Thank You to all who attended HOF
I watched the whole induction from home and was sad that I couldn't make it. I just wanted to say to all who attended, you guys represented the Redskins and showed everybody that we are best fans in the NFL. What a great standing ovation for Art Monk, AWESOME!!!
What a great day, I can die now with a smile on my face having watched the classiest players in Monk and Green, coach Thomas, etc. Art Monk proved he is the greatest Redskin player ever, what a speech. Thank you all!!! |
Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF

Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF
How proud I am to be a Redskins fan today!!!
I want to say more.....but it would pale in comparison to what I just expreienced. What a great day for Art and Darrell and all Redskins fans around the world. I say retire #'s 28 and 81 TODAY!!! |
Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF

Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF
Thank you so much guys, way to represent the rest of us!
I tell ya, watching the HOF induction ceremony at home, this was one of the happiest moments of my life. Thank you to all of you who stood and clapped for 3+ minutes for Art Monk, that truly shows just how much we appreciate him. Someday I'm going to make the pilgrimage to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. |
Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF
A HUGE thanks to all who made the journey to Canton! You did us proud!
|
Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF
A proud day for all skins fans! Way to step up, y'all!!!
Green and Monk prove that nice guys CAN finish first. I remember once when Charles Barkley said he wasn't a role model. That's fine, Sir Charles. We've got Green and Monk. Great skins AND great men. |
Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF
oh yes thanks to all that attended. it was a sea of burgundy and gold. made me so fricking proud to be a skins fan. the ovation Art Monk received.....priceless..hail skins fans

Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF
Did you guys see when Gibbs, Art and Darrell sat with Mooch and Michael Irvin and the NFL network commentator? Our fan base group was behind them singing "Hail To The Redskins" over and over. It was great!! Biggest standing ovation in HOF history for Art, That's what I wanted and the best part is that it will always be remembered. The speeches by all 6 members and specially the sons presenting their dads was just AWESOME!!
I will never forget this day. |
Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF
Did anyone else notice that douche bag Michael Irvin was the only one (other than this years class) wearing his yellow jacket? Maybe he didn't get the memo.
|
Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF

He was the only one wearing sunglasses at 10pm. Something about people wearing sunglasses at night just pisses me off, especially when its crackheads from Dallas. |

totally agree. indoors, too. unless you have those magic lenses that change themselves. then it's ok; they take a few minutes to adjust. HTTR and mad love for 81 and 28 |
Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF
I was watching the induction on the NFL network. It was 2-3 AM in Paris, but it definitely worth it!
Thank you for all the Redskins fans over there to represent those who could be in Canton. You did it well ! Hail to the Redskins ! Hail to Art and Darrell! Hail to the Redskins Nation ! |
Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF
You know, I'm a little surprised at all the continuous hate for Michael Irvin. I know he's an ex-Cowchip and all. And certainly he's battled his own personal demons, like all of us have, but come on ... can't we for one day suspend all the vitriol for the guy? He's had some great things to say about Monk and Green.
All this hate isn't good for anybody. |

Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF
When Renfro was introduced, he got a chorus of good natured boos, laughed and acted surprised and the crowd responded with laughter back.
As for Irvin, I think there is a lot of anger that he got in before Monk. |
Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF
Let's get Chris Hanburger into the Hall of Fame! Now that Art Monk has been inducted, Redskins fans need to focus their attention and energy on the next most qualified Redskin for the Hall of Fame. That player is NOT Russ Grimm, Joe Jacoby, Gary Clark, Larry Brown, Jerry Smith or Pat Fischer. I love all those players, but the player most qualified for induction is Chris Hanburger! Nine-time Pro Bowler. Four-time All Pro. 1972 NFC Defensive Player of the Year on the Redskins first Super Bowl team. Handpicked by George Allen to call defensive signals for one of the best defenses in the NFL during the 1970's. Let's not forget those last two facts! Everyone mentions the Pro Bowl number (9), but most people forget that he was NFC Defensive Player of the year in 1972 and George Allen's defensive signal caller for 5 years! The NFL Network recently ran an NFL Films special on the 10 best players not in the Hall of Fame. The 10 players they picked were Ken Anderson, Steve Tasker, Alex Karras, Ricky Watters, Ken Stabler, Bob Hayes, Jim Marshall, Chris Carter, Derrick Thomas and Jerry Kramer. Most of those players (except Tasker and Watters) should probably be in the Hall of Fame, but Chris Hanburger is more qualified than anyone on that list except Chris Carter, and none of them has as many combined Pro Bowl and All-Pro selections (13) as Hanburger. Of all the former NFL players who are eligible to be selected by the Veterans Committee, Chris Hanburger is by far the strongest candidate in the field! Let's put an end to this gross oversight and get Chris Hanburger inducted!

Re: Thank You to all who attended HOF
It truly was a tear-jerking, awe inspiring ceremony. Thanks to all who went, I am pissed I didn't make it but you guys represented the class of our organization to the fullest. Anyone know where to get a dvd of the ceremony?
