Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
Anyone else see Zorn go nutso on a reporter (1 min and 50 sec into the video)? I first thought he was joking around but the dude definitely went kookoo momentarily.

Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
I wonder if the reporter was La Canfora. It almost looked like Zorn was about step away from the podium and confront the guy, lol. I love it!
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
Damn that's hilarious.

Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
F'ing great, I too am getting ticked off at these stupid questions
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
I would've liked to have been able to hear the stupid question that set him off.
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
and what about mike singletary. I really like how that coach lays down the law and is just as passionate in his press conferences.

Yeah, it would be nice to see the whole post-game press conference. |
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
guy's that is great!! Fire and passion I love it. 6-2 gotta love it.

I agree. That was awesome stuff. Apparently Vernon Davis is a punk ass. |
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
Zorn tells the reporter he's getting ticked-off than asks him if he's okay. How can you not love this guy? I would really like to know who the reporter was.
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
Damn Zorn needs to calm the .... down. Between this and his outburst on the sidelines, guys going to have a heart attack by the end of the year. Which sucks because we've finally found a good coach that will hopefully stick around for a while. Become one with the zen.
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
I would love to know who the reporter was..lmao
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
lol I love Zorny, dude gets fired up
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
I liked it too. He wasn't being an ass. He got genuinely frustrated that the reporter couldn't get his sh*t together and ask exactly what he wanted. I guess the question had to do with clock management at the end of the 1st half? I thought the approach was right on. We just continued to make dumb sh*t mistakes.
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
That is gold. I can't stop watching it haha
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
From the editing it looks like they were on that question for a long time. So he porbably answered it over and over. come on, you'd get pissed if some douche like JLC was rolling his eyes at you, lol. This makes me Zorny.
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
that's so funny...lol
Hey ! don't make me come down there....What's with the eye roll man, are you ok? yeah me too it's cool....lol |
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
this will show up on a Coors Light commercial soon I'm sure of it.
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
Hilarious stuff. What I loved was how he went from calm, to livid, to calm in less than 10 seconds.
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
I think his intensity wears off on the rest of the team in good way. Zorn is the man.
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
What I do love is that's he's this pissed after a WIN. He's not satisfied. He knows we should have pounded the Lions. Good stuff. He'll be kind of sheepish tomorrow, but now we've all seen that flash. That goof-ball style he has doesn't mean he's not intense.
|
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
I don't think this counts as an "I'm A Soldier" moment. In order to make such a remark, the speaker must (1) publicly construct an asinine, egotistical metaphor (2) at an inappropriate time and (3) in a tone that is totally disproportionate to the tone of the interviewer.
It looks like Zorn's statement only meets condition three and thus fails the venerable Winslow Test. I would say we could call this "pulling a Denny Green," but that would involve storming out of the room immediately after making the statement*. It could be "pulling a John L. Smith," but that would involve some light self-flagellation. Maybe it was "pulling a Mora?" In my opinion, Zorn didn't do diddly-poo wrong in that interview. We have way bigger fish to fry this week. GO SKINS! |

Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
i saw this last night, but i never heard the question the guy asked him either.
it was nothing like singletary's explosion.he told vernon davis to leave the field and hit the showers with 10 minutes left in the game, and he went apeshit on the podium after the game. |
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
It's all good as long as we're winning. Otherwise, Zorn is headed to Coors commercial fame a' la Denny Greeen.

Did you see Blache on Comcast last night. Talk about not being satisfied. I'd be scared if I were a defensive player. He is on a mission for perfection. He called us the worst 6-2 defense in the league. Not a happy man last night. |

That's what set him off and I don't blame him. I don't think you give a guy an eye-roll when he is genuinely trying to answer your question and is generally considered one of the most open approachable coaches in the league. O'Halloran deserved the verbal smack-down on that. |

:nono:Anyone have one of your kids roll there eyes at you while you're trying to explain something to them? Yeah, I know how he feels. :nono:

Blache expects an elite defense. He will accept nothing less. He will humble you quickly. Good man. |

I don't think I've ever seen a coach tell a player to leave the field and take a shower during a game. That was unbelievable. |

I saw it. I tune in to Comcast after the games just to hear Blache. Did you hear his comment about the skunk?? I almost think he's too tough on these guys. When you're holding an NFL team to 57 yards rushing w/out your best D-linemen I'd say that's pretty good. But you're correct, Blache wants perfection and I'm glad he's our DC. |
Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
I have no problem with Zorn's reaction. At best, the press is a pain in the ass. At it's worst it's.........well.
Listening to O'halloran this am on 980am, he admits his body language "could have been negative, and he was rolling his eyes as Zorn was talking to him". JZ treats people with respect. I imagine he appreciates the same in return. O'halloran and the rest of the press corps......understand this, yes? Good stuff! |

Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
i like that zorn can let the reporters kno that he isnt just a really nice guy and they have to respect him. I couldn't hear the question itself but i think it had to do wiht being content with a fg at the end of the half. Zorn said on 3rd and 19 he ran a draw. Correct me if i'm wrong but i felt he ran a 7 yard slant route to get into better field goal range, which fell incomplete. So Zorn wasn't making much sense in the eyes of the reporter. I could be wrong.

Re: Zorn's I'm A Soldier Moment
I've watched that video like 9 times now and I laugh every time I see it. I think underneathe the laidback "medium" facade Zorn is just a ball of energy and aggression. I wonder if he goes to bed at night uttering "goosfraba".
