Gibbs needs to be fired!!!
just kidding, but I'm so fckin pissed right now I cant stand it,I cant believe Gibbs is sticking with Brunell another week. This is one time I wish Snyder would interfere and say coach have you lost your fcking mind? The season is over and Gibbs is as much to blame as anybody,he should have never signed Brunell, and he should have set him down 3 weeks ago,if it wasnt for the defense this team would be 0-7,some offensive genius we got
|
One of the worst plays of the day, was the on-side kick after halftime. What was the Coach thinking? We just scored before the half, so there was no need to rush. Instead Green Bay kicks a field goal. The other call that had me puzzled was the 3rd and 1 play in the first quarter. Brunell throws a high screen pass to Coles who almost drops the ball only to lose two yards and the possesion of the ball. Where's Ladell Betts on short yardage downs?

Haven't we been complaining about the lack of trick plays?
Hello guys this is a desperate 2-5 team, these are the kinds of things you have to do. Going for it on 4th and long, trying a squib kick, etc. I'm all for trying anything to give the team a spark. When it pays off you're a genius, when it doesn't everyone is an armchair QB who has the ultimate gameplan/starting lineup that would lead us to 16-0. |

Something's got to give. One trick play (Gardner and Portis) is not going to get it done. The entire playbook has to be used. Desperation has set in. |
I liked the onside kick, we should have gotten it

Old Man Gibbs is a figurehead. He always had great assistants and great players. Now, he just has the coaching, and it's being exposed he ain't that great. Mark is the only guy on the field that really wants it, but one player can't beat 11 other guys.

Actually, I liked the Onside kick. I liked it alot actually. You could see that we caught a ton of those guys offgaurd, and the one guy who we didnt catch, was in the right position. I'm not gonna get on coach about that call, I really liked it.

This must be a joke...No one could be this clueless. If Gibbs always had such great players then why is Riggins his only HOF player 12 years after his retirement? |

Now it could be due to the new offensive linemen and TE. But especially coming off a bye week I expected more innovation. The defense was short handed and didn't give up and grabbed some turnovers to help the offense. Maybe Williams needs to try his hand at offensive play calling (just kidding). But I wouldn't fire Joe just give him more time and a draft................be patient it will take another year before we can see a big improvement. |

You guys are all very naive. Go ahead and continue to think that this old man is still a good coach. |
no actually, dont. spare us.
how many wins did we have last year at this point...im pretty sure it was more than 2 and week in, week out we were not complaining about shitty time management. |
oh right and all of Spurrier's Super Bowl rings, i forgot. give Gibbs the two years you gave Spurrier
|
First of all the season is not over until you play your last game. That's coming from someone who pulled for Rickie Harris and Norman Snead as a kid. What I really want to talk about though is simple mechanics. Over the middle passes are sailing high and gonna get some gifted receivers hurt. I don't know, but am I releasing the ball before it clears the top of my shoulder and not allowing myself a proper follow through with my body behind it or what? Man this thing the skins are going through is no cause for alarm unless Brunell is an old dog.

You fockin' guys just went ahead of us in draft position... :FIREdevil
|
never thought i'd use this smilie on this board but... :iamwithst
:stop:
Put down the chemicals. They are not good for u. All jokes aside I apologize. Hope I spelled it right. The skins are just fine as long as us fans are kept out of management decisions. Relax and enjoy the entire ride. |

:smashfrea Your last few posts have been a little ( which is to dam much ) disrespectful towards "The Man" did u even get excited when u first heard the news of gibbs returning. I didn't think so, and I sure can't understand how a skins fan could think this way then again I must be Naive but this is where I will place your comments :Flush: funny this is also where I place articles written by dallas |

Ummmm....I'm so confused. Gibbs always had great assistants. Most of the assistants he has now are the same ones he had during the glory years, and the new ones are guys like Gregg Williams, Greg Blache, Earnest Byner. Mark is the only guy on the field that really wants it. That is awesome. Do you realize how much money you could make off this ability to tell who wants it? Front offices around the league would kill to have someone who could tell them "who wants it" by watching a game on tv (or even in the stands). What exactly is it that only Brunell really wants? And if it's a win, which is what I assume you're talking about, how can you say that no one else wants that? And you have to do more than just want it. I want to buy a house but it's not going to just magically appear. |
i think marcus washington had the onside kick... he got his hands on it, but couldn't scoop it up... it wasn't really a bad call, but i think the execution could have been a bit better.. coulda, shoulda...
|
You guys are all very naive. Go ahead and continue to think that this old man is still a good coach.
We will do that because we are TRUE fans. I'm not sure what you are. Maybe retarded or just plain stupid. That old man has 3 SB rings and he's in the HOF. What else does he have to prove? |
The onsides kick was a great call, but it was unfortunately also a great heads-up play by the GB player that recovered it.
ZackMills: Mark was the only one that wanted it? Mark who??? Because I KNOW you're not talking about Brunell. How about Smoot, Springs, Gardner, Portis, etc..... This (and all of the rest of the losses) were not from lack of effort, just lack of execution (a lot of which by Mr. Brunell....none of the receivers are 7 feet tall) and some bad luck. |
i cant believe this bashing of gibbs...hes the greatest coach in our history, and one of the best of all time...lets not turn our back on him
