Satisfaction Guaranteed?

Just to continue the fake breasts thread...

Serisously though. Of course, in the end we all want to see a victory parade down Constitution Avenue in DC following a Redskins Super Bowl win.

But short of that, how far do the Redskins need to go in order for you to say "You know what? These guys had a pretty good year. I'm pleased with the results. On to next season"

Sarnoism-Just making the playoffs was great

Scudism-We just won a wildcard two years ago, we better do at least that much this time

Irishism-NFC Championship or Bust

Sadenism-I'll be mildly pleased if we make the Super Bowl

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

I am a Sarnoist. A showdown in Dallas in the playoffs would be sick, but this team has my respect all the way this year.

I am happy we made the playoffs but I want a whole lot more, but I picked A. I cant say I expected much after the Buffalo week with all the injuries and ST passing on. Lets hope we suprise some people.

An unequivocal A!!

This is a hard one. While I'm completely happy we made the playoffs, I'll admit I might be slightly irritated if we can't put Seattle away. So I went with Scudism.

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

I know that right away I'd be disappointed if we don't win tomorrow. But upon further reflection, I'd realize that this team could have folded up after losing four straight heartbreakers and then their inconsistent but maturing QB for a proverbial "career back-up" all the while burying their teammate as well.

Still, the past month aside, there are things they probably could have done earlier this season to give them homefield tomorrow or even a bye possibly.

This is tougher than I thought. I'll just say I'm a Scudist

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

I can't believe I just sided with jsarno.

That's twice in the last week already. What the hell is going on?!

I'll always be disappointed with any loss, but I still say it's amazing we're even here.

I'm one Scudistic bastard. I took into consideration my preseason thoughts in which I predicted NFC championship. Considering the tumultuous ride during the regular season, I took the middle road.

at least one more win please.

though another SB title would be nice.

Scudism, I Lost faith as i drove home after being in attendance for the Bills game, i know how good this team really is. And im glad we made it to the playoffs, but......... after seeing what some seattle fans have said in regards to sean taylor, i want dallas.

Im definitely a Scud. I think this team is better than we were 2 years ago, so we at LEAST need to beat the Seahawks tomorrow.

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

I'm a sarnoist solely because of all of the extraneous nonsense we've had to face this year.

rypper11 01-04-2008 10:01 PM

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

I said Scud, but it would depend on how we play tomorrow. If they are flat, give up big plays and play poorly, I am pissed. But, the same would be true if we beat the Seahawks and get hammered by Dallas. If Seattle outplays us in a good game, oh well. Nice season and we'll look towards next.

beau_str 01-04-2008 10:27 PM

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

sarnoism for sure. 1 month ago i was just wanting to see the season end cause i could not see how any teamate could want to play football after losing there best player. no matter what happens tomorrow i am really proud of what the team has done.

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

I voted as a Sarnoist. I'm extremely proud of this team for overcoming so much and getting this far. I'm excited about next season too. If I could vote as somewhere between Sarno and Scud though, I would. While I'm proud of this team for what they've done, over the last four games they have built up an expectation in me because they're peaking at the right time. I expect them to beat Seattle. I'll be disappointed if they don't.

But then I'll step back, take stock of the season, and probably be extremely pleased.

Very well put. You think you might start a Church of Schneed?

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

Granted this team has been through a lot this season and while I am pleased that we made the playoffs I want more. For those not familiar with Sadenism please refer to the following satisfaction chart:

Making the Playoffs: 10%
Beating the Hawks: 20%
Beating Dallas: 75%
Going to the SB: 30%
Winning the SB: 110%

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

That's a tough one, and it depends when the question is asked. Through the first 8 games, I was an Irishist. After the 4 game skid, I was a Sarnoist. After the 4 game win streak, I'm tempted to split the difference and be a Scuddite, but I think I was overly optimistic at the midpoint. I'm going with Sarnoist.

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

Of course, in my heart, I'm always whichever one means "just one more win".

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

I fall more under optimisim, and I think the that future looks brighter and brighter with every passing win. Even if we don't get to the Super Bowl this season I still think that things are falling into place for a great season next year.

The Saunders offense is really starting to click now and the Williams defense is back to form after a brief hiatus last season. Maybe, just maybe we can become a consistent year-in and year-out, formidable force again in the league for the first time since the early 90's!

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

Gotta go a little nuts on this one. I voted A...

I've been repping Schneeds posts lately... and I guess I've got to follow suit. Pretty much everything he said.

There's nothing I want to do more than to send the "We Want Dallas" text to all of my friends. Let's get a win... let's beat Dallas. Let's go to the Superbowl!

If not... it was a hell of a run.

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

LOL great poll

Of course I would be disappointed with a loss... but at the same time for me it's hard to look back on this season and not be proud of what the team accomplished under some very difficult circumstances.

Would 60% of the people here really feel jobbed about this season as a whole if the Skins lose this week?

Just wow.

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

I think we are going to win today, but after the injuries and loss we've had, I am so proud of this team, and so proud to be a fan. As long as we continue to have good effort, this team has nothing to be ashamed of.

We can beat the Seahawks and losing to Dallas in the playoffs is to painful to think about. NFC title game or bust!!

Gmanc711 01-05-2008 11:13 AM

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

Given what has happened, I am extremley pleased just to be in the playoffs. I can always look back at the 2007 season now and be happy. If we lost to Dallas last week, I wouldnt have been able too. Given all that occured I'm extremely proud of the team and to be a Skins fan.

Had the Taylor situation not occured, I'd probaboly view tihs a little differently.

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

I don't want to get bogged down in categories, so I'll just give you my take.

This team is playing much better than any other group in the NFC. If they don't beat themselves I don't believe they will lose. Then, by the time they get to the SB, lots of people will be rooting for them to upset whoever the AFC Champion is. If it's Belichik, then nearly everyone in the country will be on our side. I feel very good about the next month.

Re: Satisfaction Guaranteed?

Well, since I AM Scud, I should probably move to the beat of my own drum here. But believe or not, I voted Sarnoist on this one. Truth be told, I'm sort of on the fence. Probably 40% Scud / 60% Sarno.

Here's my thinking- After all the adversity we've fought through this year, I'm so, so proud of the team. Regardless of what happens today, I will always look back on the '07 Skins with pride. On the other hand, despite injuries and Sean Taylor's death, we are a better football team than Seattle. We're playing better now, we played a much tougher schedule throughout the season, and should win today.

We want Dallas. For #21.

Although I would definitely enjoy a Superbowl Victory, I went with Sarnoism after all that our team has been through this year.

True, I thought about couching it by saying either since preseaon or since Taylor's death. But I figured I'd just let people decide on their own how they wanted to perceive it.

I am disappointed. I felt we could have been a real factor in the playoffs. I think If I felt we had been playing over our heads I'd be happy but I think we under performed today and let a team beat us that we are better than.

Like I said, I'm always disappointed and pissed with a loss, and I probably will be for a few days.

Ask me again in a week when I'm rational and I'll probably be pretty pleased with the season.

I think we underestimated the Seahawks and overestimated some of our guys. I am disappointed because we missed opportunities earlier in the year to have homefield for this game or a bye. Still, all in all not bad

My bigger concern is will we carry our momentum (excluding this game) into next year. Difficult to say since Campbell wasn't part of this run
