I'm pretty effing mad
this didn't deserve a thread int he main forum even though it's about our team
it will prob not be determined as worth a thread here I'm still mad :censored: |
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
Are you kidding me? I was disgusted the first week, mad the third week, angry the 5th week...lost all hope the 6th week. If you're getting mad now you're [not] doing your job as a fan.
|
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
I can't even get upset at this point. The season was over weeks ago.

Yup. At this point it's comical to me actually. I LOL'd several times during the first half today. |
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
Yeah the whole thing is a joke.
Its sad, DS, Vinny, Zorn, etc. actually thought that we had a chance to be in it a couple weeks ago. I knew it was over after the Rams game. |
Re: I'm pretty effing mad

At this point I'll be lucky not being banned.. I wasn't kidding, I sent 3 I've rarely sent PMs on this site I am much more than usually upset and it continues on |
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
Yeah at this point... I mean sure, I'm very very mildly dissapointed at this point...but at this point, why get mad? Were 2-6... probaboly will end up no better than 4-12 if we're lucky ... at this point, it is what it is.

Re: I'm pretty effing mad
I stopped driking much durn the games for the same reason your going through.

Re: I'm pretty effing mad
I guess I'm really a former smoker now? I didn't smoke all weekend, even when I was watching the clown shoes stink it up. Face it. The jig was up when they lost to the Lions. There's no use in getting mad?
|
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
Is numb to the pain. didnt even watch the game today.
|
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
I watched but only after the 1st quarter. I don't see why I should turn on the other team driving for a TD on their first drives, and us turning it over for a TD. How can a team have such a consistent p-poor 1st quarter
|
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
I feel like it's willingly being tortured, as if someone's saying we're gonna torture you, and you're free to leave, but instead I stay thinking it will never be as bad as it actually is.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Or in the Redskins case fool me all season shame on me. I can't stop watching even knowing we can't compete with other teams week after week. |
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
The 2nd half was such a tease too, up until Landry decided to dive at Turner's legs instead of tackling him

Legs how about his feet. I think Landry actually hit the ground before he hit Turner he dove so low. I sat at home and watched and kicked myself for not going fishing. Its all good though I'm out of here in 45 min. and heading to the boat with 3 other friends for a quick fishing trip tonight. |
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
Czban said it weeks ago. This season feels like a sentence.
|
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
At this point I just have to laugh because I am all cried out. We are a freakin' joke from the top down. WAKE UP MANAGEMENT!!!!!!!
|
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
They have ruined the whole season for me. I don't think I have ever cared less about the NFL.

VERY accurate! I can live losing some games. I cannot live with not being taken seriously. When the NFC East is discussed, the Skins are NOT in the conversation anymore. I CANNOT stand what we have become........meaningless........ I heard a sportscaster discussing Joe2. He stated that by Joe winning and making it to the playoffs a couple of times with.....marginal teams, it allowed our FO to assume they were on the right track with this team. It ultimately has delayed the inevitable "rebuild" by a few years |

Yep I completely LOL when Reed lined up offsides which everybody could see....on that first drive....im just fed up at this point |

I think this could be right. I have for probably 5 years had a tiny sinking feeling that we simply didn't have that much talent. When Williams was here our defense was obviously under talented and out performed what should have been expected. On offense we've gotten maybe 7 truly good man-seasons out of our offensive line in the past 5 years(25 man-seasons) and a couple average ones. Samuels had probably 5 of those. We haven't had a WR of real consequence. Even when chugging I think we fooled ourselves into thinking Moss was ever anything more than an average #1. CP had a couple of good years and Cooley was a stud obviously. Our QB hasn't been much better than average at its best. We've simply not been very good. But we always operate like we're just a few players away from glory. We're not. Haven't been. And now the blocks that kept us at least decent are old and ineffective. That coupled with poorish coaching and we're the worst team in the league or close to it. |

Completely! |
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
after watching the rams game in person, which i consider the worst game i have ever seen in my life, i wanted to kill some on ein the parking lot, i was furious, but during that week i realized how bad we suck and it's not going to get any better that week and just kinda gave up on any hope for the team for the rest of this year. granted i didn't have high hopes comin into the year i thought we would be 6-10, i just started watchin the games and just kinda laughing off the pain and if you laugh every time we f up you'll be a pretty happy guy, the way we play is actually comical now, honestly when was the last time you saw some one line that far offsides on a punt, and i love reed doughty

Re: I'm pretty effing mad
Think about this for those that were there or watched it. On the night of Jan 26 1992 we as Redskins fans were in our glory, you may have even had a boner you were so happy. Little did you know at the time that 20 years later you still would be no where near that level exicitment and most likely it may be another 20 years before you are that exicited about the Washington Redskins.

Re: I'm pretty effing mad
Oh man this is like the perfect vent thread.
While the season is over there are still things to watch for. This Sunday I'll tune in hoping to see the stadium half empty :) |
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
I really don't get mad anymore. Frustrated maybe, but I quickly let it slide once the game is over. Life is too short to stress about a football game that I have zero control over.

Fell the same way. Looking back at my behavior in my teenage years and early twenties it kind of embarrassing. I totally ruined a thanksgiving one year when the skins lost to the Cowboys. We had guest over and I was screaming and crusing like a salior and the whole time everyone else is trying to have a nice holiday. Now I know if it gets bad turn it off. Watching football is a hobby something to get away from it all for a few hours, but if that get away is pissing you off why bother it is my free time I want to be happy. |
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
It really is just funny now. Can't even get angry anymore.

I've been there for awhile now. People have been unhappy with my cynical attitude but what else is there? |
Re: I'm pretty effing mad
I'm mad because pretty soon I'm going to put up my Christmas tree, which I typically cover with nothing but Skins ornaments and top with an old Redskins troll doll. I don't know if I can stand to look at that for a month!

I remember the season opener in '99 against Dallas, that big shoot-out where Aikman won it in OT with a bomb and I stormed out of the sports bar and ripped my jersey off and threw it on the ground in the parking lot. LOL totally ridiculous. |

When I lived in Gainesville, I drove to Jacksonville to see the Skins play the Jaguars. It was the glorious Spurrier era, and Shane Effing Matthews was the starting QB. Of course, we lost the game. I was so pissed off that I burned my Redskins t-shirt in the parking lot afterwards, and rode home shirtless in my buddies car. Retarded. |

Although I grew up a Redskins fan I didn't become a fanatic (for lack of a better word) until probably my junior year of college, which was when my friend got season tickets. For a couple of years there I couldn't watch a game in the same room as other people because of how pissed off I would get. These days I still get mad and a loss can still put me in a bad mood but it's not like it used to be. |
