Great Game

Hey Guys I'm not here to glow... it was a great game it came down to the las minute we can't ask for more in rivalry games.

Both defense played good hard hits... it was a grat game to watch.

And Now the run for the playoffs it's ON!!! the next few weeks are going to be amazing.

Re: Great Game

BS! It was a horrific game, and dallas was completely inept. They should have gotten their ass handed to them 88-3. Fortunately for you. The Skins were inept.......er. Consider the win luck, not an accomplishment.......and have a nice day

Smooter 11-17-2008 07:21 AM

Re: Great Game

I wouldn't call it a great game. I'd much rather lose a game knowing we played our best. Unfortunately until we can start putting up some points we better get used to it.

Re: Great Game

If it weren't for someone coming out with a W it wouldn't have been a great game. Both these teams have huge question marks right now. I'd say one of us has a shot at playoffs and looking at the schedule, and our inept offense I'd say dallas will get in. Its not like either of these teams are really good though.

Why weren't you here 2 months ago when we won in Dallas?

Re: Great Game

As much of a Skins fan as I am I almost hope we don't get it. We have no pass protection against great DE's, we have no WR except Moss, our RB's are dinged up, we have no pass rush on D, and most importantly 3 night games and all losses. In case you all have not noticed but the SB is a night game.

Re: Great Game

Good close game. I guess it beats spending over $60 for a family of 4 to see a movie. As good and as bad as both teams looked ...the play offs is about all they should get.

The Giants really don't look impressive either....but for some reason they keep winning. I totally thought the Ravens would hand them a loss and they let me down.

Re: Great Game

This game was horrendous to watch actually and not just b/c the skins lost. Dallas played better and deserved to win...barely. We were inept and have offensive problems. If we had any offense at all we would have won, but we don't and we didn't and deserved the loss.

Twilbert07 11-17-2008 09:47 AM

Re: Great Game

D'Boyz,
You guys smashed us in the mouth, so it's hard to argue who was the better team last night. We have real problems on offense. I hope we turn it around and dismiss the Cowboys from the playoffs!

It wasnt a great game. It was 2 inept offenses trying to do something. I was bored completely.

Re: Great Game

It was a friggin miserable game, what the hell were you watching? Neither of these teams is going to make the playoffs if they play like that the rest of the way.

Re: Great Game

D'Boys well I don't have a problem with your post most of the time but to come here and start a thread Great Game from a Dallas fan is dumb for us to allow. I say the mods should remove this thread or are we going to let dallas fans treat us like the steeler fans did last week in our own house.

Re: Great Game

The refs SUCKED!! The second touchdown by Marcellus Bennett should have been offensive pass interference, he held/interfered with Horton and then made a great catch and the refs totally missed it.

A great game? The team that sucks the least can win on any given Sunday. Is that how it goes?

Let's not stoop to the level of blaming the refs. We got beaten because we stunk. Plain and simple.

SFREDSKIN 11-17-2008 11:50 AM

Re: Great Game

You have to admit that they blew some calls like the touchback that turned into an 80 yard drive for a TD. Did you see the second Dallas TD? Bennett held/pushed off Horton and then made a great catch.

The touchback call they got right. We should only be mad at Rock for that play. The ball was dead at the 1 yard line. There was no need for him to dive on it. Just kneel down and touch it. When he was rolling into the endzone, he flipped the ball back, it bounced of Khary Campbell's knee and hit Rock in the butt while he was across the goal line. As much as it sucks, it was actually a good call.

Not sure about the Bennett TD. I guess that could have gone either way.

not to mention that we had the turnovers and went 3 and out with them ..not a good sign if you ask me...it was boring and i simply cut off the tv after the boyz took the lead ...i was disgusted in our overall play to be honest.......this stretch run will be a stretch for us thats for sure...

As others have said, the touchback was the correct call. Rock touched it while in the endzone. It was a stupid play by Rock.

The Bennett touchdown was a good no call, IMO. Gotta let the players play. Horton got beat.

If the offense scores, the Skins win that game. It comes down to the ineptitude by the offense, not borderline (non)calls by the refs.

Re: Great Game

its disgusting.

didnt score off turnovers, so getting them means shit.

jason taylor, i completly agree, get him off the field he isnt playing well AT ALL right now.

DeAngelo, welcome.... u should have been in when Fred was gasping for air...

shaun alexander? ... goodbye dude, have a seat Rock should be ahead of u on the depth chart u are terrible and dont even deserve to have reps in the game.

jason campbell ... can't zoom in on moss so much and force him the ball... can't blame u for the O-Line lack of pass pro....

clinton, played well as usual... but i think maybe u should have rested 2 be honest.

suisam ... what else is new, good for a critical miss in every game more so than not.

fletcher, where were u 95% of the game last night?

REFS - FUCK OFF. BARBER'S ELBOW WAS DOWN AND THE BALL DIDNT BREAK THE PLAIN.

READ THE FUCKIN RULE BOOK ROCK HAD THE BALL AND WASNT ON THE GOAL-LINE THAT PLAY IS DEAD AT THAT POINT.

CLINTON WAS OUT-OF BOUNDS THANKS FOR FUCKING UP A POSSIBLE TD DRIVE BEFORE THE HALF.

FUCKIN DISGRACEFUL REFS.

that is all. im frustrated now.

to those of u mistakin about the TB ....

he possesed it out of the endzone b4 flipping it, play is dead.

rule book 101.

along with that so called touchback call on rock...lets see another one would be that the boys jumped offsides and campbell though and i thought they had a free play there but i guees mr. triplett thought otherwise...i tell ya last night mad me hot real damn quick...thats 2 games in a row where this team can,t get out of it,s own way....poor jason got the shit knock out of him again unfortunately....all i saw was a boring football game as compared to our first meeting with the boyz.......

these next 6 games will be a true test to this team and we shall see how they respond...they need to play with some urgency down this stretch run too.oh by the way hey zorn please open up the playbook and go downfield with it,nevermind these 2 yrd slants who cares.....

my 2 cents worth..

Re: Great Game

I totally agree guys with it was a game filled with mistakes and no offense.

But I saw two teams filled with injuries playing with hearth not 100% but giving their all.... Portis inured playing his ass off, Romo we all saw he couldn't throw deep a lot and was off but doing everything to help his team.

there were a lot of hard hits, yeah both teams need a lot if they want to make it to the playoffs and that's what this next week is with both teams you guys getting Seattle us SF

D'BOYZ,

You got balls coming in and making a post, ill give ya that, and with that you got my respect, BUT...saying it was a great game is sort of pointless. If it wasnt for our inept Offense we wouldve won that game because of The Cowboys turnovers. But ofcourse, at it seems to be year in and year out, we are to inept and inconsistent...Ohwell...Goodluck against 49ers.

How does it take balls to post something on the internet where no one knows who you are or live?

Re: Great Game

I agree that the outcome of these Redskin-Cowboy rivalry games has come down to who is the healthier of the two teams when they meet, but after all, injuries are the great equalizer, are they not?

Hey, I'll vouch for the fact that you and sandtrap we're both here the week after the first game to eat your lumps. But there are a lot of Cowboys fans on this fourm that (excluding pbhawks), really shouldn't show up here until the Cowboys are out of playoff contention, because they weren't here to defend their "Boys" when they were really out there sucking it up every week.

Sandtrapjack disappeared for three weeks after the first game. He showed up only when the Boys traded for Roy E.

most of what you said is true, but the refs.....seriously. Is that what we have to resort to now? they made good calls. regarding the touch back, here are the rules regarding that from the NFL rule book.."When a ball is dead on or behind a team’s own goal line, provided the impetus came from an opponent and provided it is not a touchdown or a missed field goal"
Rock didn't control the ball, it was still moving, so the right call was made.

The cowboys beat us, and made plays when they needed them. We couldn't stop Barber to get the ball back at the end of the game, so we couldn't make plays on D either. To call out Fletcher is crazy. He has been a monster for us since coming here.

Re: Great Game

CONGRATS.
this is what penis king,i mean peter king said about last night.i think he has the stiffies for romo and barber.
7. Tony Romo's a hero. Marion Barber's the truth. Barber, down the stretch in Washington, continually found the burst and the stamina to make it to the first-down marker and bleed the clock further; he had 83 rushing-receiving yards in the fourth quarter against a defense that knew he was coming. Romo? His hand hurt, and he wasn't perfect. But he saved the Dallas' season. The numbers don't matter. His leadership and presence do. If I were him, I'd take a DVD of this game, put it away and take it out one day next spring while throwing the ball into the couch at home (which he actually does when he doesn't have anyone to throw with). It's the kind of game you want to remember for the rest of your life.
