Team dominate the way they did them yesterday."
did you guys just hear that?and then a bit earlier steve young said basically,
" we won't know if this redskins team is really any good until the next couple of weeks."
WTF do you have to do to get any respect at all in the nfl?i never thought i would ever see troy aikman and keyshaun johnson take up and defend washington.if emmitt is at any redskins games this season, you guys throw fresh fruit at him or something!there is no reason at all he should ever say that.

Re: Emmitt Smith:"cowboys should never let this redskins"

emmitt is an idiot and a terrible broadcaster that can't speak well.

but yeah, we already called that a win would just lower the cowboys for a lot of commentators, who once again would find a way not to admit the skins are any good.

no need to waste time with them.

Re: Emmitt Smith:"cowboys should never let this redskins"

Dude I'm right there with ya on this one. Its ridiculous but the media has never liked the Redskins so why would they start now? Although Kornheiser did say we are a 12 win football team on PTI today which I was happy about but besides that we have received noo love.

Re: Emmitt Smith:"cowboys should never let this redskins"

Emmitt Smith is still a Cowboy (ugh) so he doesn't like the Redskins. Steve Young probably was one of many who picked Dallas as the best team in the NFL, and he hates to be wrong. Our own John Riggins picked the Cowboys to win, but Sonny Jurgensen picked the Redskins. Riggins and Young didn't figure in the "Zorn Factor!"

Smith has a single digit I.Q., and can't even put a sentence together. He's a joke, typical cowpuke!

Re: Emmitt Smith:"cowboys should never let this redskins"

ESPN loves thier Cowboys. I still do not really know why he has a job as an analyst. I'm sorry, but you are no longer a Cowboy. Sorry Emmit that's the way it is. You are a journalist now. Act like one. The Cowboys got beat up from the word go yesterday. The skins brought passion, skill players, great coaching, and yes a pretty damn good training staff. Deal with it. Even Troy A. had enough guts to say that we outplayed and coached the Cowboys. He remembered what his job is now, and maybe he wants to keep it.

What's the difference? The Skins played a helluva game yesterday, why do you care who says what? They showed me, you, and whoever was watching that they are a major factor in our division. When Dallas beat Green Bay and Philly, I heard "certain" fans try to spin it to saying the only reasons why

beat them, but it didn't matter. The Boys' showed what they can do, just like the Skins showed what they could do. It is what it is.

i guess if emmitt smith, steve young and all the other jock announcers can't see past their hate of the redskins, well emmitt and irvin,i'll always hate you in anything because you are both a couple of basic idiots.i would just love to see them give the skins credit for winning and not to dallas for losing.personally i think they are both liars, one's born and the other is convicted.

Aikman is one of the most fair analysts on TV. He calls it how he sees it regardless of team or personal affiliation with players. I really enjoy hearing him during games. I'm not a big Joe Buck fan, but I do like Aikman.

Well, I don't think it's outrageous to suggest that a team considered to be the best in the league should not allow their oldest rival to dominate them at home.

I can't stand Dallas, but Aikman is one of my favorite commentators. He's pretty fair, football smart, and good at breaking down plays.

Best of all, he NEVER harps on his prior glory days as a player, even though he was one of the best QBs of his time.

The only problem I had with Aikman yesterday was that he called Betts a great blocker. Yeah...not so much.

Emmitt is...man he is tough to watch. I like Keyshawn a lot. I didn't think I would, but I really do.

Emmitt's comment shouldn't suprise anyone, even when he had passed his prime he wouldn't stop, he didn't know when to quit then, and now he dosen't know when to give credit clueless and i don't care what dancing with the stars say he can't dance for sh%t.

Emmitt as a broadcaster reminds of when Eric Dickerson was doing the sideline on MNF. I just always wonderered who the hell gave that guy that job. Was there even an audition involved or did they just slap him on the sideline and hope his name would carry him through?

Key has grown on me I hate to admit.

Which line did Emmitt use in his "audition" that got him the job?

Was it- "They need to come out sharp as a whistle..."

Or was it- "If they ain't careful they gonna get blowed out"

Don't get me wrong, Emmitt was one of the all time great Gators, so I respect him for that, but he is borderline Forrest Gump...

And that is one of the things that makes him so good. Aikman has always been articulate and objective as a broadcaster..... which is really to his credit when you consider Lavar almost knocked his brains out.

I remember Dickerson as probably the biggest train wreck of any broadcaster ever! My Dad and I used to look at each other after a Dickerson interview and ask if either one could understand a word he said. My old man said next time they should hire someone who spoke english. LOL!

Re: Emmitt Smith:"cowboys should never let this redskins"

I agree with everyone about the idiocy of Smith's comments and his general level of brain activity... but overall I love how the commentators don't give us any credit. Hell yeah, I said it. IMO it makes for the perfect dynamic in the organization: Zorn doesn't give a shit what they think, our players keep a great big chip on their shoulder (I think we'll see this grow in the months ahead) which is a big motivator, and Vinny and the FO can't sit back on their laurels like they might otherwise.

Great point Goat, the longer we play with a chip on our shoulder the better. I hope to fly under the radar as long as possible. If we can come off with a win or two by another team looking past us, so be it. We can use all the help we can get playing in the NFC Beast.

Yeah. I don't always agree with some of the things he says but heis pretty straight and doesn't say stupid stuff. I do dislike Buck for some reason. He comes off a little too superior i think. He's not old enough to do that yet.

Yeah Aikman isn't a homer and an overall class act. He calls it as he sees it. It is not like Herbstreit with OSU, or Bob Griese being biased when his son was at U of M. Nobody has ever been biased like Brent Musburger. OMG, that guy picks a team and just sucks up to them all game/season long.

It is perfect since it means we are still under the radar a bit. I think YOung is waiting for us to tangle with Philly next weekend to jump on the bandwagon. That is going to be a great game!!!!!!! Philly is very hard to win at, and they must be pissed losing Sunday night. No let ups and I think we come away with a W. Thing is we have that bad habit of losing after Dallas week. THat is one jinx I hope we can rid ourselves of.

Re: Emmitt Smith:"cowboys should never let this redskins"

Emmitt is horrible and I could really care about what he spews. Steve Young is right though...the next couple weeks could show how good our team is. If we lose two in a row...then, maybe we're not that good. Win 3 out of 4....maybe.

Troy Aikman is a very good analyst. He calls it down the middle. I can't stand to listen to Moose Johnston for some reason. He just annoys me.

People get all worked up about who sais what. If we win games the skins will get the pub they deserve. We're only 4 games into the season.

The longer Dallas keeps getting overhyped too, the better. They're a very good team for sure, but they have weaknesses just like everyone else. But way too many "experts", "analysts", etc keep talking about Dallas like they've, you know, actually DONE something to warrant all the praise.

How long has it been since they've won a playoff game? 10 years? 12? Yet you'd think these guys have won multiple championships the way they get talked about by the media and fans.

Meh, they don't impress me. The Skins have won what, five of seven from them now?
