The article included with the rankings cites defense being a big reason for the top three sitting where they are, and then they tun around and say the Redskins D is suspect and that it better improve to stay ranked so high.

I just don't get how anyone with football knowledge could make that statement. The past three weekends our D stifled three high octane offenses, and week one we played the Giants whose offense is capable of putting up big numbers too.

The skins are finally getting credit, but it seems to me that the sports media has begrudgingly ranked the redskins so high, and are digging for reasons why they're a fluke.

You guy's make me laugh. You put down all these media people but are very fast at posting their stuff when they give us good rankings.

hell,i never pay any attention to any of those power rankings bullshit! you can through it all out the window when the games starts and nothing good can come out of it.

WOW! Kind of scary to be ranked so high. It is a long way to fall down. =( Even if we lose this weekend we are in awesome shape. This game if it is a win is icing to me.

You can tell it makes him sick. All his other top 5 teams get a paragraph. We get a one sentence backhanded compliment- "After opening night I thought there'd be a better chance this team would be ranked 32nd than 4th by the end of September."

Yeah, it was pretty funny on NFL Live today. They did their little video clip highlight of the NFL for the month of September, and they barely showed a bit of the Redskins (Santana's long TD against NO was it), all the while showing a bunch of Cowboys clips, TO's tds, etc etc. Not even a blip of Sunday's game either, which most "experts" are calling the signature win of the season for the entire league so far. Sigh.

I said it once and I'll say it again, the media's love affair with Cowboys is so pathetic. It's the almighty dollar. TO/Pacman drama and Romo/Jessica sells.

Sometimes teams have games like that when you come up against a good team that comes ready to play and you don't. It happens but they are unlikely to play that bad on defense again, especially Newman. They are 3-1, just like your team so where should they be ranked then? Now, when answering this question remember the strength of schedule these two teams played.

Hey that's how we want it to be! If we beat the Eagles... well even if we don't win, we're still going to be favorites in the next 3 games after Philly.

In the last 3 weeks, 4/24 total picks made for Washington's games were in favor of Washington. Who cares if anyone picks us to win? I'd rather all the [I]experts[/I] look stupid than have them jump on the bandwagon.

And screw that Wickersham guy, he'll be the only one to pick the Rams against us, I'm sure of it.

All of these guys are paid to win. How many times have we seen teams that are supposed to be blown out either play it to the last minute or just win in a upset altogether.

I've learned not to overlook any NFL team anymore, years ago. Games can be difficult for you too when you are a target with that SB Champ label on your back.

Everybody wants a piece of the Champ.
