Re: Around the NFL week 2
well,BRANDON LLOYD finally scored a td,but it was on a blocked punt.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 2
Not much scoring around the league so far today, kinda weird
|
Re: Around the NFL week 2
looks like defenes all over the league were stingy this week.

You must have meant "yet". Green Bay scored 48 point, and NY scored 41. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
Huge day by mcfadden. 164 yards on 21 carries and a td.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 2
Are any of you watching the SD / Denver game??? Holy cow what a fun game to watch!
|
Re: Around the NFL week 2
cinncy is in for a long year... lewis is gone, that ownership just flat out sucks, they have zero run game (just like the lions)... what a mess.
NE/NYJ game was unwatchable when i turned it on. just ugly... you gotta figure, without tom brady and merriman, and with manning hurt, the NFC east is pretty much where it's at now. NYG slaughtered the rams, which was expected, just like i expected our win today - NFC east is physical and none of the teams here are pushovers, so if you don't like getting hit, the game's gonna be rough. same reason we destroyed the rams/sf last time we played them, and we beat the saint last time too. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
That SD/Den game was BS! If i was a SD fan i would be livid at that horrible CALL!
|
Re: Around the NFL week 2
A lot of great games today specially in the morning
Buf vs Jax great game excellent defensive shown by buffalo won in the final seconds NYG vs Stl crazy scoring game stl sucks the only Td was a lucky play by horn freakish play watch the highlights. Min vs Ind great domination game for 3 qts by Minnesota keep manning on the ground the whole day but couldn't take advantage on it just got FG's all days and the colts came back to win it. GB vs Det this game had everything an early big lead by GB then they lost the lead in the 4th with a great run by Det but took it back with a force scoring 24 points in like 5 minutes awesome game. N.O vs Was offensive show like I said a lot of back and forward N.O dominated almost the whole game, lost the lead, took it back, lost it again to take it back and lost it and never took it back with 3 minutes left great exiting game. Sea vs SF I expected a boring low scoring game turn out to be completely different good game if you think about the teams playing. SD vs Den maaaan a game definitely on NFL replay WOW it had everything Den took an early lead and dominated the first half SD dominated the second and took a 7 point lead with 3 minutes Den had second and goal on the 3 and fumbled when the ball slipped from the hands of Cutler game over but NOOOO controversial call the referee call the play an incomplete forward pass not reviewable, Denver gets the ball ball and scores not only that decided to go for 3 and not risk a OT made it and won the game WOOOOW. |

Very true...but the rules are specific in that scenario. The ref just blew the call. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
oh yeah, matt ryan didn't look like an all star, but aaron rodgers did... we'll see if he can keep that up vs a real team.

Sure did. I knew Matt Ryan wouldn't...he doesn't have the team yet. I pointed out that last week they ran 42 times to only 13 passes...that's why he "looked good", this week was a totally different story. He should be good some day, but right now, he will need to go through a lot of growing pains...I mean, even with Turner, it's still Atlanta. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
mike shannahan must have the biggest set in the nfl's coaching ranks.what a gutsy call going for 2 to win.

I wonder how he would have been persecuted if they didn't get the 2???? |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
SD got screwed. Awful call on the non-fumble.

He must have seen something when Royal caught the td, because they came back to the exact same route on the two point conversion. On the TD he turned around the DE dropping in coverage, on the 2pt try he turned around the safety. Great game. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
the referees absolutely screwed the chargers. that was a bs call the play before denver scored at the end. and can you believe brandon lloyds performance today?

SD got totally F'd |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
Amazing that it was Hochuli's crew too. He's usually one of the best around. Sucks for SD. Especially in a road division game that sent one team to 2-0 and the other to 0-2. Massively bad call for the Chargers. I say it's karma for Philip Rivers acting like the most cocky, mouthy asshole on the planet in the playoffs last year.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 2
Whenever a team gets F'ed, Mike Shanahan seems to be somewhere around it.
The Chargers are perhaps the best offense in the NFL right now. But that defense is really hurting now, and it may prevent them from winning the division. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
I took Cutler in the 4th round and Rogers in the 7th of my draft and wow have they turned out big for me.

my starting qb is killing me....what the hell is wrong with carson palmer thus far this season...in two weeks in my league i have gotten a total of 8 points out of him. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
Unbelievable day for Brandon Marshall yesterday. When's the last time someone had 18 catches in a single game.
Kurt Warner looking good as well |

Re: Around the NFL week 2
Cutlers been good. He seems to be ready to take his game and fame to the next level, same can be said of aaron rogers. I dont know whatsup with carson palmer...that team is just falling apart. I can only hope JC continues to progress!

the bengals are beginning to become the bungles again.remember that article in SI where marvin lewis talked of getting rid of chris henry?then the next week, they go ought and resign him.looks like marvin has lost all respect among the players, and that's never good. |

Re: Around the NFL week 2
The Raiders may be looking for a new coach despite winning. Al Davis pulled a line from the Obama playbook "Lane Kiffin is not the coach I hired".
The Raiders are better than the Rams (WORST in NFL), Chiefs, Bengals, Lions and possibly the Dolphins and Falcons. No need to panic after 2 weeks. Sure they'd bad but this is a screwy move by Al Davis. I guess we shouldn't be surprised. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
Al Davis has completely lost his mind.

I was thanking God that wasn't the Skins. I hope they can file some kind of complaint or something.... |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
Jay Cutler is really impressive. Yes, SD got screwed, but Cutler played great. The last 2 throws he made were big time. Some QB's just seem like they want the ball and know they are going to win. It's early but Cutler seems to have "it."

they can, and the nfl will pull ref hoc from norv's games for the next 4 years, but at the end of the day/season/century, SD will still have a loss for this game. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
That sucked for SD, but it couldn't have happened to a nicer coach. LOL @ Norv, why does he always find himself on the short end of these situations? Because he's a loser, that's why.

Maybe this tells you our players were the big difference in our wins over the past three years and not their coaching..obviously..lol (sarcsam--maybe not) |
