Potential Epic Fail
I am talking about next week against Detriot. It is very likely we are going to lose. They seem better then the Rams and we will be playing them at their house.
It is going to be horrible if we lose that game. The media will be all over it. |
Re: Potential Epic Fail
I dont think the Skins will lose but like the Rams game it will be a nail-biter.
|
Re: Potential Epic Fail
I am not saying we will or will not lose. But if we do, Zorn will be fired the next day.
|
Re: Potential Epic Fail
We lose to the Lions, its gonna get ugly.
|
Re: Potential Epic Fail
Oddly enough we are 6.5 point favorites right now. I am sad to say it but based on how I feel right now i am kind of tempted.....
|
Re: Potential Epic Fail
The sky is not falling. I wish people would stop panicking, what Zorn and the Redskins need to do is work on scoring in the RedZone, go back to fundamentals and use our big receivers.
|
Re: Potential Epic Fail
Lions are a better offense and a team, IMO, than the Rams. We are going to have to put up points to win.
This will be an interesting game. |

The media will be all over it.
You are certainly looking at the possibility of the Lions being favored by 2 1/2 or so despite losing 19 straight. They have some weapons on offense too. Kevin Smith put up 83 against a very good Minnesota defense and Calvin Johnson is a top five wide receiver in the league. If Johnson ever gets matched up with D. Hall that is serious trouble. Matthew Stafford might make some mistakes, but the Redskins have trouble capitalizing on those, and he will take some shots. Despite the final score, the Skins even struggled with them last year. Never mind the media being all over it, the Warpath servers will shut down if they lose to Detroit. |

I'm pretty sure you are going to win garbage post of the week with this beauty. |

I agree that the sky is not falling, but the Redskins loose against the Lions if they get into the red zone 4 times and only walk away with 9 points. The defense is the only reason why won yesterday. Zorn needs to worry about, work on, and fix the red zone offense this week. I don't think that it is necessarily the fundamentals they need to work on rather than the play calling in those situations... |
Re: Potential Epic Fail
Skins 20 Lions 14
|
Re: Potential Epic Fail
we are sooo in need of a slump buster. Detroit could just be it. I agree with others though, if we lose, Zorn can probably start packing. The thing with Zorn is, be aggressive. If you're going to go down, don't go down with bullets left in the clip. I'm tired of this conservative bullshit. I almost wish we'd play an entire game without running the ball. Why not?

thank you, exactly what i wanted to say. we will go into detriot and win while playing down to another bad team. our defense will carry us again, i like our chances against stafford. |

You are so right becasue after watching the Skins the last two weeks how could we not just walk into Detriot and expected a win, we are just that good! ***eyes rolling*** |

Did we beat them then?? The Rams SUCK this year and we squeeze by with a 2 point win? This sky has been falling since week 9 last year. All y'all need to wake the freak up!!! |

I don't expect a win, but I also don't expect a loss. I'm done predicting games in this league and anything could happen. In reality what will most likely happen is that we win a close game. You expect a loss and find it necessary to point it out in a thread.
Ths Rams SUCTED last year. Did we beat them then?? That is really freaking me out! I just changed to that Cooley avatar yesterday after having to use a Giants helmet for the week. I just don't see how you can say we will most likely lose to such a bad team no matter how frustrated you might be. We could lose for sure, but most likely we are more likely to win. |

Ill NEVER cheer for the Skins to lose, but this might be a blessing in disguise. Jim Zorn = Pathetic Question....Sherman Smith is the offensive coordinator, does he have experience with playcalling? Something has gotta change soon! |
Re: Potential Epic Fail
I didnt get to watch the game this past Sunday. Tommorow i will watch it. I am so shocked that they couldnt score in the redzone again. They need to get this offense fixed. Seems as though they were ablbe to march down the field all day Sunday. Jason put up good stats again. But still no touchdowns. Man it is frustrating as a fan to watch or not as in my chase this week. If zorn is so scared of having jc throw the ball in the redzone maybe he should bring in Collins for inside the 20:).

Re: Potential Epic Fail
This game has me worried. Im catching flak already over yesterdays game. If we lose this one im using ALL of my vacation
|
Re: Potential Epic Fail
Speaking of Collins...Campbell's foot will be something to keep an eye on this week. Hopefully it's nothing serious
Speaking of Collins...Campbell's foot will be something to keep an eye on this week. Hopefully it's nothing serious
Could you imagine........say we score 25+ with Collins under center.
JC is playing unless his foot falls off. He doesn't have the luxury of taking a week off, he may never get to play again, and he knows that. |
Re: Potential Epic Fail
Wilsowilso and Ruhskins I said potential (in the title) not a GTD lost.
I also beleive we have had the Loins number for a very long time they are due for a win against us. |
Re: Potential Epic Fail
You've got to believe that Det. is thinking that they can win this game.

Although like I said, I just want them to win at this point. Yeah it sucks that we can't put away a team like the Giants....but in the end it is all about Ws, this isn't college ball where you have to (and are expected to) blow out lesser teams.
You've got to believe that Det. is thinking that they can win this game.
Well I don't think anyone is expecting us to march in there and beat them...so at least there's not chance of a trap play like with the Rams last year. |

Re: Potential Epic Fail
We need to spend the next three days of practice spending 90% of the time working on this red zone list.
Slants at the goal line. Posts that end at the back of the goal line Any pass plays were JC has to throw to THE BACK OF THE GOALINE! Fades to Kelly and Mitchell Quarterback rollouts Any plays like the one we ran to Mike Sellers because it was inventive and he was open for a touchdown |
Re: Potential Epic Fail
SS Is this your future HC prospect?
Hell no!!! If we get another coach, hopefully its someone proven that can demand control of the team from Cerrato/Snyder. From playcalling.....all the way to forming the roster.(Ex. Holmgren, Shanahan) Im just wondering who else could call plays if/once Zorn is shown the door. I dont see an experienced playcaller on our team, but Im not familiar with Smith's history in Tennessee either. |
Re: Potential Epic Fail
The Lions had the Vikings on the ropes until their 2nd half letdown. However, Kevin Smith is no Steven Jackson, Matthew Stafford will make his mistakes, and as long as we keep Calvin Johnson to a minimum, the Skins will have to do what they can to put points on the board.
|
Re: Potential Epic Fail
I wouldnt want Shanahan or Holmgren. Id rather take Cowher since he is younger and proven. The others would just be stop gap HC's IMO.
Marty is great.... Until the playoffs. He has always built a solid team but just couldnt reach that next level. I do think he got a raw deal in SD Get Mike Martz!!!! lol jk... hey, at least with him we would throw the ball downfield and be aggressive on offense. |
Re: Potential Epic Fail
Detroit should be a win. We have a great chance to be 3-1 going to Carolina. It's a long season and if we can improve we'll laugh about scoring 9 pts against the Rams. Our D is going to be there all year, so we'll have a chance to win alot of games.

I dont want Cowher, although he does bring alot of emotion to the game. I dont think he would accept the team playing like this, and wouldnt hesitate in calling out the problem. Id rather see someone with a more offensive mindset. The NFL is now a passing league, and having someone more innovative with the playcalling would help tremendously IMO. Is there any young offensive coaches out there equivalent to Spag's and/or LeBeau's defensive playcalling? Anyways....if we lose the Detroit game, its gonna be very ugly. |

You know what is an epic fail? The reporters that asked questions at today's press conference. They asked the most bland generic freaking questions.
