knows you can't call two TOs in a row and knows it's a 15 yard penalty. Find me a coach that doesn't get pissed off about that. It's ridiculous to say a coach shouldn't fight for his player depending on the situation. It seems like people feel like the Bills should have rolled over for the mighty skins.

It just made me mad, I didn't say it was justified and I said it might have been his imagination. He was going to get his 15 yards, it just didn't seem like he needed to scowl across the field like that. Maybe it's bad memories from the Denver game. I really think everyone (myself included) is taking everything to do with the Skins far to personally at the moment. I might have to just come back in March around the Combine. All this negativity and general insensitivity is going to wear me out. |

Re: Class Act
I now hate the Bills and their fans. I put them up there with Philly. As I was walking into the stadium I saw a group of five losers chanting "Fuck Taylor", I also heard an unconfirmed report of a Bills fan wearing ketchup on their jeans. Its only fitting that they would try to capitalize on a play where we only had 10 men.
|
Re: Class Act
Thank you Skins. Thanks Joe, and most of all THANK YOU SEAN!! WE LOVE YOU.

If this is true. Who allowed them to walk out of the stadium. I'm not a violent person, but I believe that would have pushed me over the edge. |
Re: Class Act
Please do not compare the Bills fans to their players and organization. The Bills organization is nothing but class. Just because a bunch of drunk ignorant morons decided to harp on the situation does not make it fair to pin it on an entire organization.
And please do not say they capitalized on the first Skins defensive series. It was Gregg Williams decision to parade out 10 to memorialize Sean, and did so without mentioning to anyone but his starters. However, it's hard to believe that Gibbs knew absolutely nothing about it. As far as the run goes, I was in Section 413, Row 29 watching the play develop. It was a simple counter-left, and the entire LB corps bit on the stunt right the Bills line did...the running back saw that he could stretch the field and did. That's on the Skins for not stopping them. Not only that, but from what I saw, Landry's hit was extremely late (RB had made 3 steps OB before he hit him), but since there was a mass of people right at the point of the play, it was hard for either line judge to see what was going on.3 |

they ran the ball, our front seven should have done something about it. they didnt throw it over the middle or try and get a huge pass play. suggesting they take a knee is asking too much . . . besides they bills said they werent aware that the skins were only coming out with 10 players on the D, coach joe didnt know either. |

Then don't lower yourself to their level, the're morons if that's the only way they can act is to miss behave. Look those type of idiots are eveywhere NY,Philly,Buffalo and Wash all teams have them let it go. |
Re: Class Act
I believe it was London Fletcher who said in an interview after the game that they did not come out with 10 players. They came out with 11. Sean was with them for that play. How honorable, how classy, is that?
|
Re: Class Act
Very fitting tribute, but I have no problem at all with the play the Bills ran. Like the Patriots game, it's their job to try to score and our job to stop them, we can't be mad at them when we don't do our job. Their protection was good all day and they opened holes. Our protection sucked and Portis was a non-factor for most of the day.
