I don't get versus, but if I'm on my schools campus, it's part of the base cable package. So I'll try to catch some of the game.

Big Mike McMahon fan. Dude's completion percentage puts JaMarcus Russell's to shame.

I will record the gme and watch it later. If the games are comeptitive, I will continue to watch.


Before anyone comes on here with the argument that this is NFL Lite or it is a bunch of guys not good enough for the NFL or anything along that line, so is NCAA football. And I enjoy watching competitive NCAA football a lot.


Now if the games are blowouts (two good teams and two really bad teams in the league as a way for that to happen too often) I will tire of watching unless the matchup is the two good teams. But we shall see...

yeah.. horrible way to start a season.. how do you build any sort of hype if one team is way more baller?

will they end up as stupid as hockey fans with the "original 6" arguments? (btw not all hockey fans are stupid, I'm becoming one myself.. hockey fan that is, not stupid)

I know, and it was hard to tell which team was which because of the matching greenish blue.

Aside from the ugly uniforms I thought that the quality of play was suprisingly good. Not quite as good as the NFL, but way better than NFL Europe and definately more professional looking than college.

It's worth the watch if you've got the itch.

Not that I am aware of.

It was interesting how the league attempted to portray themselves. They def went in a non-XFL approach. They were candid about the NFL and their role, unlike previous competition. The UFL commissioner was the first to say that they hoped to be a league from which players could go to the NFL.

Also they did not attempt to distinguish the league from the NFL in any other ways, rules etc. Only thing they said is that the UFL takes the fan further into the game. Basically more interviews with players and coaches RIGHT after they score, etc.


They had 15k last night, so not too bad. It look really empty early, but I am guessing as more people trickled in from work and dinner. It looked pretty decent late.

I did. It was so-so. Obviously not NFL; wasn't too bad though.
