Re: Player of the Game
Easy today. Brian Orakpo is an absolute beats. 4 sacks, 11 on the season. Imagine if he were a full time DE

Re: Player of the Game
Landry came up big

after russell game in |
Re: Player of the Game
Orakpo and Gano, hopefully we have found a kicker for the future.

Re: Player of the Game
Landry came up big
He had a horrible first half. |
Re: Player of the Game
Had to be Orakpo on D, and Campbell or Thomas on Offense
|
Re: Player of the Game
JC...he was getting murdered but he kept his composure and got the job done. no snub to rak, he had a monster game for sure, but JC marched us down the field and put points on the board all day. not to mention no turnovers.

Good call. JC was brutalized but hung in there and made the throws. |
Re: Player of the Game
This was definately a Campbell = MVP game, but I seriously can't look at the Osi-like domination that Orakpo put on a pretty decent LT in Henderson and not give him my vote. He was unbelievable.
Orakpo>Ware |
Re: Player of the Game
Orakpo and Campbell.
JC is setting me up to get upset. He's good enough to be our QB but I know we'll just let him sail for nothing. It'll be a mistake. |
Re: Player of the Game
Brian Orakpo...He and Carter are now the leading sack duo in the NFL surpassing the Freeney and Mathis duo of Indy. Freeney and Mathis 22, Orakpo Carter 23. What a huge improvment over last year.
|
Re: Player of the Game
it was all orakpo, and like everyones already said landry did good because one of the biggests bust at QB came in
|
Re: Player of the Game
I got a feeling the Skins are going to let JC entertain deal he can't refuse from another team all in the name of Jimmy Clausen. I pray that I'm wrong though.
Anyway, JC was the MVP. Yeah, Rak was bringing heat today but Campbell set us up with his feet and arm on a few scoring drives and no interceptions. Additionally, he called a couple of nice audibles at the line of scrimmage. One was the fade to Tanna on down the sideline. |
Re: Player of the Game
Well, I dunno about Clause. RumorsandReports.com has a link up. Cleveeland is heavily looking at Clausen and he has been interviewed by Bernie Kosar, who works for Cleveland.
|
Re: Player of the Game
Let me just point out how AWESOME it is to have a pass rush!!!
How long have we all been BEGGING for a true pass rush to put pressure on opposing QBs?? Rak Rocks!!! :woot: ....and Carter too... man, imagine if Haynesworth could play up to his capabilities next year... one of the best lines in the NFL. If we had the luxury (not needing a replacement for the HORRIBLE Heyer)... could you imagine getting DT Suh in the draft?? I know that's crazy talk... but... DAMN that would be a CRAZY front four. |

~~~~ So are the Browns going to dump Quinn? |
Re: Player of the Game
Orakpo and Campbell are players of the game. Orakpo for being a beast and Campbell for staying in there and doing what had to be done. He is a good qb and a classy guy who has been shafted by the front office one too many times, yet he has never lost his composure.
So are the Browns going to dump Quinn?
I dont know. It seems they have interest in Clausen. Quinn has been so less than impressive. |
I guess the skins too. QB Quandaries: Redskins Eye McCoy, Clausen - NFL - Yahoo! Sports |
Re: Player of the Game
It's about time Blache wised up and let Orakpo keep his hand in the dirt most of the game. Orakpo is an average LB, but can be a dominant DE.
Lorenzo Alexander-contributed in all facets of the game today
My players of the game: Campbell, Ganther, Orakpo, Alexander, Carter, and GANO
My players of the game: Campbell, Ganther, Orakpo, Alexander, Carter, and GANO
First mention that I've seen of Gano. His kickoff after his first FG may have been the best we've seen in years, high and pinning the return man in the corner on the goal line. He is a CLEAR upgrade over Swishy from a leg strength standpoint. Perhaps last week's loss will be a blessing if Gano ends up being a great long-term solution.
His best kickoff came after Fred Davis's endzone dance penalty. Even after being pushed back 15 yards Gano still kicked it to the 5. |
yeah tha kick was almost 8 yard unbelievable i think davis and orakpo split the game ball on this one both had stellar games |
Re: Player of the Game
JC took a beating and kept producing. Orakpo is a beast at DE. Alexander, Davis and Gano all had good games.
|
Re: Player of the Game
He doesn't deserve to be the player of the game, but my "unsung hero" award goes to Todd Yoder. He did an excellent job filling in for Sellers at FB.
|
Re: Player of the Game
Gotta be Rak...how about the secondary being shredded by Gradkowski in the first quarter? man i am starting to have serious questions about landry
|
Re: Player of the Game
JC on O
Rak on D |
Re: Player of the Game
JC on O
Rak on D
^Yep, only answers. The fact Orakpo did this without Haynesworth is huge and very impressive. If only Carter could have bent his knees a little more. :D |
