Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
Go Cards! Hope it's a good game.

Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
Go Cards....just hope Warner takes care of the ball and not fumble at the mere sight of a Steeler defender coming at him. Steelers will be coming, all day long.
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
Anyone tuning in for the 5+ hours of pre-game coverage? Talk about overkill.
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
No way. There's a CAPS game on at 12:30 thats my pre-game. I will watch some after that.
And yes Warner has to have his best day against that D. They will bring the heat. Hope they can get the Edge going a bit and maybe catch them off guard quickly. With Fitz and Boldin if he has a little time he has the arm and the play makers to strike fast. |
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
Yeah I agree the game will come down to whether Warner can handle the Steelers' blitz. If he can the Cards have a great shot, if not it could get ugly.

Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
Go Cards, Grimm, Whisenhunt and Adrian Wilson!!

Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
The first little bit of pre-game I caught and Journey was on stage, new lead singer (Arnel Pineda) this kid is good. Then the broadcaster after they played don't stop belivin...clueless. This is the 2nd singer of the band that replaces the original...huh?
He forgot about Gregg Rolie that was the original lead singer/founder of the band, Augeri & Soto. I'm sure Perry got a laugh, I sure did. I don't think he had ever heard of Journey prior to tonight. I sure hope the BOSS isn't the highlight of the evening...? Lets get the game on already! |

That's the bottom line. GO CARDS! |
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
Well i'm preparing myself for the disappointing game. My heart says the Cards are contenders but my head says they're pretenders. We'll see...

Hey 53. Prediction on the score today? |
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
That was a good challenge by Whisenhunt

Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
This is going to be ugly for Arizona I'm sorry, but you don't win games with just passing. Unless the Arizona defense steps up then we're going to see a blowout. Kudos though to DRC that touchdown saving play was amazing.

never mind. WTF was that! 100 yards. Damn! |
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
Did the Steelers call the Redskins for advice inside the 5? They're worse than us.
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
Redskins getting some press with the super ad. Anyone know who that player was from the Saints?
Anyone tuning in for the 5+ hours of pre-game coverage? Talk about overkill.
Only overkill cuz we're not in it. Otherwise, we'd be glued down, 10+ hours, in a drunken glory day-orgy of highlights, interviews, analysis of 17-18-22-26, Gibbs I & II, Hogs, Diesel, a HOF '08 revisit. Hell we'd even love Snyder for a day and it still wouldn't have been enough. But in the meantime, I'm down with you, this pre-game stuff, covered by the entire NBC payroll, is flat out overkill. I only lasted an hour. |

AZ giving this away

Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
That's a man!! C'mon Cards shock the world!!
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
it could happen
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
Man screw O-Line, with the way Docket's playing I want Vinny to get me a DT for Easter. Still if the Steelers had an O-Line they would have been able to put this game away ages ago with the ground game. It's only because they got a top notch QB and a God like defense that they're beating the Cardinals.
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
Wow, that play by James Harrison was bullshit, I kind of hope the Steelers lose now. Totally classless. Harrison fails at humanity. My God. Thats like one step below the Haynesworth face stomp.

Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
Fitzgerald is a MFing beast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
OMG what a play
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
Yeah Baby!!!!!
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
Well Vinny might be inspired to draft a few more skilled players but at least Harrison isn't going to get a Super Bowl ring :D I think it's now safe to say though that Larry Fitzgerald is going to be the Jerry Rice of our generation.

|

You'll probably see it eventually but on a punt a smaller guy chop blocked him and Harrison while still standing up started with a punch in the back on his shoulder pads, then when he got up he grabbed him, punched him, then pushed him back. He basically found a guy smaller then him and played it off like he was some bad ass. One of the worst displays of sportsmanship I've ever seen. |
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
I want an Adrian Wilson interception to end the game.
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIII Game Day thread
