I just heard on ESPN that both starting Giants CB are not going to play today.Wow maybe Campbell will find someone open?

I just hope that the Redskins just plaster the giants so that a week's worth of "ohh, this is not a contest, the Giants will win"...or "bottom line, Giants will win this game" will go down the drain. I feel as though we will surprise a lot of people this year and I hope it starts here.

Agreed. It would be a great confidence builder if we can look back at beating the Giants in their house over the rest of the season.

I was watching the NFL network this morning and Joe Thiesman and two other commentators were making there game picks. Joe picked the skins to beat the Giants and they almost laughed him off the set. I have got to hand it to Joe, he has become a real Redskins loyalist. I used to think of him as somewhat bitter at the Redskins. It seems that he has become another Larry Michael. Which is good with all the haters out there.

He said they would lose, because of the lack of a number one reciever. I think they will lose because of our great D-line play. I also think that we are going to see Mike Wiliiams come in as a tigh End in the running game that will over power Osi and Mathis. They will have to run away from Tuck, he is an animal.

That is good news, but wish it was both their Defensive Ends. O-Line must do a semi-decent job of pass protection but more important open holes for Portis to run. Their D line is pretty nasty.

Yes, they where saying there starting CB's were out last pm. This is a big opportunity for JC and the WR's to attack down field. Lets hope we can stand strong up front.

Same here. I bet AH is just chompin' at the bit to get this game going. After all the talk about whether he would slow down after getting the money, is it a challenge playing against a back as big as Jacobs...:blah: He plays mean anyway, but I have a feeling after all the talk and the long layoff, he's pumped to just knock the s**t out of somebody. It's good to see some youngblood on this team. I think Orakpo, Jarmon, Kelly, Mitchell.. etc. will bring a lot of enthusiasm to the team. AH and the rest of these newer guys don't care who the Giants are, they just want to go out and win. Last year doesn't matter. As CRedskinsRule says, "It's time to be who we think we are." HTTR!!!

Yeah, that's another thing, the rookie crop is looking fantastic with Orakpo, Jarmon, and the nice find in Mitchell. Also, the Horton find last year was great so here's hoping they develop into a great future crop of Skins players.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009

God I hope we win, I'm so sick of everyone picking the giants, and giving us no hope for the division. Losing plax will hurt them, Losing dawkins will hurt the eagles, and the boys were no better than us last year. We added Fat Al, Rack will be a beast and the offense has a 2nd year in Zorn's system so I think we have as good a chance as anyone.

Cowboys would be garbage without Witten. Romo's looking very average right now.

I'm no expert but I'd like to see more no-huddle, I think Campbell is an over-thinker and when their in the hurry up he does'nt have time to worry and has always played well.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009

He won't have time to over think today. He has to be quick, smart, and of course accurate!

Or he'll be on the ground.

I agree. They should mix it in every once in a while. Especially effective against good pass rushes. Won't be surprised if we go to it once in a while this season.

The Giants will never be more vulnerable as a team than they are today, look for the Skins to take advantage.

Still think so? 200 yards and 2 TDs with over a quarter left. His stats are really helping my fantasy team right about now;)

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009

There are 10 minutes left in the THIRD QUARTER in Detroit-New Orleans. I don't think I can get any of the Skins game until that one ends. So I could miss up to an hour.

I gotta get thru this eagles game yet, but it's a 28 point difference so hopefully they run alot to keep that clock moving.

For some reason I don't think this stupid Dallas game is gonna be over in 15 minutes. Unless we're playing on cbs..

so i guess the skin's have faith in mike williams if one of our OT's goes down..and they want to pass more with 5 wide recievers than Run with 4 rbs..and i'd sit renaldo all year anyway
