Seattle week predictions
With the road trip to Seattle looming. And after two big loses, how do we show up this week in Seattle?
This to me is a MUST WIN game for our team IMO. We haven't had much recent luck out in the North West of Seattle, what used to be Zorn country.... I think this team has to win 5 of the next 6 to have a chance at post season play. I don't see 10 wins being enough this season to even get a wild card birth. With that said, it starts now. We have to find a way to get a win in this game. And I think we will. Will it be easy NO. Seattle is not a bad club and getting Matt back last week makes them even more dangerous. It starts up front! Pass pro, keep JC clean. And lets see if we can find a way to get a few damn SACKS......for once! And win the turnover battle as we did last week and get something out of it, would be an awful nice bonus. Your thoughts on the game? |
Re: Seattle week predictions
Redskins 32
Seattle 13 |
Re: Seattle week predictions
Skins win by 2 TDs or more.
Game total in the low 40s. Parlay the Skins laying the points with the OVER. |
Re: Seattle week predictions
I think the Passing Attack will show up this week. Clinton will be back over 100 w/a TD. Seattle always gives us problems, especially at home. But this year theyre Defense is in shambles...and i think our squad is hungry.. like all of us.. for another win we desperately need after two awful weeks. We Grind this one out and take it by margen.

Seattle 13
I would be THRILLED to score 32 on the road. If we do, chances are we have either a defensive or teams TD. But I would love to see a 30 spot on the board for the B&G. |
Re: Seattle week predictions
Seattle is in garbage time for 8 minutes in the 4th quarter, then a fumble and a recovered onside kick makes it close with 3 minutes left to go. Skins' squeezes it out once again 24-20.
Also, Shaun Alexander gets booed by Seattle fans and gets no carries. Macolm Kelly makes a clutch catch for a TD. Zorn goes max protect in the second half. |
Re: Seattle week predictions
I predict that at some point during the game I will kick over my desk chair in my living room.

Re: Seattle week predictions
Who knows. For some reason we turn into the Detroit Lions everytime we play them.

Re: Seattle week predictions
Hard to forget Kerney whooping ass on Heyer last season and subsequently mopping up the field w/ Collins' limp body. If Jansen plays (and I think he will) I predict Kerney gets 3 or 4 sacks on his own.
Aside from the freak-show we're gonna see at RT I expect Holmgren to put on a clinic vs his struggling, uncertain underling. I just don't see a W this weekend but I sincerely hope to eat crow Sunday afternoon. 24-10 Seachickens. Ugh. |
Re: Seattle week predictions
I think the stretch runs Gibbs led us on in 05 and 07 are a big deal right now. Basically all of the major players on our team know what it takes to bring it late in the year with the playoffs on the line. We're staring a .500 division record square in the mouth (our only remaining home games), so we're gonna need some road magic.

Re: Seattle week predictions
It doesn't appear Kerney is of concern! Might want to redo your math there goat.....?

Re: Seattle week predictions
I like the "we just never seem to play well when were there..." argument.
How about, they were always really good, and now they aren't? |
Re: Seattle week predictions
If we continue to run the ball next week, then we can win. If we give up on it like we did against Dallas, then we will lose.
|
Re: Seattle week predictions
20-14 Skins win.

Seattle 13
Right now I don't think our offense can score 30 on USC. |
Re: Seattle week predictions
The Skins dont play well on west coast trips. This game is similar to the Dallas game - 2 inept offenses. Seattle wins because they are at home.

How do you think we score 30+ on Seattle when our offense couldn't get that on Det or STL? I hope I'm wrong cause this is a MUST WIN GAME. Seattle 17 Wash 13 |
Re: Seattle week predictions
Skins 17
Seahawks 10 I'm going out on a limb here, but I believe this is the week that one of the rookie receivers finally scores a TD. If they can't contribute against a struggling Seattle D, they will be pretty useless against the Giants and Ravens after this week. |
Re: Seattle week predictions
I predict Shawn Springs might OR might not play.....? and we WIN with or without him!
Posted at 12:10 PM ET, 11/19/2008 Springs Says He'll Play From Jason "Jasno" La Canfora: Ran into Shawn Springs and, although we've heard this before, he said he is definitely going to play Sunday, that he's feeling good and that there are no issues with his calf. |
Re: Seattle week predictions
Springs is dead to me.

It was a joke. But for the record and clarity. I DON'T give two shits about the I have to be 100% SS to play the game of football..... Back to the thread. This is a game we should take full control of, and I really hope we do! In blow out fashion. A real confidence booster this team could use right now! |
Re: Seattle week predictions
how about we stop worrying about predictions. I think we all can see no one can predict anything with this team. Lets just hope for a W, by 1 point by 50 who cares

Yea, lets stop predicting the score because we need to start to breaking down film and sending our report to Zorn before Fridays practice. I heard in his last presser he was blaming us for not breaking down the game film sooner for him and instead we were just waisting time predicting the out come of the game. |

Now thats funny. Damn a did my film study.....I'm just tardy on getting it of to Zorn in time for Friday. I'll try to do better next time......maybe |
Re: Seattle week predictions
Redskins 17
Seahags - 10 I don't think we can score more than 21 points. Our offense is too shell-shocked. Zorn knows this team and should be able to hit it in the weak spots. |
Re: Seattle week predictions
Skins - 27
The team missing Zorn a lot right now - 16 |
Re: Seattle week predictions
Redskins: 26
Sea-chickens: 13 Zorn knows the tendencies of Seattle's O and Hasselbeck. Defense will provide another solid outing. The Seattle D-Line isn't Dallas or Pittsburgh, I expect we move the ball well, but again settle for FGs instead of TDs on too many occasions. |
Re: Seattle week predictions
Honestly, I can't even predict a decent score lately. I would THINK that we should be able to beat Seattle given the fact that they're stinking up the joint this season. But we've never been that great playing in Seattle.
I'm just hoping Zorn doesn't let the Skins offense run in place this week. We have to get some sort of offense going otherwise look forward to another defensive battle game. Skins - 17 That crappy team in Seattle - 16 |
Re: Seattle week predictions
I really dont wanna go with the "we never play well in Seattle argument" because its really only based off of two playoff games, one year in which Seattle went to the Super Bowl (05') and one in which they went 9-0 at home (2007). Seattle sucks, plain and simple. Right now, were not exactly playing good football either...but if we lose a game to a team like Seattle at this point, we really dont deserve to go to the playoffs. Coming off 2 straight losses, knowing the position were in right now, I dont think its going to be an issue. I think the Skins win 24-14, in a game that is probaboly going to be close.

Re: Seattle week predictions
The offensive line plays better, Portis runs for over 100, and one of the Rookies show up. Redskins-27 Seahawks-13 Deep Creek High School graduate Darryl Tapp DE #55 starts for Seattle.
|
Re: Seattle week predictions
Unless both sides of the ball implode, I just can't see the Redskins losing this game. The Seahawks are struggling big time, and just had to put Patrick Kerney on the IR. While Hasselbeck is back from injury, he'll have to take some time to knock the cobwebs off. Washington out, Springs is back, and everyone else seems to be accounted for.

Re: Seattle week predictions
Skins 27
Seahawks 26 Another one of those coulda shoulda woulda been games with the skins prevailing late in the 4th. |
Re: Seattle week predictions
Hmmmm. This is tough because I am not entirely sure on which Redskins team will appear. We seemingly have multiple personalities.
Skins 23 Seahawks 13 |
Re: Seattle week predictions
The only numbers we can be somewhat sure of is how many penalties Casey Rabach will amass.
If this woefully pathetic Redskin offense gets more than 16 points I'll be stunned. If our defense atones for the 4th quarter against Dallas, 16 should be enough for a win. |
