Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
I'm confused, there doesn't seem to be any place to sign. Are we just posting our thoughts here and expecting Dan Snyder to sign on and read it??
|
Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
Here is my signature, as a season ticket holder for the past 8 years I would appreciate Mr. Snyder actually respecting the organization Gibbs has built. Gregg Williams has connected with these players. For once do the right thing Mr. Snyder.

Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
Grow up Danny Boy, we all still know who owns the damn team you immature turd quit meddling......
its like being in a 4 lane traffic jam and DANNY BOY is the one who thinks the next lane is going to get there faster, when Gibbs built the team and chose this lane for a reason..... danny just changed lanes every three years because he thinks he knows what hes doing..... who knows how much revenue you will lose from me, but I would like a better outlet to voice my opinions to you directly you little brat |
Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
I will sign anything that will stop Fassel from being a Redskin...

Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
Old joe Ribbs BBQ is rearing his ugly head here, haha good to see you on here.
If this is the petition, here is my signature. Now I don't know shit about hiring a head coach but I do know Fassel is a joke. He got fired by brian billick who just got fired himself. It's like getting beat in dodgeball at the special olympics when you're not even special. What has fassel done to even deserve being considered for such a prestigious position?? Anyway I have gained a lot of respect for Dan after the ST tragedy, I thought he may have turned the corner to becoming a well-liked owner in DC. Now I am not sure how to feel. No official statement has been made, so maybe he will surprise us all and make a decent decision. But to sum it up if fassel is chosen and does not come in and produce right away I am sure he will be run out of town and our organization will be set in another tailspin, similar to the one we just recovered from. (insert ole ball coach joke here) Do the right thing Dan. |
Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
I think we are posting our thoughts here.
Dear Mr. Snyder, Our respect for your wisdom will grow if you choose to keep the system and the coaching personnel that Joe Gibbs has put in place. Firing the staff en masse in a "Saturday Night Massacre" move is a sure way for the team to lose the momentum that it has built up, and I am afraid that the results will reflect very poorly more than anyone on yourself should you do this. Your wise choice of Joe Gibbs as coach and team president has brought about a stabilization of the Redskins and put us on a track for ever greater success, and you have been a fundamental part of this re-orientation of our team, which fans have noticed and appreciated. A choice for the Massacre is going to be seen as a reactionary move designed to re-impose a "Snyder dictatorship." We don't need a dictator-owner. Rather we need one that recognizes that the team has its own life and evolutionary process, and that to let it continue to evolve, instead of cutting out its brain (coaching staff), which is working great, and implanting a new brain, is the path to greater success, fan enjoyment, and esteem for yourself. You are the steward of the team, a team that is really the property of the fans of the Washington Redskins in spirit. The spirit of the Redskins is what makes the team special. Your reputation can be saved if you choose an orderly transition to Gregg Williams as the new head coach of the Washington Redskins, and the retention of the full coaching staff. Choose the role of wise steward, Mr. Snyder, not dictator. Thank you, Oakland Red Redskins Warpath member |

Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
Dear Mr. Snyder
Let's not throw away the last 4 years. Please try and keep this coaching staff together as long as possible for the players and the fans. Thanks |
Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
I don't get it, where is the link for the petition. I'm sure I can get 20 signatures at my office this morning.

Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
Moustapha Halidou signs this petition. Wise Up Danny.

Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
Dear DS (DumbShit)
Sell the team to someone who is capable and understands the game, who doesn't act impulsively or acts irresponsibly. Do us all Redskins fans a favor and sell the team to someone that cares about personnel and the hardcore fan base that you are about to lose. |
LOL yeah this is going to do a lot of good.
I couldnt have said better. Snyder is gonna do what Snyder wants to do. Whether its hiring Fassel or someone else. When the dust settles from all of this there are going to be some that are happy and some calling for Snyder's head. I havent decided which side of the fence i am on yet but if he hires Fassel i know which side its gonna be...the side calling for his head. LOL. Good luck with the petition..it sounds good..... |
Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
In a hope that I dont have to post this on every Fassel thread on the site, I pray everyone sees it here...... not a petition to sign, but voices many fans opinions....

No, but at least if you vote on the WP poll (do you want Fassel), he will definitely see that. here's the link: Washington Redskins (washingtonpost.com) |
Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
I am holding out hope that he takes the opinions of all that have a truely altruistic interest in the progression and unity of the team!
|
Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
I highly doubt he will look at the WP poll or even care if he does. But if it makes you feel better...

I'm sure he reads the WP or least his cronies do. I'm positive he's already got wind that Fassel is not a popular choice amongst fans who buy season tickets, maybe that will make him think about his choice, maybe not. It doesn't hurt to vote. |
Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
All I care about is results. If the Skins don't produce, then I'll be mad. Until then, I don't care if Orville Redenbacher is the head coach, as long as progress is made.
Everyone just assumes the worst with Fassel. Why? He was successful in New York as a head coach, and was the front runner back when Gibbs was hired. In 2006, McNair at that point in the season had a 64.1 QB rating, and a disgruntled Jamal Lewis (no long term deal) didn't do much that year. Fassel took the fall, even though the team was 4-2 at that point, and went on to a 13-3 record playing Ravens style (Great defense, adequate offense). Stability does not always equal positive results. It can be helpful, but doesn't always guarantee you'll get what you are looking for. I'll just bide my time and see who takes over and what direction he takes the team in... |

If he's letting the fan base sway his decision making, we really are in big trouble. |

Agreed 100%. Many people complain Snyder is meddlesome, an idiot, sell the team, blah, blah, blah. Now many of you want him to chart the direction of the franchise based on what the fans want???? We'd be changing coaches after a couple of losses mid-season and eating dead-cap charges left & right if the mob-mentality based fans made these decisions. I'm a little concerned about the impression of the franchise externally to others in the NFL right now, but as long as Snyder makes a solid decision by early next week everything should be fine....deep breath in....slowly exhale...Serenity Now, Serenity Now. |
Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
I don't want to be a hater and I usually try to keep my comments positive, but to paraphrase the immortal schneed, "THIS THREAD IS FUCKING RETARDED." Fans have no say because they are only interested third parties. Period. As matty said, I'd be more concerned about DS if he was listening to this drunken rabble instead of doing his due diligence and conducting as many interviews as possible.

Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
DS is loving all of this attention his team is getting. Good, bad or indifferent.
He will do something to keep the Skins in the paper right thru OTA's. After the hire we will start hearing rumors about trading draft picks and releasing veterans. It's all a big marketing scheme and I'm tired of it. I'm starting to wonder if Joe was asked to step down. |

Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
Dear Danny,
I see your ticking off allot of season tickets holders and many have said they will drop their season tickets. If you go through with this and many do cancel their season tickets will this mean that I will get better seating for next years tickets? If yes, keep up the good work. Thank You, |
Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
Dear Danny,
You're rich and I'm not. Care to buy up another Redskins site? I'll start the bidding at a cool $1M. You can afford it. Hit me up with a PM if you're interested. |
Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
Dear Season ticket holder,
there are currently 100,000 on the season ticket waiting list. I will sincerely miss the 3 of you pissed off enough to leave.............The Dan |

As usual, you are the succinct voice of reason and reality here. :thumb: Anyone who believes that Danny Boy will make his deicision on the new coach based on the contents of this - or any other - petition probably leaves the lights on at night for Jimmy Hoffa. ;) |

Remember the last Washington owner that got bullied by the fans and ended up changing course because of it? He ended up giving Juwan Howard $105M ... That being said, the situation has gotten out of hand it seems and Snyder must accept at least some of the blame for that. |

That being said, the situation has gotten out of hand it seems and Snyder must accept at least some of the blame for that.
The situation is "out of hand" in the eyes of the media and fans, both of which know very little of what is actually going on behind the scenes. We haven't heard a peep from any Redskins official during this process, so until then we only have ourselves to blame for this self induced panic. What did Snyder say when Gibbs stepped down? Something about being patient and going through the process? Sounds like he's doing exactly what he said he was going to do. |

If he truly wants to be patient, then why not wait until after the Superbowl when all coaches are fair game? And I'm not exactly happy with the potential hiring of Fassel, but at this point, I don't care. He's already basically decided it's not going to be Williams, so we'll be dealing with at least another year of rebuilding. |

After all there are rumors he would like to interview Spagnola and McDaniels. |
