Cards looked good, but DAMN. If we would not of feel apart we COULD of been going.

I love the way it ended (Cards vs. Eagles) it couldn't have happened to a nicer team. Maybe McNabb will say in the press conference that he's embarrassed losing to the Cards because they Eagles were the better team.

Go Cards!! Screw the Eagles!!

Who woulda thunk it? The Cardinals in the Super Bowl??!! That's why you've gotta love the NFL. I think it would be pretty sweet to see the Cards win it all.

I didn't see the McNabb press conference. I wonder if he whined about the better team losing?? What a chump. Cry Eagles Cry!! I'm SOOO happy they lost.

I agree.... Hell has frozen over....

Congrats to them though. They played really well down the stretch in the playoffs.

Pittsburgh vs. Arizona

It has a strange feel to it doesn't it?

AHHH HA HA HA. I love it. I can't stand Filth-a-delphia. Better team losing my ass. Warner has a ring. You can kiss it McNabb. Go cry in your chunky soup! We own Philly!

It's going to be more like Arizona @ Pittsburgh with the way that Steelers fans travel. It'd be nice to see AZ pull the upset, but I dunno about this one.

i'm seriously considering ignoring the SB this year... maybe i'll just go skiing. While the Cards are a nice story i don't see them competing against the Steelers, who I despise and can't stand watching anyway.

Re: AFC/NFC Championship game thread

I'm very happy for Adrian Wilson of the Cards, he could have chosen free agency and to go play for another team for more money. He chose to stay with the Cards in hopes that one day they would turn it around and he was rewarded with a trip to the SB. I hope his team wins the SB and he gets his ring. The loyalty this individual shows is so rare nowadays, I hope to see players like this with Redskins in this age Prima Donnas. I love this kind of stories.

GO CARDS!!

Larry Fitz is a MAN! I do think we saw how to beat them though in the second half. Pressure pressure pressure. They'll be in it up to their eyeballs against Pitt.

Nice to see teams with a pass rush, OL protection and pass receivers who can catch.

McKnabb chocked AGAIN. The Eagles rookie WR, Jackson caught more passes than our three WR/TE draft picks together.

Vinny - take notes. Sorry, you're probably more interested in the radio program....

I been saying this since the playoff's that the Card's were going, but maybe all of you out there who think that we need an elite line to be dominant, No look no futher than having an elite WR (Larry Fitzgerald) is the kind of WR that change games, he is now my new favorite WR. Go Cards!

first off, i hate the eagles. but how do you figure? when the eagles were behind, he took them on 3 long, consecutive scoring drives to take the lead. their defense couldnt hold it.

Glad to see both the Ravens and the Eagles lose. Both of their fans are obnoxious. Plus they both have an inferiority complex. What good is an inferiority complex when you win?

So the debate over who's the best receiver in the league. That's over right?

The Cardinals are showing the importance of big play by big receivers to complement (for them) a decent running game. If Kelly and Thomas can step up next year and add a new dimension to Portis, our offense should be much better than 22nd or wherever we finished in scoring.

Well, McNabb had two first half turnovers, and missed badly on some key throws. Yes, his numbers looked okay with 3tds, but he wasn't outstanding by any means.

The thing the Skins would still be missing is the QB. Warner knows how to get rid of the ball quickly and is a really accurate passer. The Skins dont have that yet at QB.

The Eagles had success yesterday in spite of DM. His inaccurate passing (he was terrible in the 1st half) killed a few drives in the 4th qtr that could have run more clock and set the Eagles up for more points. For the few great passes he threw he had way too many bad ones. I hate to say what team's QB he reminded me of yesterday so I wont say it.

Re: AFC/NFC Championship game thread

Last night McNabb was about as accurate as a Juggs machine with one wheel. If you scrutinized a QB's accuracy just like a WR's hands, McNabb would have been a backup at best. However, the eagles throw about 30+plays a game so the numbers get scewed. I commend him for the 3 drives but his passes were all over the damn place.

I don't think anyone said we need an "elite" line, just a younger, healthier line capable of consistent pass protection really.

Don't forget the Cardinals have an amazing O-line coach in Russ Grimm, and he's doing a great job with those guys, who have in large part been healthy all season.

Wow, Fitzgerald is your new favorite WR? Go Cards? What happened to the Falcons? You were touting them a few weeks ago. Bandwagon much? If Fitzgerald gets shut down in the SuperBowl and Santonio Holmes plays well for Pitt, I imagine you'll have a Steelers avatar and Holmes jersey....

THE ARIZONA CARDINALS ARE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!!!

Reminds me of my favorite quote from Ghostbusters!

LOL. Around here we call someone like that a Frontrunner. Only roots for the team that is in the front or doing well at the time. Changes teams whenever the tide changes.

Regarding the Cards:
1) Kurt Warner was very impressive in the way he handled the vaunted Eagles blitz. Especially in the first half Warner gave a clininc on how to be the blitz. The way he completed those short passes to his TE's & RB's right over the top, just out of the reach of the blitzing defenders. Those short passes over the middle turned into 10-20 yard gains.

2) The Cardinals defense was the biggest surprise of the entire 2008 playoffs. If they can get their injured players back for the Sb, they should make it a game.

It ended up being a positive thing because it shut Boldin up. I do not think Boldin was back on the field after that incident. Haley also yelled at Warner early in the game after the first int. Warner was hyped up and Haley told Warner to relax and come back to him later. It also seemed to work.
Haley called a great game.

Yeah he did, he made a grea plan on attacking the eagles blitzs, im sure he can do the same against pitts

I'm not sold on Jason Campbell after his regression in the second half of the season. But, he is our QB, and I hope - as I'm sure you do - that he develops into a Top 10 QB. I think his QB rating was 19th in 2008. We do need more consistency than that.

So do 31 other teams. He's probably the best WR in the league right now.

Re: AFC/NFC Championship game thread

I'm very happy we don't have to watch the putrid Eagles in the SB. Two weeks of hearing about McNabb and Reid would be enough to depress me really bad.

The eagles are a mediocre team that started playing above average for a couple weeks. McNabb is not a great QB. He's too streaky. You never know what your going to get. He's a good qb who makes his plays by his ability to scramble around. He can't consistently hit open recievers from the pocket.

Weren't some of us trying to put McNabb in the Hall of Fame six days ago?
