The Collins Sighting
Yes, I know it's early, but this thread is going to pop up post-game anyway. But here it is!
Discuss what you think about Collins taking over for Campbell after the half. ;) |
Re: The Collins Sighting
We'll see!
|
Re: The Collins Sighting
At least with Collins, we can be hilariously bad instead of respectable but still bad.
That will make game reviews more fun. |
Re: The Collins Sighting
Sign Daniel, he would be an upgrade.
|
Re: The Collins Sighting
Neither.
|
Re: The Collins Sighting
Jeff Garcia will be our new QB next week.
|
Re: The Collins Sighting
trades possible? im thinking vince young, byron leftwich, jeff garcia something like that
|
Re: The Collins Sighting
I hope no trades. We'd have to give up draft picks after what we've seen, who'd want to do a player for player trade
|

Re: The Collins Sighting
Collins came in as a defibrillator but the offense had flatlined long ago. Got a good laugh though at the Jason Haters who just knew Collins would part the waters.
And so the Death March begins starting next with Philly. |
Re: The Collins Sighting
I just hope people shutup about Collins now. We saw exactly what he is; terrible, like every other QB that plays behind this line.

thank you!! |
Re: The Collins Sighting
I wonder if Zorn made the call to help Jason's market value. This way there can be no lingering doubts whether "it's just Campbell".

What, Tim Tebow is not going to lead to the SB next year? I thought it was just an issue of replacing Campbell? (sarcasm). |

well said. |
Re: The Collins Sighting
JC 9/16 89 yds 1 int
TC 6/14 75 yds You be the judge who's fault is it QB's, O-line or coach? |
Re: The Collins Sighting
Well, the good news is that 6 wins might get you 2nd place in the NFC East.
|
Re: The Collins Sighting
What are you smoking? The Gmen and Philly will both have at least 9-10 wins unless a major injury glut falls upon them. Also, do you think we are going to win 6 games? This was the easy part of the schedule. Most of the guys in here(included me) had them at 5-2 or 4-3 at the absolute worst. The only question I have is will Philly hit the big 40 mark against us. I almost hope so. McNabb and Maclin are starters for my fantasy team.

Re: The Collins Sighting
When the Raiders blow the Eagles out tonight..you guys are gonna piss yourself.

I think you took Gtripp's comments wayyyy to serious. I'll be curious to see how the G-men rebound after this loss. I guess since they do well against shitty teams, they should have no problem beating us up and the Cowboys. |
Re: The Collins Sighting
Yeah this Eagles team isn't winning 8 games.
I was saying that tongue in cheek...it's not like the Redskins are going to win six games. Nor does that get you into the playoffs. It's just a lofty goal to strive for. |
Re: The Collins Sighting
This line would make Drew Brees look awful.
...a touch of irony in this game w/ Collins getting the call. Like I said recently if Snyder had kept Williams/Saunders I def believe Saunders would have started his best student, Collins, for the start of '08. Now w/ the offense in complete collapse Collins gets the call in the retarded offense Snyder/Vinny decided to install because they didn't have the patience to let Saunders take complete control w/ Gibbs out of the picture. |
Re: The Collins Sighting
Collins looked rusty out there but with a full week of practice he should be better next week if he starts. JC was simply terrible today....if I see hime step up in the pocket and not re set his feet one more time I'm going to puke. He's developed some really bad habits and Zorn must be ready to pull his hair out.

Acivate Woodson give him a shot to getting killed LOL!!!

Re: The Collins Sighting
The Eagles will be just fine...and always play well down the stretch. I think they win 9 or 10 games this year. The Giants win 11 or 12 but will probably lose to Minn or NO in the playoffs barring injuries to Favre or Brees.

The Giants are prob going to do what we thought we were going to do....beat up the lowly teams and maybe split against good teams. Unless they pull something out of the bag, I don't see them getting past round 1 of the playoffs. |

Market value? What market? UFL, CFL, NCAA ,maybe. What team is improved with Jc as their QB? |

I'm sure he can be a back up somewhere else. |
Re: The Collins Sighting
I wonder who Zorn starts next week it would be funny if JC gets the nod and becomes Donovan bench me i'll play better McNabb jr.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jason didn't get signed again anywhere, but then again there are just a ton of shitty QBs out there so it's sort of luck of the draw. ...that said I think he could have been a solid guy in the right system and behind a legit o-line. What's happened is very sad. |

There is a huge difference between the 2. it would be nice to see something like that happen but Mcnabb is a probowl QB who has been in the SB and many Champ games while JC has never seen the playoffs. |
Re: The Collins Sighting
I think it’s clear to everyone that the main problem on the field (excluding Zorn and DS) is the O Line but to say that TC didn’t do any better than JC is I think missing the point. He did as well as JC after more than a year of being the second string with little chance of practice with the starting offense. Let’s get real hear TC must benefit from a weeks practice with the starters and JC has had his chance. I doubt either will start next season but we can’t keep going on with JC, we seem to be getting worse, not better and we have to change something.

There are still several things wrong with our offense that replacing JC with TC is not going to fix (i.e. our running, WRs not making plays, etc., etc.) |

That's why after the season turmoil is over and clean house, we should hire Cam Cameron look what his done with Flacco and they came back and should have beaten Minnesota. |

But they didn't. Good luck selling it to the masses that you're hiring a coach who went 1-15 the last time as a HC. |
