Re: Draft Prospects By Position
Ron Brace, Vance Walker, and Dorell Scott look pretty good at DT in the mid rounds.

orakpo...

Re: Draft Prospects By Position
Some good OT prospects who are not top 10. Fenuki Tupou - Raphael Nguti - Sebastion Vullmer - Will Beatty - Jamon Meridith.

Re: Draft Prospects By Position
Whats wrong with a top ten OT?

Re: Draft Prospects By Position
this is way off, its position rankings dont even have underclassmen

Re: Draft Prospects By Position
This part scares me:
"Brian Cushing showed potential his first few years at USC. He was always held back by injuries." We don't need another guy who can't get on the field. |

beatty is in the top 10! he has a good chance of going in late 1st round and he will deffinitly be gone in the 2nd! hes probably #6 behind a. smith, monroe, j.smith, oher and britton. he will drafted high like duane brown last year. |

Nothing. But we do have more than one pick and there's no guarantee that we won't take a defensive player with the #1 pick. Hopefully we get some value with our later picks also. |

He is a top 10 OT, but I was refering to a top 10 pick. |
Re: Draft Prospects By Position
Seems Alex Boone has a drinking problem. His stock will more than likely fall. He was arrested for public intoxication. Admits he's had a problem since he was 8 years old.

Re: Draft Prospects By Position
Brandon Swain of West Texas A&M looks like a good mid-round prospect at DE and Cornelius Lewis of Tennesee State at OT in the later rounds or as an UDFA.

Re: Draft Prospects By Position
There's a couple of good prospects in the later rounds or as UDFA's in this list at DT and O-Line. Rivals.com College Football - NFL Draft: Top 20 small-college prospects

Good link 53. I can see us picking up Joe Bell , Sammie Hill, or John Faletoese with some later picks. With any luck (for us) these guys will not get drafted. They're all worth an invitation at the least. Do I think that Joe Bell could replace Jansen at RT? Someone is going to. I see that Russ Grim was able to put together a damn good line in Arizona with a few undrafted guys and some retreads. At the very least they're Camp Fodder. |
Re: Draft Prospects By Position
Thanks Tramp. If we're smart we may be able to get some quality guys despite not having many picks.

Re: Draft Prospects By Position
As usual, we need more draft picks. I'm hoping we'll trade down and get a second round pick and at least another third round pick. Then, I hope we get at least two quality Offensive Linemen out of those three picks.
Players I love: Phil Loadholt, OK, 6-8 337. He's played great whenever I've seen him play (admittedly, on TV only). He played LT in college, but I think he's the answer for us at RT. Alex Mack, Cal, 6-5 300. He's a Center which is a secondary need for us at this time, IMHO. Nevertheless, I love the way this guy plays football. I'd target him as the second OL we pick. Players I like: Max Unger, Oregon, 6-5 300. Strong, tough, and quick. Scouts say he could play any position on the line. That's a true luxury for a team. I just like the way he plays. Like Mack, he's a guy I'd like with our second selection of the draft. He may even make more sense for us than Mack. Alex Boone, Ohio State, 6-8 313. He's a good pass protector and I think he could play RT for us. He played LT in college. With our third pick in the first three rounds, I'd take a LB or DE. The LB position seems to be pretty deep this year, so we might be able to get a good LB in the third round. I'm not nearly as impressed with the DE talent this year. |
Re: Draft Prospects By Position
Eugene - Virginia - OT

Unger is good but they tore him up at the Senior Bowl. Mack faired a little better from what I hear. I like Phil Loadholt and think he could do something good in the NFL but I'm not sold on him anymore. There are other players I think are better than him that could go after him. Alex Boone has drinking problems from what I hear and we don't need that. |
Re: Draft Prospects By Position
There's a couple of pretty good clips about Mack on youtube. Getting To Know Alex Mack - and - Alex Mack Profile.
