Sounds minor |
Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
Is "turning an ankle" code for I'm too tired to handle Zorn's practices?
Smoot sure bounced back from his "turned ankle" pretty darn quickly! We'll see if Portis does the same. |
Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
If I get to be out of commission for two weeks I'd turn an ankle too. The pain, the horror....oh, ah, ouch.

Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
Does anyone remember getting Eric Shelton back in January?

I remember talking about him; Louisville guy, 2nd round pick to Panthers. I can't remember if we picked him up, but it sounds like you're saying we did? He was a beast at L'ville, but broke his leg as I recall. |

Yes, but was a bust with the Panthers. So, it didn't make news. I wonder if they've thought about converting him to FB given his size and Sellers' age. |
Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
or actually, was it Michael Bush that broke his leg at L'ville? I think so. Seems Shelton had some injury that changed him though.

Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
Not really how i wanted to start my day....*sigh*
|
Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
Must be nice to start your day at 1:06pm.
I don't think the injury is career thearting. |
Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
shelton? really? Iwas a fan.
|
Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
Portis just wants to sit in "THE Z SHADES" and take it easy, this will be no problem at all.
|
Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
There are always a ton of "fake" injuries during training camp. I'm not concerned. Even if it is legit, which I doubt, he'll be just fine. No need to panic.

Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
until i hear otherwise i'll just assume he didn't feel like practicing.
|
Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
It's nothing. Just another way to get time off.
|
Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
Trust me, he just wants to sit in the Z SHADES and chill, he has been here all offseason working out, and now all of a sudden he's hurt, please... he will be back in practice by the end of the week

Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
Does this get him out of the HOF Game?
J-Dawg |
Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
He was back at practice this afternoon, from what I understand
|
Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
That is correct, the morning showers probally made him feel a lot better. As long as we don't see these kind of moves during the season, no big deal
|
Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
I'd have no problem with holding him out of most if not all of the preseason.
|
Re: RI: Portis turns an ankle
he is definitely out for the hall of fame game. and i think they would probably use the star treatment in pre season. with little or no playing time

Yes I agree wholeheartedly. Our passing offense is all new. It stands to reason that part of the offense is more likely to struggle than the rushing component. And Portis IS the rushing component. Wrap him in bubble wrap and put him on the shelf. |
