Big C 09-23-2004 06:08 PM

friggen christ. barrow best play now

RedskinRat 09-23-2004 06:12 PM

Not the best news but we shall overcome.

JWsleep 09-23-2004 06:34 PM

Jeez. And against Dallas, no less.

la73hof 09-23-2004 06:38 PM
Jeez. And against Dallas, no less.
Bill Parcells made an agreement eith LA in which BP pays for LA's fine if LA would sit this game out

PSUskinsfan11 09-23-2004 06:45 PM

This is terrible. Looks like with LaVar, Barrow, and Daniels out I am starting George at RB this week in my fantasy league. :bang

Redskins_P 09-23-2004 07:01 PM

Looks like Lemar Marshall will start for him.

Thank God it's only two weeks!

Riggo44 09-23-2004 07:02 PM

NOOOOO!!! :banghead: :dallas:

Skins fan 44 09-23-2004 07:37 PM

Better now then in the stretch run. I know every game counts but hopefully we can get players to step up. At least it is not a season ending injury.

it's only thursday, maybe some more of our players can get in a surgery or two before next monday....

Shane 09-23-2004 08:38 PM

We get a chance to see what Lemar Marshall can do. I'll bet he'll be ready and step up to meet the challenge.

Hopefully LaVar can be back in two weeks. Dallas and Cleveland aren't offensive juggernauts, but we will need some of his motor when we're chasing down Jamal Lewis against Baltimore.

I'd expect to see a lot of nickel packages this Monday anyway. With Testaverde averaging 42 attempts a game, we will have to be prepared.

Big C 09-23-2004 08:55 PM

i had the smae injury arrington has now, torn meniscus, it hurts liek a bitch

That Guy 09-23-2004 09:11 PM

man, i guess sean is gonna have to step up and take LAs role of ending careers this week...

Winskins 09-23-2004 11:24 PM

It should make for an interesting game. I don't really remember too much about Lemar Marshall. Is there anyone here (maybe Joecrisp) who could give me a little more information about him.

I think that even with these injuries that we are not in too bad of a shape. Obviously losing Arrington for even a short period of time is significant, but look at how other players have filled in. Antonio Pierce has done an outstanding job as a substitution for the projected starting MLB, Mike Barrow. Ramsey showed that he still has that incredible arm and drive making ability that made him so popular in Washington last season (even though he did make some mental mistakes). Finally, the loss of Jansen, who is an outstanding player, hasn't wreaked as much havoc on out line as most of us would have thought.

Bottomline: We have plenty of injuries, but we also have people who are willing to step up and fill in. The games might be harder fought w/o some of our stars, but nevertheless, the 'skins still have more than a fighting shot against these teams in the following weeks.

LET'S BEAT DALLAS!!!!!!

aehs77 09-24-2004 12:46 AM

i'm gonna guess that he'll be back for the browns game. it's possible to come back from that surgery in a week

SmootSmack 09-24-2004 01:21 AM

Hopefully Lemar will channel the spirit (and skills) of another Marshall, Wilbur

SKINSnCANES 09-24-2004 02:40 AM

anyone know what the status of barrow is?

Luxorreb 09-24-2004 06:49 AM

Maybe Arrington will have enough free time in the next few weeks to get in the heads of the OFFENSE! Cheers to a speed recovery by Arrington and may Dallas lose big by the way of our offense!

MTK 09-24-2004 08:33 AM

We've managed to get through some injuries so far but they're starting to pile up. Losing Arrington is going to hurt let's not kid ourselves. Anytime you lose a playmaker with this athleticism it's going to leave a void in the defense. I hope Marshall can fill in and do a solid job.

Gmanc711 09-24-2004 08:37 AM

Williams will put Marshal in a position to succeed. Hes no LaVar Arrington, but hopefully he will be in the right places, at the right times so we dont miss a beat.

SUNRA 09-24-2004 10:56 AM

My only question to Lavar is why now? This knee was nagging him at the beginning of preseason. It never really healed to the point where he could practice consistently. I think he didn't want to undergoe surgery but it that's where we are right now.

Redskins_P 09-24-2004 11:26 AM

Yeah, if he would've had surgery during the preseason, then this wouldn't be an issue this week. Who knows? Maybe it just blew up on him all of a sudden.

MTK 09-24-2004 11:34 AM

Knee injuries can be funny like that. Arrington said the knee was doing great until Wed night when it blew up on him out of nowhere.

I have a bum knee left over from high school when I sprained it a couple of times in football. Every once in a while it will just swell up like a grapefruit for no apparent reason, I'll ice it down for a few days and it goes away. Weird.

Defensewins 09-24-2004 01:00 PM

His knee must bothering him (pain) in order to have surgery during the season. Other wise if it was just swelling he would play with it and get the surgery at the end of the season.
