Time to move the F on...
Don't know about you but I'm ready to move on, week 1 is history, let's talk about the Rams. What is your prediction for this weekend?
|
Re: Time to move the F on...
Redskins kick ass and take names.

Re: Time to move the F on...
Yes, it is time to move on...
The team should remember the game from last year and thus not be "trapped." They also should be motivated to show more than they did last Sunday. I think the team will be focused, prepared, and ready to kick some tail. Redskins 27, Bills 7 |

If they are truly embarrassed by their performance, like some of them say, then yes, I think they will as well. Skins 31 Rams 13 |

I would like to agree with you. If the team didn't look like they did from last year, there'd be no problem. I'll move on when we beat a real team, not when we barely beat a bottom of the barrel squad of losers. Due to their past performances, I predict the Skins will play down to their competition. I look forward to being proven wrong. |

Redskins 27, Bills 7
The problem is I don't know if we lost last year to the Rams because it was a trap game or they where/are that bad of a team. With that said Skins 32 Rams 10 |
Re: Time to move the F on...
Since I actually might miss my first game in years, they'll win 42-13 and in the process Bigfoot, a leprechaun and Chester Cheetah will all come on the screen with a phone number offering a wish to anyone watching the broadcast.
Vacations are lame during football season. Oh, and pain. |
Re: Time to move the F on...
Malcolm if we score 42 points, you will have to go on a permanent vacation. Weren't you going to Hawaii. Here's hoping you have a good time!

Skins 32 Rams 10
I'd say last year was the very definition of a trap game. They were coming off a bye if I'm not mistaken, and playing their first game with a new head coach. At the same time, we were riding high and feeling good about ourselves since we had just won in dallas and then in philly on back-to-back weeks. The team was clearly looking past the rams because they figured they had 3 easy wins in a row with this game followed by home against the browns and on the road in Detroit. Plus, there was the fluky Pete Kendall fumble which was returned for a TD, and that late long catch by Donnie Avery to set up the game winning FG after we had been playing pretty good D all day. For this game, I expect the team to take their heads out of their collective asses and play the way they all know they can. There is absolutely NO excuse to lose this game. |

I could swear I heard that before this week. Maybe we'll take heed this time. Hopefully. |
Re: Time to move the F on...
Come Sunday, we will experience amazement and delight at the (cover the children's ears) stretching of the field. It will be awesome, satisfying, and memorable.

Re: Time to move the F on...
we should blow them out but that doesn't mean we will I would like to see us control this game from begining to end. for me that is more important than the score

Re: Time to move the F on...
i don't know what the score is going to be but it's going to be close.

Our offense can't move on. They can't even move down the field for more than 3 downs. The front office is sitting back making money hand over fist and they sit up there in the suites like fat cats looking down on their evil empire of...just kidding... Skins 20 Rams 10 |
Re: Time to move the F on...
Amen to moving on... Can't believe all the junk I've read here the last few days after ONE GAME.
I predict if we lose this game the Warpath will explode like Feb 2004. |

The Skins will win, but it's not gonna be a blowout.
Skins - 17 Rams - 13 |
Re: Time to move the F on...

Rams 13 More than anything, I want to see Zorn/Campbell get Kelly/Thomas/Davis involved in the offense. If we continue to get nothing from them as we did last week, I don't see how we finish better than 8-8. |

Re: Time to move the F on...
Skins win this week, 21-13.
Moving forward they go on a mini-run with the next five games all coming against beatable opponents. Things look up in D.C., but only briefly. The second half of the season, against stronger competition, the offense continues to prove unimaginative and inconsistent. Campbell puts up numbers consistent with his performance in 2008, but continues to look too hesitant in the pocket (despite GTripp's furious protestations to the contrary). The defense regresses to the mean and does not perform nearly as well as they did last year when they were excellent on third down (but mediocre on the first two). They give up too many easy throws and prove unable to get off the field (a la 2006). After starting 4-2 the Skins sputter to a 4-6 finish in the final ten games. After beating Dallas at home in week 16 they have an outside shot at the playoffs but lose to San Diego, a team that is resting most of its starters for the playoffs. Zorn and Campbell are both shown the door, even though it was Vinny and Dan's fault for bringing in an offensive style that did not fit their talent in the first place. Campbell goes to Carolina and finally enjoys consistent success on a run-first team, with lots of play action, and a commitment to the vertical passing game. Zorn opens a outdoor outfitter store and never returns to football. Finishing 8-8 and lacking a top draft pick the front office is forced to mortgage years of draft picks to move into position to draft Colt McCoy (or whoever) but Snyder is certain that it is worth it because Mark Sanchez took the Jets to the playoffs. But in giving up multiple picks the Skins return to a cycle of undervaluing the draft and continue to struggle while ownership wonders why. |
