yeah, like get depth at TE... |
Re: Redskins needs: Money doesn't buy you everything
HAHA I love the picture of Zorn. Hilarious.
But seriously this article has been in written about a million times by many different journalists, posters on this site, my younger brother, etc. Thanks for the obvious... |
Re: Redskins needs: Money doesn't buy you everything
Why does everyone HATE the Redskins!! I get so tired of this crap, I know people don't like DS but Come on.
"Quarterback: Campbell is in his fifth season, and it's time he makes a leap forward. He looked good the first half of last season but positively ordinary down the stretch -- with five touchdowns and six interceptions his final eight games. Contrast that to the first half of the season when he had no interceptions. Todd Collins is solid as the backup. " Looks like they are bashing JC, so if we trade for Cutler then what??? They would just say the skins are trying to buy a Championship! Also we know our WR'S have to step up this season or else we will be right back at the bottom on offense. |
Re: Redskins needs: Money doesn't buy you everything
That article was less than obvious. If you are barely a casual team, you know all of what it said and more. We need the draft so there is some real news. Or maybe a trade/pick up????

Re: Redskins needs: Money doesn't buy you everything
Can someone tell me how i can get that picture as my avatar?
|
Re: Redskins needs: Money doesn't buy you everything
The picture of Zorn is friggin hilarious. But the article is total crap. Normally I like Clark Judge. This one is an utter FAIL.

I couldn't agree more. Need a starter at QB? Need depth at TE? |

Seriously...talk about simple regurgitation. I know in-season these national guys have trouble doing the research to have original opinions but this time of year they should really be doing serious research when putting out content like this. That's the least thought I could imagine for a piece like that. Blah blah too blah money...holes here...JC step up blah Snyder fires...likes to win blah blah blah. Rinse repeat. |
Re: Redskins needs: Money doesn't buy you everything
Ugh... what's even worse is that any competent football wise journalist/commentator needs to watch just 8 games worth of tape. Our second 8 games show without any shadow of a doubt that our offensive struggles trace straight back to the OLine. Couldn't run the ball?...CP wasn't hurt, there were no holes. JC looked ordinary?...really?...he looked flat on his ass or running for his life to me.

YEah it rally isn't rocket science. We're 10-6 at worst last year with a decent line. I challenge anyone to argue that. That's not to say that there weren't other places where improvment could have been made, even major improvements, but, plain and simple, our line lost us at least 2 total games and maybe more. Our performances at the beginning of the year last season were riddled with holes yet we won games. Then, at the time when a team trying to put it all together and patch those schematic/chemistry holes should be making progress and getting better, our linemen became close to the worst line in football. At best ineffective and at worst plain awful they derailed a playoff season. GIve us the 10th best line in football last year and imagine how it opens our offense up. It's why we're all dying to draft a Tackle with a pulse. Everyone on the Path arguing about who our QB should be or about our depth at LB or even who plays LDE don't realize that those are arguments to be had once our OLine, the freaking foundation of the offense, is back on solid ground. Until then it doesn't matter if Campbell, Cutler, Elway, Montana or Brady is the QB. None of them brings home a winning record with our OLine last year. The fact that JC didn't end up dead or throwing 17 ints in the second half actually encourages me some. It can't get worse for him this year....can it? |

1) Santana Moss explodes out of the gate, then fades as the year goes on 2) Chris Cooley posts a career low catch %, and a career high in fumbles 3) Stephon Heyer and Jason Fabini actually start two games as a tackle tandem. 4) We draft three rookie receving targets, and they are comically slow to develop. 5) Randy Thomas either struggles with the new system, or suffers immense physical decline 6) Casey Rabach Yeah, I'd say we're in for a better year offensively in 09. |

Over what our line has been in the past (2005 and 2006), probably more than two games. |
Re: Redskins needs: Money doesn't buy you everything
This is too funny (I'm changing subjects real quick), JJ is allowing his coach to "speak"? I didn't know Wade had a any gonads left for JJ to take away.

True...it's not magic that in his first 3 yars we rarely saw JC on the run then in the second half alst year he was ALWAYS making plays with his feet. He HAD to. |

I thought that that's how the "gag" was applied. |
