Predict when Zorn will be fired!
OK, we have a lot of Zorn threads around here, and we are all talking about when he will be fired, so here's your chance to predict it. Will it be in 2015, or will it be this week, or somewhere in between. What do you think?

Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
if they do it this season it's going to happen on our bye week...but i've got a feeling we are going to stick with him. we can't just jump the gun on every new coach we get. He wasn't handed the keys to a Ferrari by any means, give him some time to gel and get better...but I'm not really sure rushing off and giving a new head coach a job would be the best thing.
I know it sucks now, but in the end who knows...we may have a winner on our hands. |
Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
Whenever we are officially out of playoff contention.
|
Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
I'm more concerned with when Cerrato is getting booted out on his ass and left for NFL dead.
Best of luck getting another NFL job once you hit the sidewalk Cerrato. Who knows...maybe you can try your acting chops in Hollywood. |
Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
Zorn is not as much on the hot seat as Cerrato and Blache. I would add Snyder to that short list if that was an option... I'm definitely in favor of hiring a GM immediately. Ofcourse Matt Millen is not on that list.

Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
If the rest of the games remain the same then I'll say at the break. I always think it's stupid to cut a HC mid season but I can see it happening if we keep scoring very little and keep losing games.

Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
When will Zorn be fired? Who really knows but it should not be until the end of the season to evalute the team then. Thats what a real football organization would do. A real owner would not be pressured to fire a coach just because some fans think he should. Its Week 3 so there is plenty of football to be played and anything could change. Remember the Cards were 9-7 and went to the SuperBowl. We were 6-2 last year and ended up 8-8. Who says we cant end up 11-5 if we some how find some balls and punch other teams in the mouth. We don't have any bad asses out there kicking asses and taking names. We are not playing with confidence and it showing up on Sunday. Greg Blache needs to unleash the dogs and let them get after the QB. Chris Wilson Jarmon at DE move Orakpo around to use his pass rush skills. This can be fixed if our players truly want to win.

Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
Who knows with DS, it could happen Monday morning. I say if we go down to TB at home, he is done.
|
Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
5 coaches and 1 interim in 10 seasons. DC is not exactly the model of stability...

Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
I say GB goes down tomorrow morning. Not Zorn

I agree lots of football left this year even if Zorn were to get fired tonight we still have the talent to compete in this league we just need fire and confidence to go along with it. Well you also have to remember the Cards were in a really really shitty division. They had the luxury of not having to play very well to make it to the playoffs and then they also had the luxury of playing at home against teams with better records just because they won their division (which any crappy-ok team could of done). We do not have that luxury we need to play a lot better because of the teams in our division. |

You don't have to give up, you just have to come to the realization that this Skins team is not built to be competitive this year. Faith away...it's not going to change their fate this season. |

Doesn't mean I'm not a fan. You can try to outfan me all you want be you won't be successful. If you were a real fan of this team you'd know how long it's been since we've been competitive in the league and you'd want a change just as much as I do. I can understand though if you've only liked them for the last 3 years. You don't know what real pain is. Love away newbie. They could really use some new blind hope...Hey, I heard the Haynesworth jerseys are selling pretty well. Why don't you pick one up to prove how much you love them? |

I never miss a game bro crappy record or not. |

How about Richie Pettibone was the coach for 1 season and we went 3-13. Yea Im a real fan not some bandwagon fan. |

Well then you're familar with how much our team and front office needs some change because it's obvious to all the long time fans...welcome. |
Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
Unless we're 1-6 at the bye I don't think any coach gets fired during the season.

Considering we havent done anything in the past decade id think its safe to say noone on here is a bandwagon fan. you have to be a winning team to have those |

Who says he's getting fired?

Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
Zorn gets canned the day after the last game of the year. And that day can't come soon enough for me.

Mr. Snyder just might fire Zorn in the coming weeks. It won't matter however because Zorn is a SYMPTON, not the cause. We are not a very good team right now and it's time we get used to it, or go crazy trying to deny it. Continueing to parade coaches in and out like items on an auction block does not/will not guarantee success. It's a sad time for Redskin football and it's fans when a coach has to be motivated to coach through fear. Playing check and check mate with coaches has proved futile the last ten yrs; Organizational changes are neccessary less we're well on our way to becoming a moribund franchise in serious need of rescue. |
Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
If I were the owner I'd fire his ass this morning! But, I think it will happen during the bye week this year. Danny would want to wait until the year is over, but I think he'll change his mind once the Eagles blow us out on Monday Night. Hopefully, Cerrato will go with him.
|
Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
I say Zorn has got a 50/50 shot to finish the season with the Skins. This based on Danny's previous reactionary moves. That said it doesn't matter he is just a scapegoat anyway. It must start from the top down(as close to the top as you can get anyway). Cerrato should be fired and danny should have him sit on one of those dunk tanks in the parking lot and let fans pay to throw baseballs at him. Snyder could make a lot more $$ this way, he needs it for more washed up players.
|
Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
Doubting your team's ability for success does not make anyone less of a fan. I have more respect for fans who can be critical of their team and do not simply view everything with rose colored glasses and have a blind faith to everything that goes on.
|
Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
Can we start a poll asking who will be the first to be fired? Cerrato, Blache, Zorn or other? I'm just curious who thinks it should be Zorn over Cerrato.
BTW, a friend just suggested that the Youtube video (Downfall) with Hitler ranting in the bunker needs to be updated reflecting current events. |

Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
Native Americans are/have been seriously calling for the Redskins to change their nickname, I think "Redskins Fireing" would be a perfectly suited nickname since "Fireing" is a word so closely associated with this team. Fireing just seems to make everybody so happy, what better way to reward the team.

What does "Fireing" mean? Do you mean "Firing"? |
Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
Probably at the end of the season, but I wouldn't be shocked at a bye week firing if we're below .500. I REALLY hope Snyder brings someone in to evaluate what we're doing on the football side of things and takes their advice. Dungy (who is not coming back to day to day operations of an NFL team) said it perfectly last night, it's not just the coach, it's the culture. Both need to be changed.

Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
I hope Blache gets fired this morning. Then I hope Zorn relinquishes some of his jobs like playcalling and coaching the quarterbacks. Changes need to made immediate. Zorn will no doubt get fired in the offseason. Come on Shanahan with Holmgren in the front office as president.

Re: Predict when Zorn will be fired!
What's funny to me it's that in week 1 I wrote in my column that the end of Zorn Era was starting and he was going to be let go and everyone here came at me like I was insane and just another cowboys bias fan... and 3 weeks later everyone it's on the same boat.
