Skins vs. Browns
In the words of Tim Ryan, Skins vs. Browns, "talk about it".
I know everyone is probably leery of the Browns coming off that big Monday Night win. They finally showed what made them a surprise team last year. They showed up for one game though, I need to see a little more before I'm afraid to play these guys. I think coming off a big emotional win with a short week to prepare for an away game, equals letdown for the Browns. The Skins will get back on track after a disappointing loss to the Rams where they seemed to have been drinking too much of their own kool-aid. Not this week: Redskins 27 Browns 17 |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
Skins 30
Browns 17 ************************************************ Portis shows out to the tune of 174 yards and 2 touches. |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
I think the Redskins were embarrassed by their showing vs. the Rams and will come out with the intensity we'd seen the previous 2 weeks. Cleveland is in for a beat down this week, 34-17 Redskins.

Re: Skins vs. Browns
The Browns will have a let down and the Skins will be fired-up and focused.
Skins 27 Browns 14 |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
TO HELL with the new and improved bad ass Browns BS. They got lucky and caught the Giants full of themselves and looking ahead!
Skins 31 bad ass 17 |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
skins 37
brownies 17 Kelly will get a touchdown portis 154 2 touchdowns |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
Skins by 14.

Re: Skins vs. Browns
I think the Skins need a sense of urgency this week. When I say that I mean now is the time to create some distance between themselves and the Cowboys while they're hurting. With that said, I think Zorn has them ready to man-handle the Browns. A heavy dose of Portis and a dash of Moss provide the right mix and the Skins win this one big.
Skins 37 Browns 13 HAIL!! |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
Skins will be fired up after getting embarrassed.
Skins 36 Browns 17 |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
I'm trying not to be very afraid... We better come out with guns blazing and never give up. This is going to be a hard fight to win this game!
|
Re: Skins vs. Browns
Skins win 34-13 on a breakout game from devin thomas to include a punt return for a td
|
Re: Skins vs. Browns
idk know man, the browns are supposed to have a really good pass defense . . if we play another sloppy game and dont protect the ball we could be in for another close game but . . .
this time shazaam (i think im the only one calling him this anymore, even CP calls him suisham now) gets a chance to nail a last minute field goal for the win!! im not big on posting stats but the browns pass D does have some nice numbers to consider. go skins!! |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
People were saying the same crap last week. Cleveland has some very good skill guys, a decent o-line and a streaky QB. You could argue that Anderson, Edwards, Winslow and Lewis are just as good or better than JC, Moss, Cooley and Portis. They are very very capable of coming in here and beating us if we don't play well. With that being said, they're coming off a big win and a short week, their defense seems to be pretty weak so if we don't turn it over we should beat these guys. This is a must win game.
|
Re: Skins vs. Browns
If the O-line plays well, we cruise. If not, we have another crappy looking game. When Campbell isn't getting mauled I think we can beat anybody, unfortunately the line is not very consistent and until it is, it's hard to project a win or loss. I wanna be sure who is starting on the o-line before I give my score. I think we'll win because of our "D". The quality of the win depends on the o-line and turnovers.
|
Re: Skins vs. Browns
Man up Rogers on Edwards and stack the line to take away Jamal Lewis (very similar to what they did last week vs. the Rams with Holt and Jackson).
Skins D dominates another week, offense doesn't turn the ball over... Skins 28 Browns 13 |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
I do think it will be a higher scoring game by our standards. But I by no means am feeling a blow out! I mean c'mon every one of our games this year has been decided by 7pts or less.
Skins 33 Ugly Uniforms 27 |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
The Redskins come out with something to prove ... and jump out early. The Browns hit a few plays early, and hang with us. In the 2nd half, the 'Skins take control and pull away.
Redskins 34 Browns 24 |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
i ain't gonna even make a prediction, but i think the skins will win.

I agree if the O-line plays real well we cruise to victory. But I gotta say the O-line being healthy and playing well is probly the biggest reason we're successful this year. Portis leads in rushing Campbell has'nt been sacked that much some of which were him holding the ball too long, And going 4 wide last wk. I think it's been the strength of the offense. |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
Santana Moss will finally open up.
Him and JC will connect, along with 6 other receivers. Skins 35 Browns 17 |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
The Redskins need to continue to play their type of game. On defense, stop the run and limit the big passing plays. Keeping Braylon Edwards, Jamal Lewis and Kellen Winslow Jr. under control is a priority. On offense, they need to score touchdowns and keep the turnovers to a minimum. A heavy dose of Clinton Portis with an efficient passing attack should be good enough. No drama this week.

Re: Skins vs. Browns
4-1 when I don't make a prediction.
All I'm gonna say is a pissed off team is a dangerous team |

I take a different look at it. I credit a lot of the success to Campbell getting rid of the ball a lot more quickly, scrambling for first downs, checking down on his receivers quickly and running up into the pocket when he gets pressure. And there has been a lot of pressure. Rabach has'nt played that well, Jansen has trouble with the pass rush, and Randy Thomas does'nt seem his usual self. The left side has done a pretty good job and Portis has been awesome with his blocking. |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
I can't wait for this one. I don't think this is going to be too close for some reason. Look for the skins to win 7+ pts.
We should be ready to go and upset that we kicked the Rams all around the field yet managed to lose the game. |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
They just better take their heads out of their @$$es and f'ing win this one. The Redskins have to prove that the game against the Rams was a fluke.
|
Re: Skins vs. Browns
I'd like to see Shawn Springs covering Braylon Edwards. Have to hope Springs doesn't get injured in the process, since you never know with him.
|
Re: Skins vs. Browns
Went with my head last week and said 42-0 :(.
This week a typical Skins game; Skins 23 -3 short fg's with Red Zone issues, 2 good scoring drives late in the game) Browns 16 - Campbell throws his first pick 6 mid 1st quarter, and the D holds the rest of the game |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
I get bad vibes when everyone picks the skins to win...

Re: Skins vs. Browns
The broadcasters called it perfectly last week, "You need to come out and pounce on an inferior opponent". You let teams like the Rams, or Browns, stick close in games, they gain confidence and feel that they have a chance to be on the winning end. You got to come out and bully these guys around, hit um in the mouth.
With that said, 1st play from scrimmage is a play action deep post to Moss which he catches and goes the distance. You need to start out with something big like this to back this decent front 7 off, further creating room for some good running yards. I say go deep early, even if you miss on 1 or 2 you back these defenders off and scar them a tad. Redskins: 24 Brown Turds: 13 GO SKNS! |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
Redskins 45
Browns 10 Portis goes for 183 and 3 TDs One of our rookie WRs catches their first TD |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
Redskins 24
Brown 20 Another close one. But a Skins W is all that counts. |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
all i,m going to say with this game on sunday is that we need to rebound from our letdown from a week ago...we need to respond with authority..re establish our territory sort to speak..
so who am i going to pick ..........no one but my hearts with the home team. go skins.. no score this time around.. |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
No int for Campbell.
4 Redskins sacks in a dominating defensive performance. 105 yrds for Portis - 0 TDs 225 pass yards for JC - 1 TD 15 rush yrds and 65 pass yards for #35 - 1 TD 42.4 punt avg. Redskins win 20-9 |

How many people here do you think are actually going to post a prediction of a Redskins loss?? I mean whats the point?? You should feel free to post a Cleveland winning score if that will make you feel better though. :tongue |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
My heart says that we jump on them early and often for a double digit win, but my head says that the Browns have a great O-line and excellent skill position players that will keep the game close:
Redskins 24 Browns 23 Cooley will have 80 yards receiving and a TD. Portis will rush for 100 and 2 TDs |
I'd like to see Shawn Springs covering Braylon Edwards. Have to hope Springs doesn't get injured in the process, since you never know with him.
I think rogers will be a better cover guy against Edwards. Rogers has shut down some big name guys so far this season. Skins need to step it up this weekend. I would like to see more shots down the field sunday. HTTR |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
The strength of the Browns D is the 2 big "fatties" in middle. Shaun Rogers is big and good but he tires easily (fat Fuck) if we can keep their D on the field for a good amount of time, then we pound the ball relentlessly. On offense, Edwards, Stallworth and Jamal Lewis are pretty good and even if Winslow doesn't play Heiden and Dinkins are solid backups. Our D needs to pressure them, no easy task as that OL is pretty solid. Also keep an eye on Cribbs on the wildcat formation.

Re: Skins vs. Browns
Didn't the Browns just beat the shit out of the Giants last week?
Skins will beat the Browns, but it won't be easy. Skins - 24 Browns - 20 |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
Redskins 45
Browns 10 Portis goes for 183 and 3 TDs One of our rookie WRs catches their first TD
Every week you pick the Skins to completely bend over the other team. I dunno what you're on, but I want some of it. :) |
Re: Skins vs. Browns
38-24 'skins
Cooley 1TD Portis 2 TD (150 yds) Moss 2 TD Suisham 1 FG Not a simple set of match-ups, but the Redskins will prevail over the Browns in a very exciting game. |
