Jon Runyan
I know he's old (35 i believe) but has 2 to 3 good years left.
Vet. Min. ? What do you guys think ? |
Re: Jon Runyan
r u serial?
|
Re: Jon Runyan
I doubt he would have to take the veteran minimum from anybody.
|
Re: Jon Runyan
I'd much rather have Paul Bunyan.
No more old dudes for us thank you very much. If you are an older NFL player and you come to Washington you are guaranteed to shrivel up and die right there on the field. |

Why not? I know we want to get younger but he's still very good and will make a difference right away. VET. MIN!!!!!! |

I know we want to get younger but he's still very good and will make a difference right away. VET. MIN!!!!!!
That's what we thought of Jason Taylor and look what happened. And as someone said, he's not coming here for the vet. min. |

What, is he thinking of going to Dallas? |
Re: Jon Runyan
I don't want him to play here, because I'd probably be forced to through rocks at him when he's on the field, and thus I'd be banned from FedEx for life.

What SFREDSKIN is trying to say is that the hygiene of our players is of the highest priority and bringing in a man who doesn't bathe regularly might go a long way towards hurting the entire team. |
Re: Jon Runyan
Amazing to think he's younger than Pete Kendall
But anyway....no |
Re: Jon Runyan
So it sounds like everyone here wants him

Vet. Min. ? What do you guys think ?
Yes ,why yes .I think the Danny should go after him...at least 10 mill a year! |
Re: Jon Runyan
Why would we spend the money when we could get a younger guy in the draft? Besides, he's too old.

Re: Jon Runyan
Don't mean to pick on you Soul - Skins, but this thread implies:
1) You aren't familiar w/the Skins free agent history in the Danny era 2) You aren't familiar w/the warpath history of "vet minimum" threads Hence, whether either of the above is true, this thread was doomed based on these two factors. I was hoping the thread might be about the Iggles old free agents, Dawkins, Thomas & Runyon, & what they'll do w/them. I can't believe Dawkins is 35, that guy still plays like he's 25. If I were the iggles gm, I'd look to keep those guys & sign them to 2 year deals if possible. They have W. Justice waiting in the wings to play LT, remember Usi beat him for 6 sacks couple years ago! they also have the #21 & 28 picks, it'd be sweet if they'd deal them for #13, but not likely. |
Re: Jon Runyan
This is the type of move a team would make if it believes it is one player away. We don't need a band-aid, we need a commitment to get younger, stronger and better in the trenches. With that, I expect that our FO will go after another perimeter player.

Anyway, it was just a suggestion. Everybody RELAX. WTF. Unfamiliar? Shit. The Skins are my life. |

Re: Jon Runyan

We don't really need or want an old, notoriously dirty player. Dallas maybe, the Skins, no. Everybody sells their soul nowdays. Brian Mitchell, Trotter, Kalu, Shawn Barber. It's all about the money. |

or you could throw batteries packed in snowballs....Runyan would be used to that from his Philly days. What a rich fan tradition in Philly... |
