Just talked to my buddy and there is a pretty good chance we'll be able to get tickets to game 2. Even if I end up having to watch every game at home it will be sweet.

I've found the experience more pleasurable ever since I put up my 37 inch Sharp AQUOS LCD. Watching the Rangers get punished in HD is heavenly. Now time to put the screws to Crosby and Malkin.

Man oh man I can't wait for this series. Should be great. That game last night was nuts! Smokin' Al Koken called the Federov goal right before it happened too.

I like our odds. Varlamov is red-hot, and we've got great momentum. Home ice is nice too.

Well I posted my Rangers/Caps thoughts in the other thread:

I am VERY excited for this series though. Man it's going to be a good series, I don't even know where to begin with it, personally I look at them as pretty similar teams with some very impressive top end talent, defenseman that can score and goaltending that can be good. There are so many weapons on both teams, I honestly don't know what to think about the series other than it should be awesome.

I grew up in a strictly football and basketball household and as such have never been much of a hockey guy, but I have to admit to being drawn in by this series (interestingly I called my dad this week, who to my knowledge had never seen a hockey game in his life, only to find he had been following it closely too).

I've followed the caps very closely my entire life. Going to caps game back in the day was similar to going to farm team baseball games, people were just there. I love how this young team of stars has built a fan base up and put some money in Ted's pockets. It seems that I see people wearing caps jerseys all over the place now. Anyway, I'll be at game 1 tomorrow wearing my old school Dale Hunter jersey. Hope yo see you all there!

For anyone who went to the game on Saturday - I'm going tonight with 3 friends, 2 of which are pens fans. How much crap should they expect to get? Are we talking about a lot of arguing and trash talking, or should they expect to come home bloodied and bashed?
Knowing them I don't think they'll start s*** unless they end up getting trashed, but since it's a Monday night I doubt they will. I just want to be able to enjoy the game and not feel like I'm going to need to try to break up a fight every 5 minutes, especially since this is the first playoff game I've ever been to.

man i am jealous, should be a great atmosphere and intense game.

i wouldnt worry too much about caps fans being too rowdy, unless your pens friends like trash talk and playing up a crowd im sure no violence will break out. the nail that sticks out gets hammered down.

If your friends walk into the Phone Booth sporting Pens gear, I don't imagine you'll have to say a word to them. The crowd will handle that for you. As long they know what they're in for and stay cool, everyone should have fun. However I am hoping your buddies walk out of there tonight really disappointed with the outcome.

Ovie with the hatter and Varly really played well. I thought the Caps were outplayed a lot but Varly was stout. Most of their goals were just jammers. Caps gotta step the defense up and take Pitt out their flow more.

That was the 2nd game I went to this season. Both times I sat in section 415 (the same section as The Horn Guy) and both times I saw Ovie score a freaking hat trick!!! I need season tickets!

I just chilled @ the green turtle and was surrounded by caps fans. At one point during the game they cut off penguins fans... its was great.

Yeah Crosby is getting dangerously close to deserving the little bitch view that so many have of him. He has no clue how to talk to the media and not come off smug, whiny or superior. Game 2 was incredible. Ovechkin is the master of the puck. Glad the Caps put away the Blueshirts in seven. The airwaves in NYC got a little headstrong after Games 1 and 2. Ranger fans were already looking ahead to the next round. The Caps exposed the Rangers and posted a great comeback in the series. I'm a Devil fan (Boy did we lose in a horrific fashion) but I'll jump on the Cap bandwagon now.
