So there are rumors flying around that our uniforms could be changing, however nothing is confirmed.

Redskins blogger Matt Terl talks about it, and shares some fan ideas, including the graphics of our very own Summo! Pretty cool.

I'd be down for a uniform change. Hell, we're changing everything else. Why not?

Nice Summo, yours are the best of the bunch! I like the use of the script R on the shoulder.

I don't mind when they wear a throwback uniform from time to time but I am a traditionalist. I like the current uniform that we won Super Bowls in. And I like the white jersey at home with the Burgandy pants. I hate when they wear all white or all burgandy. Basically leave things as is...lets focus on changing the people who wear the uniform instead!

I heard that something is definitely in the works for at the least, an updated jersey. Nice props for Summo!

I love the first 3....the 70th anniversary one is my favorite uniform and its the only one i reguarly wear on gameday...i hope we get those

So if they use Summo's idea does he get a cut of the profits? One things for sure, the team sure knows how to create buzz during the offseason.

Yessir, my sentiments exactly. Burgundy jerseys were for the games where the Cowboys and Eagles wore their home whites, and every other game was the classic white jersey on burgundy pants. And while I wouldn't complain about a change, I'm happy with the basics of the current uniform.

Like the old yellow pants with white jersey. Reminds of the old Sonny and Billy playing days. Now all we need a Qb with a big beer belly.

Studies show that teams tend to have more success when they switch jerseys. If you're a true traditionalist you should understand our #1 tradition is winning :D

- Falcons won more often
- Vikings got out of a rut
- Giants upset the Pats in the Super Bowl
- Seahawks reached the Super Bowl.
- Cardinals got to the Super Bowl
- Chargers went from good to great
- Tampa Bay started winning and eventually got a Super Bowl
- Ravens won a Super Bowl
- Patriots won a Super Bowl
- Eagles became an annual playoff team
- Bears got to the Super Bowl
- Bengals finally made the playoffs
- Rams.....er they got back to the Super Bowl. I guess their new jerseys weren't powerful enough to beat the Pats updated uni's

Only team I can think of that a jersey change didn't work for might have been Buffalo and they were decent the year they switched and acquired Drew Bledsoe. Jacksonville and Detroit might need more time to make their switch work. I mean seriously. What can go wrong with a plan like this?

I agree that Summo's is the best.. I liked the 2nd set too but it's too similar to the vikes

what the hell is everybody's obsession with the spear? I'm not a fan, though the one from the newer uniform ideas (where people drew them) the spear on the pant leg isn't bad

love the script R on the shoulder once again.. and I don't see why our helmet would need updating really..

Summo good work only thing if u change that script R for the Indian Head u r golden with some minor tweaking here and there if u want danny boy to really look at it with dollar value.

I prefer the 70th anniversery I think. The one with the arrow. There are a few changes I'd like to see to any uniform....

Can we use actual Gold in the uniform since our colors are Burgandy and [B]GOLD[/B].

I see other teams using the metal colors and they look awsome....
Tampa- Pewter
Detroit- Silver
Patriots- Silver
Raiders- Silver
Saints- Brass (?)
49ers- Gold (?)

I also like the helmit with the "R" on it but I would change it up a bit...

I would like to see the "R" helmit actually in Burgandy with a "Gold" "R" on it.

I also thought the arrow helmit would look good with it's base color being "Gold" with a Burgandy and white arrow. Then I wasn't sure if that was too close to Florida States colors?

Honestly Summo's uni's look too much like what we have already. I like BurgandySkins uni's and the last two photo's. Denver changed up their uni's so I kinda figured Shanahan would be updating the Skins uni's.

ours now looks noble, proud, strong

that's the one thing I definitely don't want to change, I love that our logo seems to be "timeless"

I liked them all to be honest. The one with the script R on the top of the sleeves was the best I think. Not sure about the Rs though. Keep the helmet logo. The spear helmet just doesn't do it for me and looks to much like Central Michigan's old helmets.

It's funny. Some are still stuck in the past and some are looking for the future. :)

I wonder which age group chooses the old look and which chooses a new look? Count me as an older fan looking for change.

An updated look is needed. Yeah I think the Skins have the coolest uniforms now, but it is a new era and a fresh look will do us some good. Thing is all those great memories of SB glories past with the uniforms are just that, memories that are almost two decades old now. Time for a change!!!!!

I have looked at Summo's again. I take it back about the Rs on the sleeves, nice extra touch. Kudos to Summo!!!!! Hopefully they have a contest for it and he gets season tickets for his design.

I like the idea of the yellow pants with the burgundy tops. So my vote is the helmets and pants in the second set, and Sumos jerseys.

Not to be a homer but I do like Summo's the best. I think the one thing simply cannot change it is the logo on the helmet. Summo stayed true there and I like it. The work on the jersey's it subtle enough but right in line with the latest jersey's. Me likey.

Screw season tickets. The winner should easily get a cut from jersey sales. What do teams pay companies to design new uniforms?

I just wanted to modernize the current uniform without going overboard. As I said before they have one of the classic logos and unis in the history of the NFL. If they are going to change they should be looking ahead not back i.e. the spear logo. I like the spear very much but it should be kept with the throw back uni's.

I also wanted to include the script "R" on the jersey. That logo has only been used on sideline apparel and never as part of the uniform. But I didn't want to over do it with logos.

There are two examples that I wanted to avoid with this design. The first being the Ravens. They have one logo on their helmet, a second on their sleeve and a third on their pants! It logo overload!!

The second is the Panthers, they have the same logo on their helmet, sleeve and pants and it looks ridiculous!

As for getting recognition form the team over the design, I doubt it. It probably won’t go any further then it already has. If they change the uni’s it will probably be something similar but it will be a little different from mine so that way they protect them selves from some fan claiming that they designed it, like the situation the Ravens had over their original helmet logo.
