The title of the post is a bit misleading. We did munch the Top 6 picks, but there is far from a consensus in any of the spots. To be declared a consensus pick by the NFL Mock Draft Database at least 60% of the mocks must project the same player. None of the Top 6 spots are even close. The NFL Mock Draft Database is the largest and most updated Mock Database on the Web. This is our 11th year with the original Mock Draft Database.
|

Bradford still leads this week and has picked up mocks. Now, out of the 31 mocks updated from 10/25 through 11/5, 25 or 80% now project the Redskins to take a QB. |
Re: Sam Bradford now leads to Redskins
If we get Bradford in the draft the will clearly state that the Redskins haven't changed.
Our first pick is way too valuable for us to use on a QB you SHOULDN'T see the field for an entire year. Secondly, I don't want the Redskins to being thinking about selecting any player in the draft right now because that would show that Snyder would still be in control of that pick. Let our coach/GM make that selection and please have that pick fit into the confines of a 'overall strategic scheme'. |
Re: Sam Bradford now leads to Redskins
And who is going to protect Bradford? Tinkerbell? If we draft him and don't address the line with solid players then he will end up like Stafford in Detroit. Hey there is a correlation Bradford, Stafford, scary.

And he will end up in IR when he re-injures that shoulder. |
Re: Sam Bradford now leads to Redskins
Bradford won't be a good pro IMO.
Draft linemen....it really isn't that hard. If we have a top 5 pick we should trade down to get more picks anyway. |

It's insane how ppl just say random shit about a player they don't even know or watch.. Sam Bradford is respected by all the pro scouts even though that doesn't guarantee he will be a star, it shows everyone that he is worth taking. You were probably the one that said sanchez would be a bum also |

College QBs are a toss up, for every Peyton Manning or Donovan McNabb, you have a Ryan Leaf, JaMarcus Russell, Joey Harrington, or any first-round bust. I think before everyone blindly says that we should take a QB in the first, we need to have a good FO that will be making those decisions. If Snyder hires a good GM that has the reputation/ability to find linemen in the later rounds, then I would be all for getting a QB in the first (although it still bothers me picking up a player that only played a few games during his last season in college because he injured and re-injured the same shoulder). |
Re: Sam Bradford now leads to Redskins
I'd like to wish our front office luck, but those sorry SOBs wouldn't know what to do with it if they had it.
I took that from the Glengary motivational speech. |

So if we draft one why not take Bradford or clausen I'm the top 10? We can get some quality olineman in the later rounds. |

If they are indeed a top ten, even top 7 pick, trade down and get additional selections in 1st or 2nd round and fix the offensive line. |

I have complete confidence that November mock drafts will be accurate. :)

Sam Bradford is by no means a guaranteed first round pick. He has talent, but this quarterback class is not very strong in terms of possible franchise type top of the draft qb's. I wouldn't be surprised if only one qb was taken in the first round and I am talking very bottom of the first round. We need a left tackle in the first round. End of discussion. |

Kiper and Mcshay both have him a top 5 pick still.. IDK about Clausen or Pike but Bradford has every chance of being a FRANCHISE qb just because of his On Field talent and because he's one of the smartest QB's out there.. (and obviouslly we don't have that now) |

Dude, Bradford may have hurt himself by staying in school. Now he has a shoulder which has been injured twice and that will make personnel people worried. Bradford has developed a reputation among some people for being made of glass. |

Ok man but Adrian Peterson was made of "glass" in college also, well now everyone is on his Jock... I understand he hurt his shoulder but obviously it hasn't hurt his draft stock too much.. And the reason is because he has Manning like attributes on and off the field. |

I mean, every team will have medical reports on him, but no one is going to get to see him throw the football before his personal workout, and those are somewhat valueless anyway because it's not a standardized field like the combine, or at least a pro day. So it makes him the ultimate high-risk, high-reward prospect. On the pro side, he was really, really good in pretty much perfect conditions two years ago. On the downside, what have you done for me lately? Not a whole lot. Clausen is much safer because of that, but it's because he's safer that we don't have a chance in hell of getting him. Not that he'd be a good investment with this team anyway. |

Bradford runs the spread offense which means he has little experience making pre-snap reads and he rarely operates from under center. He has an above average arm not great, good height and a Heisman. Almost all quarterbacks are a gamble, but the real question is how fast does he process info and seeing as how the offense that he runs doesn't give NFL scouts an answer to that very important question he will be a gamble on draft day. I'm not even including the fact that he just busted up his throwing shoulder. |

I really hope this team doesn't go after A qb in F.A, (Brady Quinn, Kevin Kolb) |
Re: Sam Bradford now leads to Redskins
Many of you all seem to forget what Bradford did last year. Winning the Heisman, running the most efficient offense in college football history, leading OU to the national title game just to name a few. Granted he did have two All-American linemen protecting his blind side so we should probably look to draft OKSU's Russell Okung or UMD's Bruce Campbell before we consider drafting Bradford. Hopefully after the pro-days, workouts, and combines he'll fall to the 2nd round (though not likely). I think it would be cool to see Bradford as a Redskin; he is part native american. Having an authentic native american leading a team whose mascot is a native american would be awesome.

Can anyone speak to what Clausen is like off the field?

No DC these guys forget about what Bradford has accomplished, leading the best Offense in College History.. I have seen this kid many times in person and he is as cool off the field as he is on the field. I know I am making a homer pick but we would be in great hands drafting Sam. |

Again ask Minnesota about drafting an INJURED STAR out of college... O yea that guy is the Best player in the league right now :) |

When will the Skins wake up and realize they need to seriously address the O Line?

oline or qb? What's harder to find? I say a LEGIT QB, so until we find our guy of the future we will continue to put the Oline as a second option.. I'm not saying it's right but that's the NFL |

Here, here Ruhskins!!!!! That guy takes one pop and lands on that shoulder and whammo another wasted #1 pick on a QB. I still say take a QB second round. Lefevour will be around I think. There has to be some QBs we could get second round. |

College means jack once his bowl game is over Okie. How many of these over hyped studs make the grade anymore in the NFL. Answer: not too many. Only one current NFL QB that had obtained a lot of college hype has made it real big in the NFL and that is Peyton Manning. Eli won a SB, but won't rise to his brother's level of play. Flacco and Ryan were under the radar so to speak. Ryan did get some hype at BC, but not a whole lot compared to what the "dream 3" are getting now. Plus, Ryan is fading as of late. Not saying Bradford won't make it, but the odds are against him. Think about our sorry post Gibbs I past with QBs. The most successful QB in terms of wins if I am not mistake is my man Gus, and he came from Tulsa(Hey another Okie!!!!) a smaller university with not much fanfare. To me the thing is this. THese overhyped guys are from college football powerhouses totally stacked with talent, which usually totally outgun the competition. Add the fact that the Big 12 isn't known for defense and you can get a Colt Brennan type thing with Hawaii. In the NFL, Sam isn't going to have such an overwhelming advantage. IN DC his line won't be super dominant like the one he enjoys in Norman. |

Dude comes from a college football superpower that beats on average teams over every other week. Only Texas, Nebraska, T Tech, and maybe A&M give them any real competition, unless they play non conference superpowers like when Miami beat them. |

Actually Bradford helped OU beat Miami 2 yrs ago, and he didn't even play in the Miami game this season. |
