Four score minus thirteen years ago The Ego brought forth through these pipelines a new message board, conceived in Albany, and dedicated to the proposition that all Redskins fans across the world have a forum to share their passion for the Washington Redskins.

Now we embark on another training camp, testing whether this team, or any team so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. . The world will little note, nor long remember what we post here, but it can never forget “and Riggins will go all the way unless Blackwood can catch him…”

It’s that time of year again. It’s time for another season of Redskins football, which means another season of Redskins discussion on TheWarpath.net. It’s that magical time of year where Dmek encourages more plays to the right, Firstdown can spell Ifeanyi Ohalete, saden implores the team to stay humble after a win, Schneed wants to hug everyone after a touchdown, and SmootSmack says “I agree with Miller101.”

And, of course, we welcome this year’s rookie class. For those of you new to this, there is nothing like going through a season on the Warpath. Even if you’ve been on other message boards, there is none like this one. From Daseal’s big-picture critiques to GTripp’s play-by-play dissection the information delivered here during the regular season is unmatched. There is always someone to share your joys and agonies with, to bounce ideas off of, and learn a little something about football and the Redskins. You will never watch or think about Redskins games the same after being part of The Warpath during the season.

I guess I will take this opportunity to awaken myself from my Redskin slumber. You know, as one of the board's most underrated and beloved posters I find that many of you out there under utilize the influence I have here.
For those of you who are new, the mods aren't really the ones who run the site, just like Vinny isn't really the Skin's GM. I was the one whispering in Matty's ear that the people needed a Redskins site. I was the one who lured Fred Smoot back to the Skins just so TAFKAS could become SmootSmack once more. I caused the board to crash that fateful day, and I brought it forth once more, rising from the internet ashes like a Phoenix. I am the law, and as the law, I officially approve this message and will allow for one, only one, dumb post or stupid thread to be made today.

For the newbs I just have one thing to say: have a take and don't suck.

Actually the same can be said of the vets too. ;)

Another season on the way, which means gameday chats, the server getting overrun at some point, hater-aid vs. kool-aid battles, weekly Q&A sessions with ex-Redskin Tony McGee, the ultimate chicken or the egg discussion (play calling vs. execution), fantasy football, game ball polls, etc, etc.

I'm brushing off the jerseys and the plasma is ready to rock! Can't believe it's time for some football!

NASCAR what's that? When I read SS I visualized Abe Lincoln in a football helmet with a Pabst Blue Ribbon in his hand. Some people may think football fans are nuts. I can't speak for everyone else, but I never claimed to be sane.

As I've said for a long time, there are only two games that I really care about, and then there are the NJG and Filth-a-delphia.

Cripple Romo and stomp his D-line into the ground. I go to the cemetary to talk smack to Dallas fans.
