McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
FROM JLC:
Eagles QB Donovan McNabb just doesn't care much for the Skins. He was pretty perturbed after Washington came back from being down 14-0 to win at Philly early this season. (How odd does that sound -- the Redskins came back from being down two touchdowns to win?) At that time, he spoke about how he didn't think the better team had won. On Sunday night, McNabb took another little shot at the Skins. Sure, they were reeling and all, but it's an NFC East grudge match. Anything can happen, right? Any given Sunday and all of that. Here's what McNabb had to say: "I feel we could control our own destiny. This is frustrating to come out here and play a team we knew we could beat. We made mistakes and mis-opportunities; it's tough for us to swallow at this particular point. Only thing we can do is kind of regroup and learn from our mistakes and be ready for next week." Sure, it wasn't the most explosive rhetoric, but the Eagles aren't exactly a juggernaut themselves, what with McNabb getting benched in Baltimore and the tie in Cincinnati and all of that. His 70 passer rating wasn't exactly something to celebrate, either. Just sayin' |
Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
Yeah, I mentioned this on the Gameday Thread yesterday and considered giving it a thread of it's own.
After our first game, his BS about the better team losing was just weak. Now he says it again. That's funny McCrybaby. If you're so much better, how come we swept you and have won 4 of the last 5 over your punk ass team? Thanks. A classy leader would tip their hat to our defensive effort. Instead he whines and makes excuses. That's fine with me. Just makes him look like an ass. |
Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
Seems like he uses the word "swallow" every time he loses. Is there something he's not saying to the media?

His new nickname should Donovan "DEEPTHROAT" McNabb. |
Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
Spoken with all the sportmanship, charm, and class one would naturally associate with Philly, their Eagles, and their fans...............

Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
I think what is really hard for "Deep Throat" to swallow is the fact that he may never win a championship and the Skins show their team for what they really are.... a second tier team who are still the only NFC East team to never win a Super Bowl. Their prospects for changing that any time soon do not appear very good. I think his chance has passed him by and we keep reminding him of that.

Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
I could care less about what Donovan McScabb has to say about us, he can't even stay on the field for an entire season, but he can talk bad about our team. Dude needs to get his priorities straight like staying healthy or maintaining his starting job.

Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
I'll second that. Who gives two shits what McNonadds has to say about the SKINS! He's just a sour little biatch, he can't beat us...what's the point?
Stop your cryin lil TO.....take your losses like a real man! Maybe you'll grow up with your next team..? doubtful! |
Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
I hope he feels the broomstick that the Skins shoved up his ass this year. ;)

I agree I love that sweeping sound, oh and F#CK McNabb!!! It was great to see him get beat down yesterday, the better team won yesterday!!! |
Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
McNabb has obviously played in Philly for too long. He's starting to talk like Eagles fans. There's always some excuse or conspiracy why they lost. They are ALWAYS the better team but some cosmic force held them back. Like Charles Barkley said when he played for Dream Team 1..."take your a$$-whippin and go home!!" Donovan just isn't a winner and he's obviously not a good loser either. Those comments are just like most of his passes last night...they just fall short!
My advice to you Donovan...Go eat some chunky soup, have a coke and a smile and shut the f&*^ up!! HAIL!! |

I think he just finished deep throating it and got an undigested corn nibblet stuck between his teeth. |
Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
i hate him he's such a poor sport.

Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
I wish Culpepper had gotten on TV after the Lions Titans Thanksgiving game and been like, well, we really let one get away from us today. That would have been even funnier.
Isn't the best team didn't win argument like the lamest excuse ever? Isn't that exactly what Wade Phillips said last year after losing to the Giants? Geez, man up and take some responsibility for another lost season (last time McNabb led the Eagles to the playoffs I was a freaking college student). |
Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
one is an accident. 2 is a trend. we beat the eagles twice. we are the better team

i guess thats why he feels so sour about the outcome from both games against us this year... it,s a big ole broom at that too. mcnugget needs to get over it..it is what it is... |
Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
McNabb's problem is he has a higher opinion of himself than everyone else has. McNabb is not the same McNabb of the past, period,.

Correction. Go play for Detroit!! |
Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
I hate the iggles, but I respect McNabb a great deal, and I think he's not gotten enough credit over the years. He's still a pretty good qb, but his head coach/playcaller didn't help him by abandoning the run game. When we come out first snap & play most of the game in a nickel w/3 cb's do you really think passing twice as much as running is the best game plan?
McNabb was smart enough to at least not criticize his coach & recievers. The game could've easily gone the other way, thankfully it didn't. We've swept Philly twice in the last 4 years I believe. Feels good considering how they got the better of us for so long in the late 90s/early 00s. |
Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
McNabb can go eat a fat d***. I'm starting to suspect T.O. was right about him....nothing worse than a professional sore loser.
|
Re: McNabb Still Doesn't Feel the Love
If they are really a better team than us that just got unlucky twice, they'll go out and kick the Cowboys all over the field, and actually finish ahead of us in the standings.
Because if they go out, lay an egg next week, and put the Cowboys in the playoffs, that's 1-5 in the division, vs. our 3-3. And then it's a tough sell to your own fans that you aren't the worst team in the division. |

The media has gone out of its way to avoid criticising him. The Eagles are a one man team offensively and the one man is not McNabb. Both times they played us, Westbrook was banged up and both times they struggled offensively. They had 14 points in the first quarter of the first game against us, but in the last seven quarters, they managed just two field goals. They are a lot like the Redskins actually - a strong defense with an offense that is easily contained. Perhaps its no coincidence that both coaches are Holmgren acolytes and both call their own plays. My view is that the West Coast offense as these guys run it is not the cutting edge anymore. The Packers run it too, and they're 5 - 10. The Seahawks are horrible. It seems to me the best offenses do whatever works without adhering to any one philosophy. That unpredictability is necessary in an age of computer analysis where tendencies can be catalogued.
