Marshall over Mitchell?? no way

I agree with Ill. I am much more impressed by Mitchell than Marshall, but thats just me. No one else really stands out to me though.

mitchell? really? none of those others are a suprise at all...

Kinda makes sense when you think about it, Williams likes speed at the LB spot and speed isn't exactly Mitchell's game.

yeah, i'd like to see the complete list though, there's 8-16 more people leaving...

Mitchell's 33, guess they felt they had enough 'experience' at middle LB (read over 30). thats why they moved Pierce and been trying him at middle this whole preseason.

Mitchell may be slow, but he knows where he's got to be. Marshall i seen lost on the field.

Mitchell will be a great pickup for someone, I hate to see him go. Same with Scott Cloman.

I watched Mitchell on a few play's against the Ram's, he didn't look that good, he failed to fill a couple of holes when he had an opportunity to do so, 1 of which resulted in a big off tackle run by Jackson, Pierce has clearly out played him, no doubt, I just didn't think pierce could man the middle, but he came threw with flying color's, I suspect William's want's the younger faster LB's for backup's, the rest of the list seem's right on par.

Mitchell and Clemons.....that will be a let down I could see both of them doing good things.

I'm a little surprised by Clemons, but Mitchell doesn't really surprise me. He looked so damn slow last game. Hopefully this means that Khary Campbell make the team. He's impressed me alot.

I'm surprised about Clemons but I also am sorry to see Mithchell to go but he's had a pretty good run with us. I'm still puzzled about Ade Jimoh. Maybe their thinking keep Jimoh over Bauman? Not. Gari Scott and Taylor Jacobs still have life. Hopefully Thrash stays.

Don't fret guys, there's still more coming. I'm sure we'll get our wish with Ade.

My predictions are Ade Jimoh, Rudolph Brown, Rock Cartwright, Mike Sellers, Sultan McCollough, Pita Elisara for right now.

maybe johnathan brewer, dameane douglas, sean dillard, scott cloman, cliff russell, jafar williams, and john standeford... thats six right there, and that's only WRs... there's a lot of names on that roster that no one in washington has even heard of... scott, simon, rock, and betts will all make the first cut i believe...

man DONT DO THAT. had me thinkin they cut Coles!

They had two positions open. Some people have to go. Take your pick: Betts, Simon, McCollough, Cartwright or Sellers. Chad Morton is here.

I think we take a bigger cap hit if we cut bowen than if we put him on the bench. Could be wrong.

Don't sweat that one!! Thrash is nowhere near the bubble. Right now he is #3 on the depth chart at WR. He would have to drop to #6 to be gone on the NEXT cutdown. There will only be 14 cuts this time, according to and earlier report.

We have no depth at that position. Andre Lott and Todd Franz. We already let Ohalete go.

When I look at it this looks good. Coles, Gardner, Thrash, McCants,Scott, Jacobs.

thats down to 73 at worst case, then you can cut 2-3 more LBs (we have 11, probably will keep 6-7 at most), 1-2 O-linemen (though they might keep EVERYONE seeing how things have gone), kimrin, stempke, hamdan, mcollough, 2 TEs, and THEN it gets hard... (hamdan and the kickers can all PS i believe though)

that gets you to roughly 61-64 players...

Why hasn't Hamdan gotten any snaps? What's up with that? We send him to Europe and he doesn't play well to make a preseason? Oh well.

oops, miscounted, its 92 on the roster, -1 for iffy, -1 for jansen = 90... so 70 at worst case above, and it gets you roughly to 58-61 players...

Where's Kozlowski and Cooley in the mix? We should at least seen them as blockers. In fact were Rasby, Royal, Baxter? Hmmm, I think Gibbs is keeping the lid on the TEs'.

they got 7 TEs right now (including mike sellers, who's listed as a FB)... guess 2-3 end up off the roster... leonard stephens, and probably 2 between robert royal, fred baxter, and mike sellers (judging from what i've seen only)...

Everybody keeps worry about the cap hit for dead money. I got news here that in 2 - 3 years expect alot of dead money. In some cases it might be better to let a vetran go who will cost us cap space in the next 2 years to get ready for the annual Snyder Spring fest of signing big contracts. Expect some big names to go this year. Some possibles could be Morton, Jacobs, Bowen, and Walt Harris. I think Lavar is safe.

dang, i missed micheal hall... make that 57-60 total then ;) that'd be for final roster, PS would be composed of 8 guys that'd be cut from the final headcount.

As if there isn't enough competion at H-Back, they were running Trash out of the backfield a lot in the first quarter. I don't think Gibbs isn't happy with the H-Backs (Cooley,Kozlowski...) but I do think that he wanted to work on something without totally tipping his hat to Tampa. Thrash will be here but in a more physical role than the typical wideout. If Ade is still around tomorrow I will have to think that he has some dirt on Snyder... He should be on the first bus out of town. How 'bout Betts? Anyone still think he has a shot?

I see Morton getting traded along with Bowen. Morton hasn't done well to get us good yardage on returns at all.
