Key to beating the ravens.
as i saw it last night was to put 4 wrs on the field and when you run,run right at ray lewis.did you guys notice that last night?remember that brunnel is familar with the ravens d,having been the jags qb all those years.green was throwing passes last night where the pass was going to be caught by the chiefs wrs,or incomplete.if i saw that, you can bet the skins coaches saw it.would not surprise me if they do'nt do that and add a few trick plays like the wr reverse like he used to run with monk or the halfback option that byner used to toss.expect the unexpected, maybe even a fake punt or fg.
what the hell happens when you run right at Ray Lewis?? i didnt watch the game, but sounds like utter suicide to me.
that 4WR stuff sounds awfully uh, ["Gator-Like"] to me.... |
Ray Lewis got schooled all game. All he did was complain that they were doubling him, when most of the time they weren't. I remember at least two times where Priest ran right next to him and he didn't see him. He needs to kill someone else in a crowded disco to get his fire back.
hmm. im guessing if they were using 4wrs, they didnt have a fullback to clear the way huh..
Perfect for us. Not like we ever get the ball to Cooley anyhow =p
i meant to lead Portis. and we better get the ball in Cooley's hands, out in the flat!
You beat the Ravens by not giving them short fields on offense. The Ravens are not going to march the ball down the field 80 yards for a TD more than once a game against a good defense but they can score if they keep getting the ball on turnovers or if they play a field position game and you let them keep getting the ball near midfield.
Point of emphasis#1: No turnovers on offense. Point of emphasis#2: Sound punt and kickoff coverages Point of emphasis#3: Any blitzes have to account for Jamal Lewis first. Point of emphasis#4: No missed tackles that give away first downs to a "challenged" offense. |
This sounds a lot like a gameplan thread-which I thought we weren't going to have this week, just to see if the curse of the gameplan thread was true
I agree, no offense but DELETE IT!!
How about scoring 20 points!! If we could a do that I know we can win!
the KC using #77 as a lead blocker (he's on the O line, but he's good enough to toss 2 guys out of the way while running through the hole ahead of holmes.. .we don't have the talent to do that... not even close right now)...
don't let them keep 8 guys within 5 yards of scrimage and we'll be alright... bit harder to do than it is to type ;) |
no keys, no gameplans and no predictions!

I think the curse is with the PREDICTION thread. lol seriously. No prediction thread this week. |

Ah, didn't see this post. :) |
We've got to put pressure on Boller. He sucks when under pressure. Does anyone remember last year's preseason game when we schooled the Ravens when the starters were in?
I want this one bad. I want this win for Gibbs. I want this win for the Skins. I want this win to shut up all those insecure Ravens fans. |
I want this one bad too, I have money riding on it.
I was driving thru downtown baltimore around 7pm yesterday and I saw like 200 people wearing Ravens jerseys...and about 150 of them were Ray Lewis'...lol
The Ravens really want this win and not only for their record. Baltimore hates D.C. and hates the Redskins. Again, they have a bit of an inferiority complex.
As someone that lives and works about halfway in between DC and Balt (Crofton and Columbia, MD, respectively), I am SO sick of the overabundance of Raven fans, when it should be split pretty much even. Because of that, I REALLY want this game....almost to "Dallas level"!
I never had a problem with the Ravens until enough of their fans hatred for the Redskins, and DC in general, drove me to feel almost the same way about their team. I'm not a big baseball guy, but I always followed the Orioles, but the obnoxious Ravens fans have pushed me to really want a baseball team in DC and I am now thrilled to have one and will be sporting Senators (or whatever they end up being called) gear when it is available... |
Anybody know the spread?
I'm done with betting the Skins for now.
I had them giving 3 at the Giants and giving 2 1/2 against the Browns, I thought both games were locks. Silly me. |
I believe it's a pick 'em Sunday night (with the over/under around 34).
Its -2 ,-2. I'm never beting the redskins again. They screwd me vs the Giants and Browns.
I was watching comcast lastnight and after the game on monday night, Ray Lewis was being interviewed and they asked him something like "How are you going to prepare your self for Portis so that he wont have a game like Priest Holmes did?" Ray just laughed it off as if to say are you serious!! Then said "Portis isn't Priest" as if he wont have to worry about him.
Man, I hope that Portis was at home and saw what I saw. That statement and Ray's demeanor should be enough motovation for someone who thinks that he is the best RB in the game to come out and take it to Lewis all night!!! |
The key to the game capping our nice drives with TDs. I agree w/ Riggo44 that if we score 20 points, our D will put us in a position to win.
definately need to finnish drives with scores, also stop turning the ball over, especially on our own end of the field.that just puts the d in a bad situation.
I'm sticking to my guns and I'm predicting one player on the Redskins will carry this team on defense and will finally give us a TD from the defense. We go into this game with the 1# defense against the run. Fred Smoot's time has come. The Ravens defense is not even in the top 5. Ray Lewis expends a lot of energy with running his mouth and all of the pep talks to his teammates are getting to be silly. Look for the Redskins to win 21, Ravens 10
no scores :P

Let Ray and his minions take Portis and the Skins lightly....then he'll learn when we run all over them... |
