Posts Your Draft Predictions
Not what you want to have happen, what you think will happen. This can relate to anything from weather or not Mel Kiper decides not to gel his hair, the guy in the aisle seat on the fifth row buying a hot dog in the first round, or Aaron Curry getting drafted by the Bungals.
As for my prediction. I predict the Seahawks draft Mark Sanchez and the Redskins trade for him after the fact with the 13th pick, their 3rd round pick, and a 2010 first rounder. Jason Campbell gets traded to the Jets for a fourth round pick. |

Edit - I predict we trade up with the Seahawks. We take Sanchez and they get our 1st rounder this year and next year, and our 3rd this year. Then, we turn around and trade Sanchez to Denver for both their 1st rounders this year. We end up with Orakpo and _____? |
Re: Posts Your Draft Predictions
The Rams shock everybody and take Sanchez. I exhale and crack a beer.

They are interested, so that wouldn't shock me. Damage control part II with JC is what concerns me. |
Re: Posts Your Draft Predictions
I predict The Redskins trade completely out of the first round and pick up multiple picks this year and next. With one of those late round picks, wedraft a QB that makes everybody go, HUH?!

Re: Posts Your Draft Predictions
Not in the order that I would like them to happen, but in the order I think they will.
1. Redskins trade '09 1st and 3rd and '10 2nd to Jacksonville to draft Sanchez. They trade Campbell to the Jets for '09 3rd round pick and conditional 5th in '10. 2. Redskins trade down from #13 with the Jets or Bucs who come up to get Freeman picking up a lower 1st and a 4th this year or a 1st this year and a 2nd next year. 3. Redskins stay at #13 and draft Orapko, Ayers or Maualuga. |

Re: Posts Your Draft Predictions
Dirtbag, i have a similar prediction but I think Seattle does the smart thing and drafts an elite Tackle.
At 5, the Browns will draft Sanchez and let the Jets and Skins know that they can have either Quinn or Sanchez. The Skins send the #13, Fred Davis, our 3rd round pick this year and 2nd round pick next year for Sanchez. The Skins then attempt to trade Jason Campbell to the Jets, but the Jets opt instead to send their 1st round pick to the Browns for Quinn. The Browns decide they don't want to take a gamble with Josh Freeman, so they give us our 3rd rounder back in exchange for Jason Campbell. |

1) Redskins stay at #13 and draft Maualuga
2) Redskins trade down and take highest grade on board - Alex Mack. Pick up DE or LB with pick from tradedown. |

Featuring BigHairedAristocrat, a 1700's British Judge, trying to find his way back in time using a telephone booth. Also featuring the star quarterback of the A+ sports film, The Replacements. |

Oh yeah I got the blackberry and I have key people set up around the country to text me as the day goes on...but it's still not the same Anyhow...I believe we're going USC. But maybe that's because I've spent the last couple of weeks talking almost exclusively to USC guys it's as if no other schools exist. Mark Sanchez if we trade up, Brian Cushing if we stay at 13, Maualuga or Matthews if we trade down. |

Re: Posts Your Draft Predictions
Peter King is reporting that the Patriots are trying to move up (into the top 10), possibly to land a "surprise" player. Jacksonville declined the Patriots 1st and 2nd round picks (23rd and 47th overall). If the player the Patriots want falls to 13 and we have been unable to trade up for Sanchez, maybe we can get the same deal. The Patriots offer was 300 pts short of the Jags spot based on the old draft value chart, but a close match to the skins pick. So if we're unable to trade for Sanchez, we may have a trade down partner as well.
Also, i'll throw another, less plausible, scenario out there: The Lions select Stafford with the 1st overall pick and Michael Oher is on the board when we pick at 13, the Lions trade their other 1st and 2nd round pick to us (#20 and #33) for our 13, Fred Davis, and Ladell Betts. With those picks, along with our natural picks, the Skins first three rounds go as follows: 1, #20 (From Detroit) - William Beaty, OT, CONN 2, #33 (From Detroit) - Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech 3, #80 (Natural Pick) - Greg Toler, CB, St. Pauls 5, #150 (Natural Pick)- Antone Smith, RB, Florida State 6, #186 (Natural Pick)- Kaluka Maiava, OLB, USC 7, #243 (Natural Pick)- Edwin Williams, C, Maryland Sunday evening, Marcus Washington is resigned and Jason Campbell receives a 3 year, 24M extension with 16M garaunteed. Monday Morning, the Redskins.com Headline Reads "Snyder: Haha! Fooled ya, Suckers!" |

No that was me. But I didn't think we'd ever get him, I just put it up there to add another name to the discussion I guess. I'm sure we probably considered him at some point, especially in a trade down but nothing serious |

Re: Posts Your Draft Predictions
We trade our 1st, this years third and next years third to the Chiefs for Sanchez.
We trade Campbell to Tampa Bay for next year's third. Sanchez leads the league in interceptions. Defense ranked in the bottom ten (turnovers translate into poor defensive stats). Zorn fired. A real GM hired. Dallas wins the Super Bowl. Go Danny and Vinny!!!! |

1) Mel's hair will be perfectly styled and several ads for men's hair care and Just for Men will run through the first half of the first round on ESPN.
2) Curry will go to KC, not Tyson Jackson and McShay will get the first "I told you so" in on Mel. This will surely be a tit-for-tat throughout the day and wil get old before the end of the first round. 3) Jets fans will boo no matter who the Jets pick. 4) From 5pm on all of us will be watching, and most of us will be relieved when Sanchez doesn't wind up in DC. We'll either trade down or get Orakpo or Oher. 5) Then the "How do we mend fences with JC" threads start. |
Man you are determined to get rid of Davis and Betts, aren't you? lol. Wouldn't we be giving up a lot?
LOL, its nothing personal, but we don't have draft picks and the Browns need a starting TE after trading Winslow and the Lions remaining offensive needs (OT, TE and RB) could all be filled by making that trade with us. As to whether the price would be too high for us, i dont think so. We need more explosiveness at the RB position and Betts doesnt provide that. Davis was drafted in the mid-second round last year and while he has enormous potential, he hasnt proven anything yet. I'd say our 13, a 30year old running back and Fred Davis is a fairly even trade to pick up the 20 and 33. |
