Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
The Chargers defense is suspect.
Drew Brees is going to win the NFL mvp. Singletary has the 49'ers defense playing really nice. |
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
I think the Cowboys might win. I hope I am wrong and NY beats them up.
|
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
I just hope that video screen get's hit.

Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Huge win for the Niners
Warner was nearly perfect today Sanchez continues to impress me JaMarcus Russell looks lost |
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Are the Niners on our schedule? How dumb is Crabtree looking right now?
And where is Reggie Bush these days? |
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Big Texans win today. Their defense is still terrible, but when it mattered most, Kerry Collins played like a drunken sailor.
|
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Brady Quinn had the quintessential 2008 Jason Campbell day. ~75% completion, 6 YPA, 0 TD, 0 INT. Denver just never gave the Browns a chance in that game.
Makes sense since the Browns offense is more or less where ours was last season. |
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Sanchez is going to turn some heads today with that win, but his production would have more or less been easily replaced by 15-20 other quarterbacks in the league and the Jets still win because of great defense.
It's relevant because he's a rookie, but he's been more Flacco than Ryan to this point. |
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
I love Darren Sproles! That little guy is fearless. He is an awesome football player.

Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Norvel f*cks it up again. 4th and 2 against the rat birds and you call counter? WTF?!!
|
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
No wonder Pete Carroll didn't want Sanchez leaving. He's the real deal. Jay Cutler didn't turn the ball over today and they won...I'ma still hate on him though...he sucks donkey.

Drew Brees is going to win the NFL mvp. Singletary has the 49'ers defense playing really nice.
Brees is insane. He drops back, finds the guy in single coverage and lets it rip. He doesn't give a f*ck how covered the receiver is as long as it's single coverage. On one TD, his guy jumped over the defender to make the catch before the defender could even get his head turned around. Absolutely ridiculous. |
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
I hate Norv, can't win a 5point game if it was handed to him.
I really hope the Giants whoop up on the cowpokes tonight. |
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Realy wanted to see Norve win.
|
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
The Ravens can flat out score. I hate to say it, but they could be headed to the Super Bowl. The D gave up 474 yards though. Wouldn't that be something? The Ravens D being the reason they DON'T go far in the playoffs.

This is one of the main things that the top seven or so quarterbacks in NFL do that seperates them from everyone else. JC is still a little nervous about attacking single coverage if he feels the man is covered. In the NFL a receiver in single coverage usually has the distinct advantage and players like Brees attack single coverage all day long. If you are a CB and you blanket your receiver in single coverage Brees is looking at you and thinking "I got you." |

Is JC reluctant to throw unless his receiver has a couple of steps or is he being coached that way? A completion or pass interference call is as likely, if not more likely, than an interception. An incompletion isn't the end of the world either. In the second half in particular it seemed like Campbell was looking deep on a lot of the pass plays, but then went to something underneath. |

That's what were hoping that Malcolm Kelly will begin to earn starting with an impressive performance today, but let's face it: if you were the Skins QB, you wouldn't expect a Redskins wide receiver to win a single coverage battle either. |
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Man, that Ray Ray hit was vicious. Good game between SD and Baltimore.

Ray laid the wood on that youngster. I think Lewis goes down as the Butkus of his generation. |
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Go Giants! Ruin the grand opening of the Bonehead Palace!
|
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Hmm, I wonder who the OC for Baltimore is? Oh yeah, Cam Cameron. Cowboys will win tonight.
|
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Cam is showing he is the man.

Try telling that to the people that laughed at me, I personally think he would be the guy I hire as Zorn's replacement. Who cares what happened in Miami, one year is not enough of a chance. |
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
No surprise to me with Singletary's ability to coach. Tennesse 0-2 start is strange. New England has not looked as strong I thought they would so far season (I flipped between the Skins and Jets vs Pats today).

Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
what's up with the sound???
|
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Am I the only individual who was at todays game that thought it was a disgusting display of athleticism? 9-7 against a piss poor team is atrocious...

I guess that's what I like about Brees. He makes his receivers better. Anyone they put in the game makes plays. Those same players wouldn't do jack on most other teams. |
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Eli looks good this year.

Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
I know there are some Eli haters out there, but he's really good QB.
|
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
I know there are some Eli haters out there, but he's really good QB.
He's great when he has the best team of the two, but when he gets pressured he does a lot of boneheaded things that neither Campbell or McNabb do.
I'd throw Romo in there too, but "pressure" on Tony Romo is a completely relative term. You can get pressure on Tony Romo, and he'll still make a completely uncontested throw. |

I guess that's why they let him throw in the red zone;) BTW, it only took them 5 plays and a couple of minutes to get there. |

Yup, but just like us...only a FG. Funny stat, against us they went to the RZ 3 times and got 2 FG. Damn the poor tackling of our defense, but good for them to be able to keep a power running team like the G-Men to just FGs in 3 trips to the RZ. |

If JC had an OL like that and a receiver like Smith that always catches the key plays, then JC would also look good. We are getting there slowly, our problem is the RED ZONE. |
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Guys, Witten or Cooley?

Looks like that was their problem in that drive as well. |

Did JC even get sacked once today? I thought the O line gave him plenty of time to throw, although I watched most of the game in fast forward mode, since I was out during the first quarter. |

Yeah, the line played well today...once again, our problems today were mainly dropped passes, bad play calling, and well some of our stars not showing up...well mainly Moss. Shit, looks like the Cowboys are about to score. Ugh. |
