Peter King:we know who he wants in the superbowl
this is what fatass peter king had to say in SI yesterday.
i hate that fatass skunk more every damn day.i just hope the skins keep being disrespected by the league and all the writers so they can shove it up their ass at the endof the year.i swear if i saw that fat bastard king i'd kick him right in the nuts!does he piss anybody else off here?
This is a column for another day, but is anyone else salivating at the thought of a Giants-Titans Super Bowl, with the specter of that fearsome Giants' front against the Great Wall of Tennessee? It won't be the sexiest Super Bowl matchup ever, but the Dr. Z's of the world won't be able to sleep the night before that one, wondering if Kevin Mawae and company can neutralize Fred Robbins and Barry Cofield, and if Roos and David Stewart can keep the speed-rush heat off Collins ... not to mention Albert Haynesworth and Kyle Vanden Bosch fighting an excellent Giants offensive front.
|
Re: Peter King:we know who he wants in the superbowl
Yeah, nothing more exciting than a 13-10 Super Bowl.
|
Re: Peter King:we know who he wants in the superbowl
Well, right now who are the top 2 teams in the league?
Titans 7-0 Giants 6-1 No disputing that. He does lean NY sometimes but they are the top 2 teams in the league. The skins have 2 losses, so we're not in the top 2. |

BTW, the Titans opposing teams' record? 17-33 I'm not sold on them, either. |

And the Giants represent one of those two losses. Really, I can't say I'm a huge fan of King, but if some writer wanted to start musing about the ideal Super Bowl match up half way through the season, the writer would probably want to begin with the two top teams (provided, of course, they're from different conferences). King is doing just that. |

King is doing just that.
Right, and he's also saying that it would be a good game because both teams have strong offensive and defensive lines. The thing about that is that while it would be a lot of fun for old-school, football savvy people to see a game that is all about the trench warfare, the vast majority of people watching would be bored to death by halftime. Like Matty said, it would probably be a 13-10 game.

NYG's have a tough 7 or 8 game stretch coming up. They just beat Pitts on the road to my suprise. We'll know more about them soon. |

Last year's Super Bowl was low scoring and still pretty exciting. |

Yeah but when did it get exciting... at the end when some points were finally scored. Up until that point it was a snoozer. |
Re: Peter King:we know who he wants in the superbowl
when are some of you going to get off the "media hates the skins" kick?? seriously...its getting old. of course people have their bias towards teams, but some of you think there is a freaking conspiracy theory going on. Do you not think other teams get ragged..you just pay more attention to the ones with REDSKIN lables on them. I think the perception of our franchise has taken a turn for the better in the last few years. Of course there was going to be some speculation this year with Joe leaving, and everyone wondering what Danny's reaction was going to be.
relax for crying out loud....some of the stuff that said is not that bad. like Kings superbowl thing. they do it every year. We are being mentioned in some circles as contenders.. that is good enough for me right now. We haven't been labled contenders in a LONG TIME |
Re: Peter King:we know who he wants in the superbowl
Big deal if King wants to see the Titans and Giants in the SB. His opinion on this matter is about as relevant as some big name endorsing a presidential candidate.
|
Re: Peter King:we know who he wants in the superbowl
Peter King is a Giants fan. So, this isn't really surprising.

Re: Peter King:we know who he wants in the superbowl
I'm not sure what the obsession with Peter King is. Who gives a f**k?

Word. I don't know why there's such a need to get riled up over who he wants in the Super Bowl. I mean if Goodell came out and said those words, that's another thing. |

This site would fizzle into absurdity if we started a thread for every negative comment (or perceived negative comment in this case I guess) by Pasta-Belly, Sally Jenkins, and Peter King. I hope all of their feathers get ruffled when they see "6-2" next to our name in the standings. |
Re: Peter King:we know who he wants in the superbowl
I think it would be an interesting Super Bowl. If it would be anything like the Giants/Steelers game last week it would be a very entertaining game.

Why do people care what national media says? If there was no coverage at all I could understand but someone's opinion of who the best teams are? |

Re: Peter King:we know who he wants in the superbowl
I get goosebumps looking back at how exciting the Super Bowl was the last time Kerry Collins was one of the starting QBs (against the Ravens). King is an idiot. I still say, who has Tennessee played that's any good? Don't say the Colts, because they might be the most disappointing team in the league. They are a one dimensional, run-only team that would have trouble coming from behind against any team with a solid D. I'll concede that their defense will keep them in most games, but that offense does not impress me at all.

Well....the second half was. 1st half was a snooze fest. |
Re: Peter King:we know who he wants in the superbowl
Peter King can root for whoever he wants to as long as he is objective when he talks about the Redskins and in my opinion he is. I think he actually gats a bad rap from skins fans probably due in large part to his long time stance on Art Monk.

Hmmm..what if monday nights game could be a superbowl preview?...hmmmm

Personally I would prefer not to be picked to go to the Superbowl.. Who gives a sh!t about what he may or may not think. |
Re: Peter King:we know who he wants in the superbowl
he opinion looks like and smells like well you know....i can,t really fault him for his opinion really,
whatever he thinks is fine by me and and lenny make a great team if they ever paired up together. |
Re: Peter King:we know who he wants in the superbowl
king loves the giants so i say that's typical giant fan rubbish

I agree about not wanting to be a Superbowl Pick. For whatever reason this current group of Redskins seems to acheive the most when no one is expecting it. Remember all the hype in 2006 after our playoff run in '05? People thought we were destined for playoff glory and we laid a big fat 5-11 egg. |
Re: Peter King:we know who he wants in the superbowl
i think the man is a complete and total jackass!
he is in love with the pats and giants,it's nauseauting. |

He also did so becuase his brother-in-law is a Steelers fan, and thinks that whenver King picks against Pitt, they win. He'll take a slap at the skins any way he can. FanNation | The Peter King Challenge |

Dead quiet, I like it. On another note, I'm surprised King didn't pick the Jets, then we could see two living legends in the big show, Favre and Mason. Sorry I couldn't resist. |

Sorry I couldn't resist.
A good friend of mine is a Jets fan and has season tickets. I'm going with him to the Jets-Rams game next weekend. I'll get to see those two legends LIVE. I may faint. Imagine if Mason gets a carry while Favre is under center? At the exact moment of the handoff, time will freeze and all points in the universe will be aligned. :) |
