Cowboys may face blackout (yeah like Jerry won't buy every open seat)

Cowboys Try To Avoid Blackout, Ticket Holders Fume - cbs11tv.com

I want to share two thoughts:

1) It would be awesome if North Texas had the game blacked out.

2) for all those that complain about the Skins fans and the lack of sellouts. Please read this whenever you wanna complain. That's just a fact when stadium capacity outweighs the local area's ability to support it.

That would be HILARIOUS if the first game at that monstrosity is blacked out. One of many to come, I am expecting. 82,000 seats is a lot to expect to sell 8 times a year.

Hilarious!! What a circus Jerrah has down there. LOL. Now all the Dallas locals may not be able to watch footballs bounce off their scoreboard. ha!

Opening game in new stadium vs. divisional rivel. If you cant sell this one out its a sure problem for things to come.

Yes. Even if they wiggle out of it this time, it looks like the Boys will face constant blackout threats in the future. To this, I say ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

$495 for 2 tickets is the cheapest available? thats seems absurd.

I feel for the PSL holders, basically the team says you gotta pay us 5k before we sell you good seats, then after you pay them for YOUR loyalties to the team, you find out you could have gotten them per game without having to pay the 5k per seat PSL?

DS and JJ are the same owners in so many ways, including juicing your loyal (and wealthy) fans for every drop they have.

but those 29 buck party passes seems cool as long as you got a decent view. at least then a bunch of older sweater wearing non-skins representing herbs wont tell you to sit down when our D is facing a 3rd and short.

go skins!!

So they are America's team, but not Dallas' team.

Over-expansion (of Jerry's ego).

I hope this happens...then a Giants' punt hits the scoreboard too.

I think this would be good gut check for the league. With the NFL's continued growth each year, owners are getting richer every season with the increase in ticket prices. Are we finally getting to the point where the fans stand up and say enough is enough?

Re: Cowboys may face blackout (yeah like Jerry won't buy every open seat)

To me going to a game is a special event. I live in Richmond so its much harder to make it to MD for a game then say some one in DC, but based off of the cost and time involved attending games is purely becoming a special event for most people. Who really needs to go 8 times a year to a game? Its like your favorite band, you like to see them live every now and then, but you learn the words to their songs by listening to their cd. Plus the that "League" is starting to become more popular then individual teams. How can people keep up with their fantasy or place bets, if they spend 5-9 hours watching just one game (including traffic and tailgating). If you stay at home you get to watch a lot more games and stay more abreast of other teams. Plus most everyone either has a nice hdtv or knows a friend that does, and I allways get way more out of watching a game on tv then at fedex.

Any updates on if they sold out yet? Deadline is in less than 4 hours!

Yeah, looks like they have it covered. You knew they would, but still, what's gonna happen in December when the are 4-10 and out of the playoff race. I really would love to hear they are having blackouts. I still doubt Jerry would ever let that happen.

thats pretty wishful thinking,I think Dallas will win the div,we have a much greater chance of going {4-10?] than they do.{its a 16 game season}

Re: Cowboys may face blackout (yeah like Jerry won't buy every open seat)

Here's the thing, it's so much nicer to watch games at home on HD. Then add to the fact that concessions are getting out of control. Somebody told me it costs $9 for one beer. That's absurd. At some point, owners are going to have to make going to the games in person more desirable to attend. Parking, traffic, standing in line for the bathrooms, spending a fortune for food and drinks -- you're going to be hearing more and more about this.

first 4-10 would leave two games left in december, one of which could be a home game.

2nd, don't be fooled by their win in Tampa, they gave up 450 yds! and Romo had a career day, not likely against most of their opponents

3rd, it doesn't have to be this season, any season any game will do.

1st,I still dont understand about 4-10 when theres 16 games

2nd,I wish the hell the skins would fool us like that

3rd.I agree with that completely

I'm sure he is talking bout week 15, like at some point in the season when they out of it. We will then see if they fill the stadium.

like zerohero said; if the cowboys are 4-10, playing a homegame with the oakland raiders, or some other non-division team, I think they will have a hard time selling it out.

2nd, i don't want the skins giving up 450 yds EVER

and if they did fans would be weeping and lamenting the scheme, even if we somehow managed to win.

I would however like JC to go out and have a career high day tomorrow!

if were blowing teams out giving up 450 yrds a game is fine with me,and Dallas blew TB out.When you get that big a lead you give up a lot of yrds,just ask the 83 redskins{mostly passing yrds}

Well, it only took one game for Jerry World's "Party Pass" to fall flat on it's face. LOL. Now they once again take a backseat to the Skins attendance-wise. What a joke.

"Party pass" is a party to pass on | ProFootballTalk.com

Looks like a totally miserable experience to me:

edit- I'm going to make this a thread- nothing like a little Cowgirl bashing to make us feel good
