SUNRA 10-03-2004 04:44 PM

Worst team in terms of your personal feelings or worst in somebody else's view? The last time I looked the Redskins have the 1# Defense against the run. So please enlighten me. Don't turn your back on team know that we are in the hole. Hell, we were 0-5 and won the next 5, so I'm not worrying at all.

x44x 10-03-2004 04:45 PM

redskins are always the best team.

x44x 10-03-2004 04:45 PM

period

aehs77 10-03-2004 04:46 PM

tampa i only say that cause the skins beat them and they suck right now

monk81 10-03-2004 04:57 PM

Well the Redskins BEAT Tampon Bay so we are at least better than them......And then there's the Dolphins..........and the Cardinals (at least we score 16 pts).........

so at least the Redskins aren't the WORST.........

Gmanc711 10-03-2004 04:58 PM

The Skins arent close to the worst team. Well they are closer than they should be, but the 49ers, Cardianls and Dolphins are all far worse. The only teams on the list that might be better are the Bears and Cheifs.

joecrisp 10-03-2004 05:03 PM

Way too early to turn your backs on the Skins, folks. This team will get better as Gibbs learns to manage the clock and timeouts. That's one thing that has killed this team in the past two games. There's enough talented players on this team to turn this thing around, once Gibbs knocks some of the rust off. When the defense gets Arrington, Barrow and Daniels back, and the offense jells, this will be a tough team to beat. For the most part, this team has been beating itself, and I'm sure Joe Gibbs knows he is responsible for a large part of that. It won't be that way for long...

That Guy 10-03-2004 05:07 PM

whoever said skins is an idiot :P if he's not, please explain why the 49ers and cards are better than us please.

monk81 10-03-2004 05:15 PM
whoever said skins is an idiot :P if he's not, please explain why the 49ers and cards are better than us please.
My point in making the poll was to show everyone that while we are 1-3 we aren't the worst team in the league, but after reading the postgame comments you'd think we were. :silly: The Redskins need to cut out the MISTAKES and we need to give the coaching staff some time. The defense has played pretty well considering Arrington and Daniels are out. I think Joe Gibbs is still tinkering with the offense... we might not have the personnel to run the plays Joe wants...it may take another year (SIGH) another draft (SIGH)...............

P.S. Thank you for putting it int he poll format....I didn't see the options that the FAQ talked about, perhaps I am not authorized, and maybe it's the moderators ony that can do the polls????????????/
whoever said skins is an idiot :P if he's not, please explain why the 49ers and cards are better than us please.
Arizona is not supposed to be a good team, yet they could easily have a record as good as the Skins and they may have if the beat New Orleans. They gave New England a fit, that game was closer than the final score. The 49ers, yes they are bad, this is not a surprise, what is a surprise though is that the Skins are 1-3 and could easily be 0-4.

Yet again the Skins are a 'paper tiger' all of this talent on paper yet, the song remains the same, cannot win the close games. Of all of those teams only Washington and the Chiefs were thought of by the experts to be 'play-off' caliber teams before the season started.

What do you think is going to happen with the 24-7 sports media cylce, when already last week you had the idiot Mike Greenberg on the Mike-n-Mike show posing the question has the game passed, Gibbs by? Do you think it is going to get any easier? This is going to be a crucible, IF and it is a big if, the team turns it around they will be much stronger, otherwise the team will implode. I for one don't think they will turn it around.

I guess a bigger disappointment would be more appropriate then "Worst Team", but I am tired of wasting my Sunday's watching this and was angry when I voted.

monk81 10-03-2004 05:47 PM

So I guess we have a case of New England Patriot envy........they're 18-0

DirtBagZ 10-03-2004 05:50 PM

Since I got ripped for being the first to vote for the Redskins, who are the other two?

skinsguy 10-03-2004 06:09 PM

Didn't the PatiROTS start off last season with a bad record? Wasn't it something like 1- 3? We were the last team to beat them last year!

Gmanc711 10-03-2004 06:20 PM

They were 1-2 , then 2-2. Then 14-2. The first year they won the Superbowl they started off 1-3.

Daseal 10-03-2004 07:54 PM

Jesus, Cards beat the hell out of NO.

celts32 10-03-2004 09:48 PM

I voted Redskins...I don't really believe it, just really frustrated tonight.

skinsfanthru&thru 10-04-2004 12:07 AM

This is kinda pathetic that 8 skins fans on this site think we are the worst team in the league!! It's been 4 F-ING games u guys and we've lost our 3 games by a grand total of 13 points. I'm hoping this is mostly frustration and I may be overreacting but as a long time skins fan it pisses me off when I see supposed fans acting like all is lost after one quarter of the season and we've still got 12 regular season games to go and all we need is for the offense to somewhat catch up to the defense with their chemistry.

wolfeskins 10-04-2004 12:17 AM

it's not 4 f-ing games that got some of us pissed off, it's 12 f-ing years

skinsfanthru&thru 10-04-2004 12:32 AM

this collection of players and coaches has nothing to do with the last 12 years of dissapointment. We knew there were gonna be some possible rough spots for the team especially early on but if I remember correctly before training camp the big worry was about the defense. I'm as frustrated as the next guy about whats happened to the team the last 3 weeks but I truly believe that once the team becomes more coordinated with each other then we will be doing pretty darn well. But even with how things have gone the last 3 weeks and how frustrated we might be, there is absolutely no way anyone here could make anything even close to a strong argument that the skins r worse than the dolphins, the bucs, the 49ers, or bills.

Redskins_P 10-04-2004 12:55 AM

I voted for Miami. They can't even score a TD. Now that's pretty frickin bad. I think the problem with the Skins is simply mental mistakes. We keep shootin ourselves in the foot.

JWsleep 10-04-2004 02:32 AM

I voted for the niners, because , man, they look weak, and they are in cap hell.

Wolfeskins, I feel your pain. I sat in a Brooklyn sportbar while joyous Giants and Eagles fans sarcastically sang hail to the redskins and chanted "Gibbs, Gibbs, Gibbs!" as we lost to the Browns. And there was nothing I could say. How long, o Lord, how long????

MTK 10-04-2004 08:28 AM

The Skins aren't even close to being the worst team in the league, but hey, that's just my opinion.

redrock-skins 10-04-2004 02:08 PM

Did anyone watch the 49er's last night or this season? How the Skins get 8 votes (as of today) is beyond me! :smashfrea

SkinsRock 10-04-2004 02:17 PM

Joe - While I completely understand where you are coming from, like a lot of Skins fans, I know that I'm sick and tired of saying/hearing "when this happens or when that happens, they will be great". They have won one and lost 3 close games that they should have won....games that could have easily gone the other way if just one or two plays happened differently. Hopefully we will be on the winning end of a couple of these very soon...

That Guy 10-04-2004 07:28 PM

i saw the 49ers... it wasn't nearly as close as the score either... just bad...

Gmanc711 10-04-2004 07:35 PM

The 49ers and Dolphins are by far the worst teams, by far. Does anyone else feel bad for Dave Wandstet?? Hes defintley gonna get canned this year, and he has absolutley nothing to work with.

That Guy 10-04-2004 07:53 PM

wandstet helped dig his hole though didn't he?

he's the GM right? he hasn't been able to find a reasonable QB and stick with him, he didn't get any depth at RB or any WRs, and he centered the offense around abusing a shy whack job (though a very talented whack job) that couldn't stand the abuse he got...

he's a good coach, horrible GM...
