What Shows Are You Watching?
I can only fit a few new shows into my weekly schedule but heregoes:
Modern Family- anything w/ Ed Oneil in it is a good thing, and his new wife....nice. Fringe- Not new but fairly new and a good show I've heard good things about the Son's of Anarchy but not sure I have time to squeeze that one in. Any other suggestions? |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I was a bit disappointed with Modern Family. Funny, but not as funny as I had expected.
Community is kind of a pleasant surprise. Chevy Chase has really let himself go. Absolutely not a must see though My wife and I watch Glee, which is actually pretty good. From the creators of Popular and Nip/Tuck so it has a lot of really dark humor |

They have their moments and they are 10 times better than watching "More to Love" or any other Reality show. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Glee is hysterical, that's high on my list of must watch shows now.
I tried Flash Forward the first week, missed the subsequent shows. I might try to get back into it. It's trying to be a puzzle partially revealed bit by bit like Lost, but I'm not sure if its working for me yet. It's now in its second season, but this season I've gotten into Sons of Anarchy (on FX). Good mix of character development, action, and love interests. Plus FX ain't shy about showing nudity, violence, and bad language after 10pm. Part of me is still 15 years old and impressed by that stuff. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Just started watching "It's always sunny in Philadelphia."
Really starting to like it. Not a new show, but a great one. Curb your enthusiasm this season has been hysterical. The entire cast of Seinfeld has gotten together on the show, so it's setting up to be pretty epic. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
And this summer I got hooked on Mad Men so right now my 3 must watch shows are Mad Men, Glee, and 30 Rock
|
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
The Big Bang Theory, Family Guy, Desperate Housewives, and The Universe.

You're watching these for the first time? |

Courtney Cox looks hot , does she not ? Son's of Anarchy is decent . If I were in my 20's I would try and get a part on Cougar as one of CC's boyfriends :) |

Yes and No. It's a new season and like NBC says "If you haven't seen it, it's new to you." |

You need to watch season one to know what the heck is going on. It is very much a serial type show with a lot of back story they have built. Maybe the best acted show on TV. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
While it's not new I'm really getting hooked on Parks and Recreation. I thought the first season was a little blah but it seems to be hitting it's stride now.

If I were in my 20's it would make me go looking for a cougar as hot as CC. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Nothing new, but a few of my staples are in full swing- Curb Your Enthusiasm, Family Guy, and The Office. I also really enjoyed this season of Entourage, which wrapped up on Sunday with a great season finale.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
My wife and I have tried out the ABC Wednesday sitcoms. Hank typecasts Kelsey Grammer into essentially the same role he's had in every sitcom he's been in but he's a go-getting former CEO instead of a psychologist. The Middle is pretty much "Malcolm in the Middle" from the viewpoint of the Mom, and Patricia Heaton isn't that funny and no other character can help her carry the show.
Modern Family is good, Ed O'Neill has a bit of Al Bundy in him mixed with the Dad from My Three Sons, although his daughter's husband is annoying as all get out (Think of a cross between Michael Scott and Andy Bernard). Cougar Town is probably the best of those 4 shows, but I can see it getting stale real fast. Christa Miller looks like she's had too much plastic surgery, and the blonde is quite annoying. We both found Community to be painful. Watched 2 episodes before giving up. We did get into Top Chef since the Voltaggio Brothers are from Frederick, and like the show. |

Weird similarities to Lost-bird hits window, kangaroo hops down the street of LA (Lost-polar bear on an island), Oceanic Air is in both, and so is Penny (though she's not Penny in this one) |

My fiancee wanted to watch the series premiere, and I groaned and decided to sit through it. Brilliant! Great TV. Jane Lynch is so funny. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Is anyone else watching Bored To Death on HBO? I freaking LOVE this show! Jason Schwartzman is really funny but Ted Danson and Zach Galifanakis make the show seriously great. I highly recommend it (no pun intended).

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I spend 12 hours a week watching the Redskins on loop. They're not threatening the Neilsen ratings anytime soon, but you just never know how things are going to turn out. Until about the fourth time around, that is.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
sons of anarchy isn't too bad, but like every other show that isn't sports, I don't watch it regularly
|
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Nothing like some good ol South Park. Firstdown, Sadden, and TTE should like this one.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
None of these are new for me but I'm still watching all the new episodes: Sons of Anarchy, South Park, and Family Guy. All my other regulars are NBA, NHL, and college football on Saturdays if I ain't busy.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Shows:
Community. I actually really enjoy this show. It has some great parts though it can be slow at times. The Halloween episode was great. Always Sunny. I champion this show a lot, but I love it. Not a single likable character, that's why I love it. The Office. Still good, not as good as early seasons, but still good. I watched part of an episode of Glee and didn't understand the hype. Maybe I should give it another shot. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Community, Modern Family, It's Always Sunny, Parks & Rec, Office, Nip/Tuck, Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, Friday Night Lights (DirecTV), The League (fantasy football!), Dexter and Californication. I love Fall!

Drunk Thread worthy. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
None of them.
Television isn't my thing. When I was in college I didn't even own one. Read a book. They're better and you'll not have to use spell check all of the time either. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Did anyone catch V last night on ABC? I waited and waited for that show to come out and I missed it because I got home late. A couple of my colleagues watched it based on my recomendation and loved it. I can't believe that I missed it.
I know, I know, DVR. |

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Sons of Anarchy put on one of the best 1 1/2 hours of TV I've seen last week. It's the best show on TV at the moment. Just a great show. Who knew Katey Segal was such a good actress?

I have thought it was pretty terrible. Besides Elizabeth Mitchell the acting isn't very good. I want to punch Scott Wolfe every time he comes on screen. And the vague anti-Obama vibe to it is off-putting. And this is the type of show I usually rally enjoy. It just isn' done smartly enough. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
V is a interesting show
